Great quiet corner of Zakopane away from crowds and busy streets. We stayed for 1 night and really enjoyed our room. Fantastic comfortable bed and tasty traditional polish polish breakfast were great. If I could I would give them 6* review for service!! We got stuck in the snow at the hotel parking lot and your gentleman (sorry didn’t get the name) went above and beyond to dig us out of it. He even used his own vehicle to pull us out and help. Fantastic crew Tatra Chalet! Keep pushing you guys are great and we will be back one day but definitely in the summer this time lol.

Have just spent three nights here. We had a wonderful stay away from busy Zakopane downtown. Bartosz and Aleksandra were especially kind to us, totally accommodating, no request was ever too much for them. The accommodation is beautiful and we were in room 6 with wonderful views of the mountains in the snow. Breakfast was excellent, a delightful selection, and cooked breakfast available if you wished. This is a haven of peace and tranquility and well worth a visit. Wonderful jacuzzi and sauna to relax the body after a long day walking. Congratulations Tatra Chalet you did a great job! Hope to see you next year.

We had a great stay at Tatra Chalet. The room was lovely and spacious and the breakfast was super. However, what really made our stay was the helpfulness of the staff. We were given great advice on hiking. Nothing was too much trouble. This made our stay.

The location of this hotel make it an amazing value. You’re walking distance to the national forest and mountain, city center isn’t far to walk either. The staff at the hotel was very attentive and friendly and a wealth of knowledge. Plus their jacuzzi came in handy after long day hikes! Breakfast was great and you can order scramble eggs or soft boiled eggs if you’d like. Clean rooms, nice views, quiet location; What’s not to love?

We made a big mistake booking a standard room. As mentioned by other reviewers the standard room is not fit for purpose. It's fit for a single bed. As we were staying for 8 nights we decided, eventually, to upgrade to a larger room. This was the right decision but we were fleeced over 50% more than we'd already paid -galling when the same room was available online for significantly less. Our new room was spacious and well equipped with a massive bathroom with enclosed toilet and shower. It had a bath too. The heated floor was amazing. It allowed all your wet clothes to be dried overnight! We had two balconies, one overlooked the car park and one gave a great view of the mountains. Negative points were that the bedding was slightly too small for the size of the bed and the heating didn't seem to work very well (it was needed at night sometimes) although they were happy to provide a portable heater. The staff were very good. Anna was exceptional with great English and all the know-how of where to walk and how to get there. Bart and the others were good too. Breakfast was fine with superb bread and choices of continental delicacies. They provided egg dishes too but the arrival of these depended on how the staff member was expected to multi-task. Greeting guests, making coffee, checking out guests, cleaning the car park and remembering to offer an egg dish sometimes slipped the memory! The jacuzzi and sauna were excellent and my wife loved the massages. Location wise the hotel is at the top of a hill about 25 mins walk from the town centre. The number 12 bus stops nearby but there are only one an hour and none after early evening. That said the Tatra National Park is only 5 minutes walk away so its excellently located for walkers. There are several restaurants nearby and we had no issue in finding good quality and great value meals. So to conclude a very good hotel but make sure you do not reserve the standard room!
