Its an average hotel which is quite a walk from the center. There is a bus stop nearby with frequent buses. However have cash ready. Pros: good wifi Cons: v late breakfast at 8 am, no tea coffee in room only kettle, reception lady v negative every time I asked something she would go not possible you cant do it!! I guess you get what you pay for. Cheap stay!

Nice, clean and cozy. I paid 95 PLN - around 26 USD for a single room. The place is very well located to all city attractions as well on the way to Kuźnice when you may start your hiking adventure. The big minus for a late breakfast, which starts at 7.30 am, way to late if you're planning all day hike.

My wife and I stayed here on our much anticipated return to Zakopane. We were not disappointed! The hotel is clean and comfortable and the staff are always friendly and accommodating. We were given one of the top floor double rooms which had a low but very comfortable bed- we slept soundly every night! The room was always warm and the balcony was a great touch for some fresh air. The bathroom was spacious and the shower was hot and powerful- perfect after a long day skiing! There is a kettle in your room but the fresh coffee in the reception is great and you can take a cup up to your room. The location is great if you are planning on doing some skiing as it's about half way between Nosal ski slopes and Krupowki (the main bar/restaurant area). Overall we would highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Zakopane.

It was really huge disappointment. First of all the hotel was horrible, or at least the room we've got. Second of all, we couldn't believe the website we used to do reservation from has anything to do with this kind of place. Really, please... Zakopane is a town where you could find hundreds of place to stay. This one offered to us a really small room, with dirty, outdated and worn up furniture. The carpet was covered with stains and everything was just not pleasant to be around. Yes, there was a kettle you could heat up water, but nothing like coffee was available next to it. Bathroom stunk like a sewer, simply disgusting place to be. We stayed there only for one night and we just didn't want to make a big deal about it at the moment. But the thing is, we would never, never come back there and we don't recommend anybody to go to there. Don't loose your money and time. This place is just depressing.

We stayed at this hotel in October 2012 with friends who had been there before. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful on reception, but we did have some issues with it all. The beds were more like futons, low down and not the most comfortable and our friend's room had a slight smell of sewage just like one of the other reviewer's.Towels were not changed and there was just liquid soap out of dispensers in the bathroom. A kettle was available in the room but we had to go down to the basement to the restaurant for tea bags, cups, milk.and sugar. Why were the proper facilities to make tea or coffee not in the room with the kettle? We decided to eat in the restaurant and were the only people there. That tells its own story. The food was very average with a limited menu. One of our friends had the pork knuckle and it was really so overcooked that she couldn't get the knife or fork into it. My wife's meal with a sort of potato rosti was also overdone and even tasted a bit burnt but on the plus side the goulash was good. We eventually went to the Gazdovo Kuzia at the far end of the pedesrian precinct to eat. That was just excellent. The choice was good, the food was typical local Polish and there was local entertainment on the Saturday night. If you want to eat well, go there. It's a long walk but there are plenty of places to park if you decide to drive.Meanwhile, back at the hotel, the breakfast buffets were as good as anywhere and although the hotel was generally clean and tidy I think that if I went to Zakopnae again I would choose the Hotel Crocus next door or a hotel nearer to the centre of the town. It is worth noting that this hotel does not have a lift so you will have to carry your luggage to your room if you are on one of the upper floors.

This hotel was aposutely lovely. Breakfast was worth getting up earlier for, which is the normal on holiday anyway, especially in such a naturally beautiful place. I found the staff very polite, they even offered us free pool in the executive confrence room. The resturant, situated at the hotels front, was also very very nice, as well as resonably priced. The young lady that served us was also very helpful and willing to chat when initiated. It's a few minutes walk to the town centre which is full of super wooden resturants and shops. All in all a lovely base for a great get away!

The PRO's: 1. Breakfast is great - and is well worth the effort. The restaurant is great value, and the food very good quality. 2. The hotel is located about a 15 minute walk up the hill away from town. That being said, it is located close to the learning slopes and there is easy access by bus to (and walking) to all the attractions of Zakopane.
The CON's: 1. The staff are blatantly rude. We got told that if we wanted to wash clothes, we should befriend a local with a washing machine as there were no laundry services. They had no knowledge of the happenings in town and were generally uninterested in the New Year celebrations. In addition, it seemed the only reason they spoke to us was to practice their English! 2. The beds were uncomfortable, and the room staff had to be asked to change sheets and towels - even if the towels were left on the floor. 3. There bathroom kept smelling like sewage, as the sewage tank overflowed at Xmas time. This was evident out the front of the hotel, and other guests said the same thing. 4. The hair dryer was not working - and in a snowy cold environment, this is unacceptable. 5. The internet kept going down. 6. There was a pool table and sauna advertised, however the pool table was only available during the summer time and the sauna was an extra charge (around £18 an hour - not worth it at all!)
There were a lot of issues. However, in fairness, we did spend 11 days there. I am able to have these opinions after giving the hotel a fair chance and seeing that after the first 5 days nothing had changed.
I would not go back. I would probably go for the Hotel Crocus next door.

Came into Zakopane late in the evening July 201., Being a touristy city and recreational destination in Poland i'd made reservation the night before. Got a great deal, with breakfast included.
Had a bit of trouble finding the hotel as its situated in the back from the street. Homely nice, with the appearance of an over sized house. Friendly staff, Got a good parking next to the entrance. Room was very small but clean, and did the trick for a one night stopover.
Breakfast served in the morning was awesome. Clearly, at least at the time I was there, the kitchen was run by someone who took great pride in their work. Possibly the best and most diverse breakfast setup during my 15 days ride through Europe!

Location of this hotel is okay - not so far from the centre, parking is available.. hotel is near Shell, so I could start a day with good coffe and fresh juice. Rooms are pretty small, but nice and clean. Definitelly good value to price.

I had a fantastic stay at Fian, the staff are extremely helpful, particularly the receptionist. She helped me with any questions I had and gave me good tips on where to go, food, etc. I felt very welcomed during my stay. The room is comfortable and breakfast had a really good layout of Polish food. A lot of options to choose from.

"Get a bus just up the road to the cable car. It's just a couple of zloty and the views from the top of the mountain are magnificent. At the other end of town go up the funicular railway and look back at the mountains. You won't regret it."
