We stayed here for 3 nights and really enjoyed our stay. The location of the hotel was great, only a short 10 minute walk to the centre of town and opposite a supermarket. The staff were friendly and we really enjoyed our breakfast. The room for eating was really lovely, especially in the morning with the light! We both didn't sleep very well as we didn't find the bed comfortable and the dressing gowns were very old and stiff. It would have been nice to have our own kettle to make teas and coffees in our room- these are our only negatives.
Wonderful place. Old wordly atmosphere and a wonderful sense of traditional. Beautifully furnished bedroom and bathroom. We were here in winter and the whole Willa was beautifully warm. The breakfast is excellent as is the food in the wonderful restaurant. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is one of the female staff was extremely rude when we arrived and throughout our stay especially at breakfast time. Other than that I would highly reccomend.
Lovely hotel, in an old-style wooden building about fice mins walk from the station/bus station. Very comfortable and clean rooms. Excellent breakfast and good dinner at restaurant too. Only downsides were ridiculously thin curtains that let light into the room, and not very comfortable, thin pillows.
This is a beautifully restored building with wonderfully decorated rooms. Our room had a large and very comfortable bed and we were able to relax and sleep soundly. The breakfasts were lovely. A great choice of continental goods and a choice of freshly cooked hot items. The added bonus was the Zakopianska restaurant which is within the same building. This serves high quality food at great prices and not the usual tourist style food that most of the other local places serve. A fantastic place that ticks all the boxes.
Despite the photos published by the hotel the family room with two bedroom is incredibly ,depressing small. It says 40 sq m but I think it is maximum the half of it. The smaller room is ridiculous. Two beds , and you can hardly enter. Cannot open the window. You cannot stand up in 80 % of the bathroom . So the photos are much better than reality! Poor supply at the breakfast. When they run out of something on the buffet table they leave it as it is. They dont bring even if you ask for. So altogether I dont recommend this place. For this money you can get better.
I've had a pleasure to stay in this lovely hotel just for one night (I wish I stayed longer there). Bedroom is beautifully decorated and stylish(had a balcony, nice tv). Big advantage of this place is good restaurant on the site, so you don't have to bother finding a restaurant when you come back to hotel after all day of exploring mountains! Food in restaurant was delicious and service exceed expectations. Breakfast in the morning offered a nice choice of continental foods and they also prepare you whatever you'd like to have for your breakfast, which is very nice as it's all good quality and fresh. Next to the hotel there's a supermarket, so you can buy things you need. Location is also good as it's about 10 minutes walk to the town centre/ All the staff was very friendly and helpful. Next time I'll be back to Zakopane, I'll be staying there again, as it's been very relaxing stay.…
The place is beuatifull and cosy, but is it worth the price - you should visit and answer yourself. The room was clean and fresh (almost), but it's size was nothing like descibed in booking service (room was much smaller than promissed - still enaough for 3 days for a couple, but not longer). Bed - very comfy - quality sleeping after whole day mountain hiking. Bathroom - clean, but with some stains in the shower. Breakfasts - tasty and fine, something good for everyone, but with no surprises. But in the evenings we preferred to look for some other restaurant, because of rather high prices.
We wanted to spend Christmas in Poland, preparing for this trip for a few months. We booked this place in October after a thorough research. So it came as a shock to us when on the day of our arrival we got a call from the hotel informing us the room is unavailable due to some water problems and we should either find another place ourselves (!!!) or accept their proposal which was a chalet 5km away from Zakopane. As we booked our trip through Booking.com we got in touch and after a few hours they found us a new place. Thats definitely not a guest responsibility to look for a new accommodation, of course unexpected things happen but its the way the staff deals with them which is important. We were very disappointed.
The room was gorgeous and we really felt welcome. Nice atmosphere and staff. The restaurant was good and like the hotel it combines tradition with comfort and innovation. We just missed more curtains on the windows (we were awaken by the light in the morning). More advice on touristic attractions would also have been good.
If one wants to stay in a national heritage site (the building is under protection), one could not chose better: designed by Witkiewicz, it belonged to the family of Joseph Conrad, who wrote one of his novels here, the place had been rnovated very recently with a great care of the detail. I really enjoyed our room and the ambiance of the place: with character, but not over done. The office staff is super friendly and helpful, they will check the weather forecast for you (we had a long trail planned on the day with storms), will provide you with maps and all tips, and probably all other help you should require. The breakfast is one of the best I had in a hotel (they do not spare costs on the quality of the products), and the lady serving it is super nice (custom made eggs? no problem! no idea what to eat? she will try her best to come up with something perfect for you). The location was perfect for us, a 5min walk from the train/bus station, so ideal for catching the morning bus to the National Park and trail, and at the same time in the city center. The aqua-park is across the street, the Hasior museum is just on the back of the Willa. True, the place has not so nice views from the windows, but at the end I was really happy to have Biedronka (a large store next to the willa with a car park) so near by. Luckily, it is also made in the typical polish highlander style, so it does not hurt your eyes.…
