This hostel is located near Zakopane. It's a wooden mountain lodge and it has everything you need the become completely zen. It's close to the walking trails and a bit further from the town. We had trouble finding a ride there, because we didn't know what bus to take. So remember: you can take any bus from the center saying... More

Zakopane is not a big city and this location is worth the distance out of town. It's close to hiking trails, with great views and wonderful people. It was perfect for myself and a friend who went hiking and wanted to escape the city.

A good place to base yourself for hiking around Zakopane. The location is a short drive from town in a secluded woodland area. Hostel has nice enough rooms although the bedding could be updated. Good kitchen facilities, good free breakfast and helpful staff.

Zakopane was awesome after having spent a few weeks in different cities. The mountains, rivers and general scenery was spectacular especially as I had no idea Poland had such countryside. The hostel was cosy, with a bunch of friendly people always on hand to chat with after a long day of hiking. Facilities were good although when full the wait... More

First of all, its location. The presentation on its fancy website is misleading where it says "enjoy 30mins walk" to the hostel from train/coach station. It won't happen even if you run. There are very few (in terms of number and their frequency) regular public buses from coach station/town center running to the hostel and the last bus stops before... More

this place was a little bit tricky to find for the first time. It is quite far from town and feels like it is in the middle of nowhere but once I got my head round that I felt like in a children's story, the magic hut in a far away land:-) The room was clean and the bathroom/shower that... More

No words can exactly explain my great experience. Here I had the chance to live for a bit more than one month. To volunteer. Not because I volunteered I'm writing this great review. Been already back from there one month and I'm really missing it. It's a home for me and looking forward to back soon when I can. Location:... More

Good Bye Lenin Hostel is a lovely chalet situated near the entrance of the national Park of Tatras. Reachable thanks to a little dirt road, you'll certainly be charmed by this haven of peace. Added to this, the staff is very nice and very flexible.

This is a very homely hostel. The night I stayed everyone had dinner together and played card games. I felt very relaxed here. The room was clean and it was a great place to go hiking from. The staff were all very helpful and I could tell that other people staying longer really found this hostel a home from home.... More

“IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR THIS PLACE PLEASE READ: Advice from two girls who are pretty good with directions but still got confused: you catch the minibus 73 to the stop, you'll see a sign with Goodbye Lenin Hostel pointing down a driveway - follow that driveway all the way to the end, keep going straight, and a driveway will curve slightly up hill and to the right, just keep going, we thought it was private property and we were headed for a dead end, but the hostel is just a little cabin, the only house along the end there.”
