Detailed Reviews
A great family run hotel. rooms are very clean and comfortable. The restaurant and bar are homely with a great traditional menu. Ask the proprietor for some 'medicine'!
The honey beer is also a must to try along with Polish dumplings and garlic prawns (shrimps)

Chose this hotel on our way back home from Warsaw. Pity is was for one night as we received a great welcome from Marta and hubby, owners. Rooms were top notch with aircon. Breakfast included was more than sufficient and great choice. Dinner in the restaurant was superb with a great choice, we were recommended the traditional filled dumplings, lovely well recommended. Thank you for the plum liquor. This hotel is definitely recommended if you’re visiting Poland.

This is my second stay with a big family and a dog at Hotel Protea. We have also stayed at the Blue Beetroot. Both are good but we prefer the Protea. It’s in town, it’s quaint. We get the apartment with the fireplace and it’s so cozy! They left gingerbread cookies in our room and wine, and bottled waters! There was a fridge and kettle and tea. They had a dog bowl ready for the dog. There could be one more garbage can in the room in addition to the bathroom garbage. The cookies are yummy but they used to put a frosting glaze on them and now they don’t which was sad. The breakfast used to be a buffet and now it’s table service which I liked a lot better! I’m not sure if they changed it for COVID but they should keep it this way. I thought it was more personable and better choices than before. The dinner restaurant was amazing! Best meal my husband had had in a long time he said! My dog was welcome Also. I love the gift choices you can buy in the lobby as well. Hotel protea is always where we will stay in the future!

This hotel is awesome. The People on reception know multiple languages, so it's easy to talk with them. Also the rooms are great, and the shower is working unlike other hotels. You can also buy souveniers! Recommend it.

The staff was excellent and I wish more hotels would have such a nice and competent personnel.
Rooms were very clean, I had everything I needed for my stay. Food is a huge positive of this hotel I regrated not ordering more when I had a chance. I even enjoyed breakfast which is way better than many other top hotels with their Continental rubbish.
If I had to nit peak room doors are very thin and you can hear everything that is happening on the corridor which wasn’t really a problem since the hotel was quit empty.
Overall I’m definitely planning on comping back with my girlfriend

I’ve been staying at the Protea for years, they continue to upgrade their facility every year. They now have AC, real AC that really cools your room. The rooms may be small, but no smaller then the Blue Beet. The breakfast is great. They have a lovely garden and terrace. Several sitting areas that you and your friends can enjoy. Great bar and restaurant, and the prices are very good. The hotel is convenient to the factory row. Not out of the way, but in a very quite safe area.

I took a quick trip to Boleslawiec to shop for pottery and stayed at the Protea Hotel. I was thrilled! It was located in a cute and quiet side street just a few steps from the pottery stores. The staff was very friendly, attentive, and helpful. My room was comfortable and had everything I needed. I was not so hungry for breakfast, but I checked out the selection and everything looked delicious. If you are coming to Boleslawiec, especially for pottery, this is definitely the best place to stay!

Wow! What a fantastic place. We’re given a wonderful welcome by Marta and her team. Nothing was too much trouble and, Marta, your English is brilliant! Rooms we’re lovely, we’ll equipped, spacious, nicely decorated. Had a meal in the Restaurant and what a great meal it was. Sampled some of the local beers too, highly recommend the honey beer, really lovely. The restaurant is beautiful. In short we had a fantastic stay and are hoping to come back again. Can’t recommend this place enough. It was simply amazing!

One more possibility, Hotel PROTEA offer a rent of bike for our guests.
This is very good choice to visit a pottery shop and made shopping.
Bikes have big baskets and trunk very useful for pottery.
