Detailed Reviews
We spent 3 nights in Zakopane and this was a great place to base ourselves. Our room was toward the back of the property, so street noise, and even the church bells, were not a problem.
The location was great, with lots of restaurants close by. We arrived and departed by bus, and it's about a 15 minute walk from the bus station. We also needed to book a train during our stay, and the receptionist helped us with the booking and printed our receipt for us.
Our room was spacious for a European hotel, and was very comfortable and clean. The wi-fi in the room was accessible, but very slow; it was a lot better in the dining area. The breakfast buffet had plenty of selection, and they will even make omelets, which were quite good.
This is definitely a place to consider staying while visiting Zakopane.

This is a gem of a hotel at the base of the Main Street and 2 minutes walk from the venicular railway. Really convenient for all the bars, restaurants and shops.
The hotel is lovely and warm and very comfortable. There is a cafe and cake shop next door and a lovely restaurant on the corner opposite.
The hotel is clean and all the staff are friendly.
The only downside is there is not lift, so carrying luggage to the second floor is challenging. They do have someone to help if you can't manage.
Ideally situated for the mountains and the town.
Breakfast was great with lots of choice.

We stayed in Zakopane for three nights in September 2015. We booked the Villa Vita while we were in Krakow through Booking.com for a very good price. When we arrived in Zakopane (by bus) we caught a cab to the hotel, it was about a 10 minute ride. The hotel is right at the start of Krupowki St. After carrying our luggage up many flights of stairs (they don't have a lift) to the top floor, we settled into our room - double bed, wardrobe, desk, window overlooking Gubalowka and small bathroom. The room was comfortable, a decent size, clean and well-presented. The bathroom was a bit small but was clean. The shower did leak a bit of water, but not enough that it caused a problem (the staff did come and inspect the shower leak one night as the people staying on the floor below had to deal with a more significant shower leak). Breakfast was included with the accommodation and was served in the 'Pistachio salon' which was really cute. I'm of Polish decent so I really enjoyed the traditional Polish breakfast, which consisted of different types of cold cuts, bread rolls, some fresh salad items and condiments, as well as yoghurt, cereal, tea and coffee. The kitchen staff came out and took orders for eggs from each table - fried or scrambled. It was quite a simple menu and perhaps if you were a vegetarian or had specific dietary requirements, it may not cater to your needs. The staff both at breakfast and at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. The receptionist helped us to organise bus tickets back to Krakow and also rang the MAV (Hungarian train company) to help us sort out train tickets to Budapest (our next destination). There were some downsides to our stay but none that were enough to make us reconsider our booking - the lack of a lift when you are travelling internationally and have to lug a big, heavy suitcase up several flights of stairs was annoying. As we had a room facing the street, we did hear a bit of drunken yelling and singing over one of two nights of our stay. Also, if you're a light sleeper, you may be awoken by the Church adjacent to the Villa Vita, which chimes throughout the evening and from early in the morning. It wasn't loud enough that it was a problem but it did wake me up (but I think that's a part of the experience too!). Villa Vita was good value for money, comfortable with good service - I would stay here again.

Generally good sized rooms but be warned that there are plenty of steps to get to them. This can be a trial if you are travelling with kids and/or large suitcases. A very good buffet breakfast is offered and the Villa Is extremely well positioned to access most of the local points of interest.

We ordered a deluxe room but got a room under the roof . City noise and church bells sounded through the walls . There was no prospect of roof windows . There was a strange smell in the corridors .
The bed was assembled from several different piece . bedding was much used and broken.
Water bottles were only on the first day . The trash was taken away only after the first day .
Breakfast was good . Location was good . Parking was good .
This hotel was not worth the money that we paid .
We were hoping more . The pictures were beautiful than reality.

i stayed @ villa vita shortly before christmas 2009. i was 7 months pregnant with my daughter at the time.
villa vita is situated at the very bottom of krupowki which is the main street in zakopane. perfect location (?). we were given a first floor room.our windows were facing the village church and this is where the story begins...
the church bell rings every 15 mintues day and night. you will not find this information on the hotel's website.my husband and me ended up wearing ear plugs just to make it through the night. the room was large and comfortable with separate lounge and bedroom.
the curtians were not lined and the electric lamp light was beaming into the bedroom which made the situation even worst. i have reported the fact that the curtains were haning off the rail a few times but nothing has been done about it.
the most horrible thing however was the smell coming out of the bathroom drains. at this stage i was way passed the morning sickness but every time i have entred the bathroom the smell made me gagg.
not everything was awfull of course! the breakfast was nice and the lady who served it could not try enough to make us feel good. the hotel is in prime location but i would not go back there.

Villa Vita is very well located in a pedestrian area close to everywhere. Although the area is pretty busy all day long the hotel room was still soundproof even though it was a corner room and faced the road. We enjoyed a lovely view of the Gubalowka mountain. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. However the hotel does not have a lift and we had to carry a big and heavy suitcase up to the second floor! Big dining room for breakfast with different foods to choose from. Although the breakfast staff performed their duty well, they were not English speaking and could not understand a simple request for hot chocolate.
Unfortuantely this is the problem for non-Polish speaking tourists in Zakopane because very few people speak good English even staff at local museums! All the signs are in Polish and one can feel quite frustrated when you have to guess what it all means. At least restaurant menus had the English translation on them otherwise eating out would have been a hassle.

Stayed over Xmas period 2017, good and bad points!
Good points, location is great right on the Main Street, good breakfast, nice rooms, on site parking.
Bad points, staff weren’t friendly hardly a hello when checking in no explanation of breakfast timings/location etc, asked for info on ski lessons to be met with “don’t know” and shrug of shoulders.
House keeping Was Missed on Christmas Day and we were told there was no cleaning that day ( not warned) but we saw the cleaner after breakfast cleaning rooms.
Toiletries were not replaced after day one we had to go out and buy shower gel/shampoo after two days.
Rooms were either boiling hot or freezing cold.
On check out not one word was spoken!
Not how was your stay or a good bye.
Potentially a good hotel if they retrain there staff!

We are going to add a great review for Villa Vita!!! I understand from other reviews that it could be busy and noisy in peak season if you have a room at the front of the hotel but, mid December in a room at the back of the property, Room 21, it was so quiet and relaxing. Spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and tastefully adorned for Xmas. Classy. The bathroom was always warm and well stocked with cosmetics. Beds comfortable with lovely white, crisp linen. The Sala Pistachio breakfast room is calm and restful with a wide selection of foods .... even warm dishes. Lovely smooth coffee. The pecan mini pastries are to die for and the ladies on duty each morning couldn't have been more friendly. We only had to step out of the front door of the Villa to be 'part of it', adjacent to the vehicular, close to lovely restaurants and shops and the town's main promenade. The town's Xmas decorations were beautiful and walking in the snow each other Veni g was just heavenly. The church opposite is one of the most beautifully decorated inside I have seen. We were lucky to experience a mass there. If I were to make a suggestion to improve the experience for us within the Villa it would have been lovely to have had a common area with easy chairs and perhaps a fire for hotel guests to sit around. It is enjoyable to have a drink, read or check emails where you can chat to other travellers ...... There is room for such an area on the second floor. Having said that, we loved the Villa.... Definitely recommend it.

The rooms were clean, but the lighting in the bathroom was subpar. The breakfast was very good. The location was not what we expected, as it was located on a busy, noisy tourist area. Staff was not very helpful, for few spoke good English.
