I had a comfortable stay in the hotel which is very close to train station about the 5 minutes walk and the same to the city center. My room was big enough with the comfy bed, flat-screen TV, fridge and coffee-tea facilities. You can fill the water carafe with fresh water in dispenser on the corridor. The bathroom was big, with big shower and free toiletries. I only hated that the AC and heating control panel which glared exessively anoyed me when trying falling asleep. Great location not far from the rail station. New hotel. Rooms very well appointed, staff was nice, breakfast was great. Dinner was great, service is a little slow and the reason I had to downgrade to 4 stars. Had to ask repeatedly for items and service. Next time we are in Opole will stay here.

We stayed in DeSilva Opole for two nights as part of a trip around Poland, and were upgraded to a large studio apartment with a river view. There is parking onsite; undercover garage was 45zl/day and across the road was 35zl/day which we did think was slightly expensive especially in comparison to Wroclaw hotel parking. The location was good, with a short five minute walk to the main square. The was a large L shape and furnished in a modern design which included a sofa, chairs, coffee table, desk, a bathroom with WC and shower, a second separate WC, and king sized bed with bedside tables. This was also the only room in the six hotels we stayed in in Poland that had a fridge within the room, which was appreciated. There was a large visible bump in the carpet where the carpet has not been cut or fitted correctly to the room, which is strange. The WiFi was excellent and the aircon worked well. The bed was comfortable and we slept well as there was no audible noise from the street. The breakfast offering was very reasonable, but on the first morning there were no cereal bowls available.

Room was like a broom cupboard. Very noisy until 0215 on both nights.
Breakfast choice very basic
The only good thing about the hotel is the location.

Very comfortable modern hotel. Spoke really good English and gave a excellent service with professional staff. I particularly enjoyed the fresh and healthy food. in the centre of Opole so a short walk to explore the city. I donāt eat meat and found good options on the menu

I arrived very late in the evening, when I arrived it turned out there are no parking places left. I was informed I could park at Mercure which was like 10 minutes walk from the hotel. The receptionist could not however explain to me how to get to Mercure. I had a lot of baggage, as I was going for a formal meeting the next day and I had to carry it all to Mercure the next day. There was some parking space but it was taken but hotel's staff cars [!], which means the guests did not have parking places because the personnel needed to park their cars somewhere. I asked the personnel to drive my car to another hotel, this was refused. the personnel at the reception was not helpful. The breakfast was average.

Opole itself is a smaller town so I don't think that it attracts too many foreign visitors but the old town is very nice and because it is located on the Oder river where there are a number of islands it is known as the Venice of Poland. In locations like this hotel choices can be a bit hit and miss but the Hotel DeSilva was a very good choice. It is well located very close to the centre of the town, right on a "canal" with a bike path that follows the river for approximately 4km. My room was a generous size and the bathroom was also a good size. The hotel has a nice restaurant & bar and breakfast provided a wide range of options. Most of the staff are quite young, all speak very good English and they are very friendly, polite and helpful. My reason for coming to Opole was business and I suspect that if I ever return it would again be for business but I would certainly stay at The Hotel DeSilva again.

This hotel is completely new ! This is my second times in this one and if I have to go again in Opole. He will be my first choice!!! Nice people, speaking English ! Good restaurant and bar !!! This parking in basement is a real plus!

That's a good hotel. Deserves fully its stars. Firstly - fantastic location, in the city center. Secondly - good quality: clean, comfortable rooms, Friendly and helpful staff, interesting and surprisingly tasty food at the restaurant (try strudel!)

Brand new hotel in a great location, in front of the canal and 5 minutes walking from city center and train station. Nice and modern, our apartment room was beautiful and staff very friendly. It also features a good restaurant.
