We have stayed at Hotel Patria four different times when we visit Zakopane. We return because of the warm and friendly staff. They are so welcoming, accommodating and professional. The location is in a quiet neighborhood, yet it is a convenient walk to Krupowki, cafes, restaurants, museums as well as trails to Tatra National Park. We love the outdoor seating in the back off the restaurant, where you can relax and enjoy a dinner & beer while viewing the mountains. The breakfast is wonderful and Polish traditional with a variety of healthy selections. The restaurant also serves lunch and dinner as well as wine, beer or mixed drinks. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the housekeeping service is excellent. The rates are very reasonable. We have always thoroughly enjoyed our visits to Hotel Patria.

Situated 5 min. walk from the bus/train station and 10 min. walk to the main street. The Hotel has 2 buildings - the main one holds a reception and a restaurant (where b-fast is served) and to get to the other building you have to cross the yard. This is where we got our en-suite room with a balcony. There is no lift in this building but we did not mind. Our room was better than I had expected, small but cozy and newly furbished. We had wonderful view overlooking the mountains. You can appreciate being close to the bus station if you would like to go for 1 day trips to Zakopane sorroundings and have no car - inexpensive transfers are being offered to various tourist destinations (cities, around Tatra, Slovakia etc.). Vans have clear displays of a destination - check on map what you'd like to see or chose whichever mini-van full of tourists - buses go as soon as they are full (which is pretty quick). Tourist Information is located just a few steps away from Toliar Hotel but help is offered also at the reception of the Hotel.

A very pleasant and lovely hotel. The staff were always very welcoming and friendly. The room was very clean and well maintained. Breakfast was very nice and a great selection. I never ate in the hotel in the evening (as I have the holiday habit of wanting to eat out, rather than eat in!) but it looked very nice too. The location is great, in a quite road, there is a local grocery shop very nearby, and 10-15 minutes gentle walk to the main shopping street. This is my fourth time in Zakopane, and first time at this hotel - I hope to stay here again next year.
If I had to find fault, I could have lived without the music that was played in the public areas. It just seemed to be the one CD (I can only describe it as lazy jam blues) which started to drive me a little crazy! Maybe I'm just not a bluesy kinda guy! It wasn't a problem :)

We stayed in the hotel for 4 days, and honestly speaking there is hardly anything we could complain about. The location is very convenient – almost in the center of Zakopane, but close to Kuźnice, where a lot of mountain trails start. The hotel itself, though 3-start, appeared to provide nearly 4-star experience. Quite recently renovated, it offers spacious, well-equipped rooms with good WIFI. Bathrooms are small but new and outstandingly clean. The service is competent and effective. The breakfasts were the biggest surprise to us, offering an unusually wide variation of different hot and cold items, all fresh and delicious. When we visit Zakopane for the next time, we will definitely stay in Hotel Patria again.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for one night on 27 December 2018 and from the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome. We were able to park our car in the hotel carpark which was securely fenced and well maintained. From reception we could see an open fireplace in the lounge area and with the logs burning looked very inviting with sofas and chairs. It also included a pool table. The receptionist was genuinely helpful and having taken the lift to the second floor we had a short walk up the staircase to our room (room 304). In fact we asked a cleaner to point us in the right direction and she did so in a friendly and helpful manner. We had our dog with us and pleasantly surprised to see that our room appeared to be new and was comfortably furnished with quality soft furnishings and fittings, TV, and complimentary water bottles. It was very clean and the bathroom was spotless with good quality tiling, a good sized shower cubicle, sink and towel heater.
Our room was at the top of the hotel which meant that the ceiling sloped across our bed but this was no problem at all and we could still move around without problem. The bed was very clean with fresh white sheets, pillow cases and duvet. My wife and I slept very soundly and I must say that this was probably one of the most comfortable beds we have ever used. My wife has a back problem and is always worried as to how comfortable the bed will be but with this bed she was very happy to report that she slept very well and in fact we overslept which is unusual.
Breakfast was served up to 10am and it was traditionally Polish with a very large choice, including scrambled eggs, sausages, salads, hams, cheeses, white and brown bread, small cakes, juice, jams, tea, coffee etc. It was a very enjoyable experience and the kitchen staff were very friendly and happy to help with anything.
The hotel is located in a quiet peaceful part of Zakopane and just a 10 minute walk to the main Krupowki Street where there are many restaurants etc.
I would definitely recommend this hotel and can say that the staff were friendly and professional. The small Christmas tree in our room was a nice touch and the decorations throughout the hotel were of good quality. Someone had given a lot of thought to the position of the decorations and it worked well with the surroundings.
We have been to Zakopane many times in the past and this hotel offered good value for money. This was our first time here but would happily return and stay longer next time. Whoever is managing this hotel is going about it in exactly the right way. One thing I sense is that there is a team spirit amongst the staff which is clearly reflected in their dealings with customers.

Me and my family always come to this lovely Gem in Zakopane! All Staff are very friendly (starting from Receptionists, Waiteress and Housekeeping) Breakfast is excellent, offers variety of choice so everybody can find something for themselves, Rooms are ok, tidy and clean and they have got everything what you need. Since few months Restaurant menu has much improved and now for me it is the best food in Zakopane which is much different from typical regional cuisine... If you got chance you must try their awesome Pancakes, beer, deserts! Hotel is also located in very convienient area to city centre and path way to the mountain trekkings .....
To sum up, worth spending money and if you are looking for a great service with unique atmosphere and superb restaurant this is the place for you. The only thing I would improve are the bed mattresses:) I would definately come back and recommend to everybody!
