For a very, very reasonable price, I could not believe you could ever get such a lovely and specious room, which looks almost like an apartment (have a look at the pictures enclosed). The hotel is located in the Old Town with some fantastic front desk staff... For example, what a sweet gesture it was to provide me with even a fridge in my room. All in all, the hotel deserves its name EUROPA. Thank you for making my stay so lovely.
The Europa Hotel is perfectly located just on the pedestrian street in central Jelenia Gora. The hotel itself had it golden days during the Soviet era, and need a restoration since the rooms are heavily smoke infected which cause coughing. Note that the parking lot is on the back of the Hotel, aim for the street "Armii Karmowej"
Hotel Europa is a typical Eastern Europe style hotel. Big stairways, long corridors and high ceilings. A bit worn, but still shows off its old glory. Spacious room with new and very clean bathroom. Nice bed. Friendly staff. Speak some English and German. Simple breakfast wuth scrambled eggs, sausage, boiled eggs, cheese and charcuterie.Located right in the centre with very little traffic. Exchange office at ground floor.
Great location, nice and helpful staff. Clean, quite spacious rooms and clean bathroom. Really good prices. Breakfast wasn't good but there is a lot of cafes and bars ;) I can recommend this hotel for everybody who want to stay near the old town for good price :)
This hotel fronts the main pedestrian street through town, so you can't drive to the front. A lot is out back with a guy standing watch and taking money...and you need it, because packs of roving rowdies roam the area at night. Do NOT park your car in an area that's not guarded. The room was fine, but fronted the pedestrian mall. This was fine during the day when it's crowded with tourists, but impossible at night when the drunks and teenagers come out and party until all hours of the night. IMPOSSIBLE to sleep at this hotel if you're on the front (and no AC, of course, so have to keep windows open in the summer). For Poland, this isn't a bad hotel, but just ask for a room off the front...and don't roam the streets after dark. I was even accosted repeatedly by a panhandler from the time I first walked out the door until I left, the most persistent I've seen anywhere in the world. Pass on this area after dark. …
