    Friendly and adequate
Stayed here after long journey by coach. ( 34 hrs) Beds were comfortable, bedrooms varied in size but were adequate and bathrooms good size. Cleanliness excellent throughout the hotel. Food plentiful both at breakfast and evening meal. Staff very helpful when my husband was ill the first day. Small bar but made it cosy, drinks were done by receptionist. Super swimming pool, jacuzzi and space age open solarium. Definitely will stay again but not going by coach next time. Good base for trips Sorry no photos as lost my camera

    A coach holiday
Stayed at this hotel on a coach holiday with Shearings in February, couldn't really fault anything. Breakfast was buffet style and the evening meal was 3 course, choosing what you wanted the night before. There is a small swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna free to use. A small lounge where you could either buy drinks from reception or bring your own drinks from the supermarket and just ask for a glass. The hotel is close to the main shopping area and a market further down selling all sorts of things. I bought a large sheepskin rug for just £18, brilliant value. I had a fabulous time, met lovely people. A great holiday, we had a lot of snow but that made it even more magical. Oh and yes there is a hair dryer in the room ladies. Would love to go back again to see what it's like without snow. There is so much more to see than I actually did because of all the trips on the coach, which were also excellent.

    Loved the czarny Potok
We travelled with Wallace Arnold/ Shearings to Poland, a trip of some 32 hours but there were plenty of stops along the way and when we finally arrived it was well worth the journey. The hotel was very quaint, clean and the food and service were excellent. Zakopane is beautiful and extremely cheap, the market in the town is NOT to be missed and neither is the trip up the mountain by vehicular train, the views are stunning!! Both myself and my hubby are planning another trip to Poland.

Bedroom on third floor awful. Bed hurt my back + other couple we spoke to commented on hard bed with odd soft pillows. Quilts too small for bed so had use single bed one also. Lounge small but cosy. Massive breakfast choice was best thing about hotel. Really 5 star. Evenings meals were mixed bag- no choice except meat or veg main course. Starters were clear soups bulked with rice spaghetti or noodles. Mains good. Sweets nice some nights. Staff helpful + hard working + polite. Close to main centre so quick walk to shops market cafes + restaurants.

The only pro for this hotel is its location..... Cons: Swimming pool and Jacuzzi are COLD Unfriendly, unhelpful staff No coffee pot or kettle in room If you want coffee during day/night you need to pay for it!! Furniture in room old, marred and ripped Breakfast is a bunch of small salads and stale breads and cakes... Dog barking early every morning wouldn't stay there again or recommend it to friends

Location - Very close to the centre of Zakopane yet quiet and peaceful at night. Perfect. Staff - Very friendly and helpful Room - The room we had was a bit smaller than we expected and although the hotel is quite charming, the room we had was quite dated, didn't have air conditioning and didn't feel all that clean. Swimming pool - A bit smaller than it looks in the photos, but excellent all the same. Breakfast - Decent continental breakfast with plenty of choice and fresh food. All in all a decent budget option if you don't plan on being in your room too much and really just want somewhere to lay down your head

We selected the Czarny Potok hotel because it represented good value for our short stay in Zakopane. It was close to the main sites that we wanted to visit and included breakfast in the price. The hotel also has a pool on site and spa services on offer, although we did not partake. There is a small amount of parking on site and also a car park across the road is used for overflow. The hotel has free wi-fi. We found that breakfast included many options, including both hot and cold offerings and was very tasty. The service from the staff was a little indifferent throughout our stay. Not sure if this applies on every day, but we found that on Sunday we had towels replaced, but the beds just had the bedding thrown back into place and pretty much nothing else was done. That didn’t bother us, but other travellers who are more particular might not appreciate full service. We did have a look at the pool although we ran out of time to use it. While we had warm weather during our stay in Zakopane, the rooms don’t appear to have individual air conditioning, but windows do open for fresh air. Overall, the hotel represents good value for money with okay service.

Our stay was a very positive experience. The Hotel is a short (10 minutes, easy stroll) from the main town centre. The room we had, was large, comfortable and well cleaned. All of our interactions with staff were positive. Everyone was helpful and willing to do their bit to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The spa facilities are - maybe a little bit smaller than you might think from the management pictures, but there are a pool, sauna and jacuzzi which are very welcome after an active day.

We were on the top floor which was the 3rd. We always walked up and down the 47 steps, never used the lift. No tea and coffee facilities in the room, no English at all on tv. WiFi was free and very good. Our bedding had holes in and even when changed were replaced with clean bedding, which also had holes in. Not impressed with the cleaning in our room, we had a dead wasp on our bathroom shelf throughout our stay and it was only removed on our last day. Bathroom towels quite thin. Food was ok for us as we are not big eaters but heard a lot complaining of small portions. What struck us as a major thing was that the staff all seemed very sullen apart from one waitress who did smile a lot. The lounge area is very small and does not seat many people. The hotel is very picturesque from the outside. We went with Shearings as part of the Polish discovery tour. We absolutely loved Poland especially Zakopane. So very cheap to eat and drink here.
