From the outside this hotel looks normal, nothing fancy. But inside it's amazing. Kind and efficient lady on the check-in counter, beautiful modern interior, spacious (enough) and comfortable room, the bed was everything! Sadly I haven't checked the restaurant this time but I hope to do it next time. One little thing I didn't like so much was the door between rooms. Of course it was closed but door is not a wall and one can hear a lot from your neighbors. Still, an amazing hotel!
The hotel is located opposite the railway station and 5-10 minutes walk to the market square (city center). There are shops and cafes nearby. The hotel and room were quiet, cozy, clean and comfortable. There are no family rooms, so we (3 people) slept on the same bed (a king-size type). The bed is large and we were comfortable, although when registering 3 people the room was equipped for 2 people. Most of all, one more blanket was missing. The room was warm and you could make tea or coffee. Convenient parking for cars, the price is 30 PLN per day. Given the fact that all parking in the city is busy and the price is similar, it is ok. Disadvantages: The hall was too little, narrow and uncomfortable.
Good and bad points vie for supremacy here. It has a lot going for it but some negatives too Some, the hotel has no control over, like the dodgy neighbourhood. Some, the hotel bears responsibility for, like poor service in the restaurant, broken AC and cold showers. The calibre of a hotel is how it deals with problems. With the broken AC at the beginning, they promised to sort it and eventually did. But when I asked about moving if they couldn't fix it, they were evasive. After they did fix it, no offer of compensation for 24 hours of sweltering heat - you can't open the windows, so AC is a must. Freezing cold shower on checkout day elicited same response: very sorry to hear that but here's your full-price bill, with nothing off for your inconvenience. But, on to the review: Very nicely furnished, modern, stylish and luxurious. Friendly, helpful, professional reception staff. We chose a Deluxe Room for a very small supplement to the standard price. For that we got big Smart TV so we could log in to our Netflix account and continue watching shows we watched at home. CNN but No BBC News, unfortunately. Also, dressing gowns and slippers, a Nespresso machine with capsules, minibar filled with one-off soft drinks and some chocolate bars. Walk-in shower very posh, except it ran out of hot water on our third morning. Air conditioning didn't work for the first day and night, which was uncomfortable. The Deluxe rooms don't have a great view, as the new building faces onto the back of the hotel. Frosted glass strip between bathroom and bedroom. Weird. Nobody wants to be watched in the bathroom. I know it's trendy but it's not nice. Hotel location is both good and bad. Very close to the main train and bus stations. However, it is in quite a shabby area, with a few dodgy-looking characters hanging around the pawn shop a few doors along. 10-minute walk to the Old Town. Service in the hotel's Capella restaurant is not great and the prices are about 10% higher than in the much superior Grand Boutique Hotel, right next to the Market Square in the heart of the Old Town. In summary, good and bad. But they could manage the faults so much better if they cared. …
Kind staff and great hotel full of little details. They deserve every prize they get. I enjoyed a Nice Exclusive Superior Room with free drinks and snacks in minibar and complete and smaczny breakfast in a fantastic restaurant with natural light. Great. Completely managed by women and this is perfectly and clearly visible! I do hope to repeat. Dziękuję
Beautiful hotel, tasteful design, good location, good service, excellent price, one of the best breakfasts we ever had. We had two deluxe rooms to which we were upgraded for free, which were really lovely and with very fast wifi, and a regular room which was also very nice, with slower wifi. We paid about €60 per night per room with the amazing breakfast. This makes this one of the best values for money in our many years of extensive travel.
