I stayed in the hotel for 3 nights back in Feb 2020 with my partner. The hotel is right in the city centre, and is a stones through away from the main square and walking street. The hotel staff are friendly and attentive and helped out with any questions that we had, and helped us book a taxi to collect us and drop us off at the airport which is only about 15 mins drive away. The hotel entrance is welcoming and warming and you are taken back by the small touches. The room itself was very private and a good size, with very comfortable beds and quality bedding. My partner was working from home at the time, and the room came with full internet, a desk and a PC chair which was really useful and the internet connection was great. A Japanese toilet system as well and a clear see through shower. The hotel also offered a spa and swimming pool / Gym which was free to use during our stay and really nice in the winter. The pool was warm and the sauna and steam room were always heated and regularly cleaned.

The hotel itself is very nicely situated, close to shops, restaurants and the airport is only a 10 min drive away.

Throughout our stay the staff were amazing. I was particularly impressed with Mateusz, Magda and the reception staff who handled every request with incredible attention to detail and dedication.

The hotel is very reasonably priced and represents VfM. I found the rooms to be clean, tidy and spacious. There was a wide variety of choice available for breakfast, lunch and dinner, all of which were hot, plentiful and tasty.

Some of the facilities such as the gym could be better, however every effort was made to accommodate our needs.

I will definitely be staying again in the future. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I am visiting this hotel for second time in the last few years. Everything there is perfectly arranged from the welcoming on the reception to the farewell on the car parking. Beautiful rooms and good breakfast! And the prices of the accommodation are unbelievably low.
The hotel is perfectly located on the old city center. It is nice to walk around!

The hotel is only 1 km from the railway station, and 2 minutes from the old market square.
I was lucky to get a room with a balcony (There are very few rooms like this) I had a standard room so it was not too big, but big enough.
In the evening the meals at the patio are tasty and well presented. The live piano music is a plus also.
The WiFi was very bad, a weak connection in the room and sometimes not even that. Downstairs, the WiFi was good, but for a 4 star hotel, the connection in the room should be good as well.
Individually adjustable airconditioning, which is great. Only it shouldn't be turned off by the hotel during the night.
Everything is clean and okay, but in a few years the hotel will need to refurbish the whole thing if it wants to stay "grand".
If you don't want the breakfast buffet, the smaller restaurant offers you different breakfast options and a great lunch menu.

Loud music all night from the own basement disco. A concept beyond my understanding. Not much "grand" about that. They even turned the bass up at 1.30am. When opening the window massive ventilation fan noise from outside. Asked for another room, finally got one on 5th floor. Here though one can't turn off the air con - so again noisy rumbling all night. Not worth 4*. Open the window and only noises from ventilation fans on roofs to hear.
Can't recommend sadly, hope I don't have to pay for the beer from the mini bar.

Right in the heart of the city centre, short walking distance from everything, warm and professional welcoming, helpful and caring staff. Elegant and cozy hall that makes you feel at home, hearty and fresh breakfast. Totally and wonderfully soundproofed rooms, clean, big and comfortably furnished. One of my best accommodation, indeed: I'm looking forward to going back there the soonest. A heartfelt THANKS to the kind and friendly people at the concierge! Do zobaczenia wkrótce!

It was a cute boutique hotel located in the center of Rzeszow. The rooms were comfortable and had water and espresso free of charge. The location was ideal. The staff was courteous. There was a nightclub below it, a very nice coffee shop within, and a great restaurant, too.

Our third visit to the Grand Hotel.
Two years ago we booked a Standard Room and loved it.
Last year we booked a Delux room and really enjoyed that larger room also.
This year we booked a Studio for the extra room and a sauna, we were travelling for a wedding and wanted to treat ourselves.
On arrival we were given room 522 - we went to the room to find it the same spec as the Standard we had booked two years ago. I phoned the receptionist to ask whether this really was a Studio? I was told "Yes, this is a Studio room". After checking the hotel's webpage I was certain that we'd been given the wrong room, so again I phoned and this time asked to speak to the manager. I was prevented from speaking with a manager, and eventually the receptionist sent a porter with a selection of other room keys. The first we were shown to (412) was a big bedroom with separate living area, and (you guessed it!) a sauna. So this was a Studio! Though we'd spent time we could have spent with family at the wedding arguing over the room!

So it gets a rating of one Bec cause of either arrogance (accepting a Studio booking but allocating a Standard room) or dishonesty (telling me that room 522 was a studio when obviously it wasn't!).

Treat your guests with respect - however nice the hotel.

And this is a real shame because it's a nice hotel, but a special wedding trip was spoiled, and we are unlikely to return when we next visit Rzeszow to visit with family.

Despite the fact that this hotel is called ‘Grand’ Hotel’ and has a ’4 star’ rating, after staying at this hotel for just 4 nights, I must say this hotel is not as grand as it sounds at all. Here I explained why.

(I have to summarise the full story here as the full story is about 2,300 words, which I have now published to my blogs.)

