Design of shower probably needs a little more thought into it. The drain was right below the shower, thus one would be standing on the drain cover when showering - a little uncomfortable, I'd say. Also, there are no shelves...so the small tube of shampoo and tiny cake of soap had to be placed on the floor. Hmmm !
Fridge and kettle also provided. The instant coffee packs were pretty decent. No alarm clock available in the room...thus, one has to rely on one's phone or electronics to find out the local time.
Breakfast was pretty good....though the spread wasn't that much. One could also request made to orders from the chef.
Fitness room was well equipped, with treadmills, cycles, row machine, free weights, benches, workout machines. Decor was a tad dark, or perhaps that's the theme.
Centrally located, many food options available, but didn't get to try them out this trip.
I stayed at the Bristol Hotel in Rzeszów, expecting a luxury experience for the price they charge. Unfortunately, it was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had, and it’s laughable to call this place a 5-star establishment. At best, it’s a mediocre 3-star hotel.
Here’s a summary of the issues we encountered:
• The room we were given had two separate single beds, even though we indicated it was for our 10th anniversary.
• The bathroom smelled strongly of smoke upon arrival, and the smell persisted throughout the night.
• The windows didn’t face the exterior but an interior space of the hotel, something unacceptable in a supposed luxury hotel and not disclosed at booking.
• Basic hygiene standards were lacking: the toilet paper roll was already used and simply folded, instead of being replaced.
• The bathroom had broken tiles in the shower and bathtub.
• Noise levels were unbearable. We didn’t sleep a wink due to loud noise until 3 AM (understandable for New Year’s Eve), but we were woken up at 6 AM by cleaning staff vacuuming outside our room.
• To make matters worse, the curtains were too small to block the light from the interior-facing windows, leaving the room lit throughout the night.
The overall experience was shocking for the price. In Rzeszów, you can find hotels that cost half as much and offer far superior service and facilities. Paying for this hotel is a waste of money—it’s a far cry from a 5-star experience.
Save yourself the disappointment and book elsewhere. This hotel fails to deliver even the basics of hospitality. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
Good hotel, right on the centre square.
The rooms are spacious, the breakfast is quite good, but some hot food alway missing some items, with nice staff, but a couple of details missing to make it great.
Room cleaning is average, staff are in and out ASAP room not totally cleaned, maid took the room key from the power switch while I was in the room, so power went out 20 seconds after she left the room.
No iron or ironing board in the rooms. TV channels are limited.
My personal preference is a cooler room, but even in October with the A/C at full cold and fan full power, the room temp is still 21c, so too warm for my liking.
Wifi is poor, so this adds to the rating. My expectation of a hotel like this is great wifi, allowing all applications to run, as needed, but it’s just not very good at all.
The breakfast buffet was good, and there were enough servers there. However, I did not find the rest of the staff welcoming or helpful.
This hotel has a wonderful location on the square, and I would stay there again if in the area. just do not expect a 5 star experience and you will be fine.
They moved me to a 'suite', with essentially no windows or, rather, it had floor to ceiling windows BUT overlooking the hotel's 'office' area. Essentially it was like sleeping in a public room and with no sunlight nor fresh air.
Still hopeful, I asked for a further change and they moved me to a room essentially without windows - it had 2 holes perhaps 70cm wide and 30 cm high.
The most mind boggling point is that someone gave them 5 stars.