I made a reservation with this hotel in November 2012. The hotel cancelled my booking ON THE DAY I was due to arrive. They claimed they cancelled my booking because they could not pre-authorise my credit card on the same day's morning that I was arriving. I gave the hotel my credit card number 7 months ago, they didn't take the money or process a pre-authorisation then. A few weeks before I flew to Poland from England, I emailed the hotel to re-confirm my reservation. I received a reply to say my reservation was guaranteed and the payment would only be collected on arrival. So after I was told my booking was cancelled, I was very angry and annoyed. But at the same time the hotel also told me they have arranged me to stay at another hotel, I have no idea who that worked!

The hotel cancelled my booking because they thought I would not turn up, but then they booked me to another hotel. This doesn't sound right to me. In fact, based on the fact that the hotel told me there was no room for me after they cancelled my booking 2 hours before the check-in time, I could only guess the hotel was OVER BOOKED, so they booked me to another hotel. But instead of telling me the truth, they used the pre-authorisation as an excuse to cancel my booking. I have never come across to a dishonest and unreliable hotel like this until now.

As I said I was very angry and annoyed with the cancellation, so I requested to speak to the manager once I arrived at the hotel. Then guess what? I was now told there was a room available for me. So from one minute my booking was cancelled and I had to transfer to another hotel, to the next minute I didn't need to move anymore as there was a room available for me, the whole thing was just a joke to me!

Once I arrived at the hotel, I was given a room with electricity problems. I could never believe I would experience electricity problems in a room at a 4 star hotel. Basically the fuse box kept tripping, so there was no ceiling light, no wall lights and no electricity from any wall sockets. This is totally unacceptable. This room was just like bringing me to a third world country - no electricity.

I reported the problems to the hotel twice. I was told I would be transferred to another room but then later I was not transferring because the hotel decided to get an electrician in to fix the fuse box. How ridiculous is that to have an electrician fixing a fuse box in my room while I was there? In the end, the electrician couldn't fix the problem. I waited an hour before I phoned the reception to CHASE FOR an update of what was going to happen. Then this time I was told I was definitely moving to another room. I wasted half a day of my holiday because of the electricity fault in my room and moving to another room.

The whole experience staying at this hotel was awful. The breakfast that this hotel provided to me was another concern too. I was told breakfast would start to be served from 6.30am. I went to have a breakfast at about 8am on day 2 and 3, most of the food was half empty already. The remaining food did not seem and taste fresh to me at all. I couldn't work out whether most of the food was just eaten by other visitors before I came, or these food was left over from previous day. But one thing I am sure is that the breakfast bar was not busy at all while I was there. Food wasn't visually appealing to be honest. I just couldn't go back for the breakfast again on day 4 and 5.

There was some building work in progress while I was staying at the hotel. I was shocked and surprised to see the hotel was in the middle of a building site. No one from the hotel has warned me about the building work before I came to the hotel. When I was dropped off by a taxi at the hotel's carpark on the first day, I just couldn't believe it was a '4 star' hotel. Staff were not particularly friendly. There was no general greetings (good morning/afternoon/evening) from the staff at all. The hotel is next to busy roads, it’s handy to shops, pubs and restaurants but it got very noisy all day and most of the night. After an unpleasant visit at this hotel, I am 100% sure I will not go back to stay there again in my whole life!

I did contact the travel agent who I booked the room with to express my dissatisfaction. The agent passed my comments to the hotel, the hotel responded with a pile of excuses and non-sense. Grand Hotel Rzeszów doesn’t care and isn't bothered about my unpleasant experience with them. I can understand and imagine the problems happen to a 3 star or lower hotel, but Grand Hotel Rzeszów labels itself is a ’4 star’ rating hotel, shouldn't it provide a professional 4 star service to its customers? It is really a great disappointment to see a ’4 star’ hotel acts and behaves like a cheap hotel. I would definitely not recommend this hotel to anyone, this is why I feel I should name and shame this hotel publicly, so other visitors can avoid getting the same awful experience as mine on their holiday!

Grand Hotel Rzeszów, shame on you!

In this case receptionist was not able to make a transaction when it was needed – inactive credit card. Grand Hotel Rzeszow is a four star hotel and we did everything to sort out the problem.

Answer from Silap Inua

Taxi should cost no more than €15-€20 max. We took the bus from outside the airport to the city center bus terminal for just a few cents (zloti) - make sure you get some small denomination, somewhere either at airport exchanges which offer lower rates or before travelling). Driver will accept cash tru slot in his cab once your board. Validate ticket! If you take bus you will find very welcoming and helpful passengers willing to offer advise. Taxi is fast, simple, comfortable but arriving in a city in the company of local people is a very special experience.

Hi! THe spa was very nice but we were only using the pool and sauna. Our double room was very nice and was only £40 a night in the high season. Breakfast was extra, about £6, but really really good. Somebody was there to cook your eggs to your specification. They all spoke excellent English so I suggest that you write to them for pricing. Lots of other restaurants nearby because the hotel is very central. The pool had an ingenious ceiling that made the experience seem much larger than it was. Taxi to the airport took no time at all. I really think you will like it. There was one curiosity - the room had an electronic toilet bowl that would give your bits sprays and washes at any chosen temperature. We weren't brave enough to try it!
