This Hostel is terrible rooms are dirty and in much need of renovation. Beds are riddled with bed bugs sheets dirty and stained. Not curtains or blinds to windows, holes in walls and stains on walls. No furnature in room only a bed so no where to put your clothes, no heating in room or hot water for 3 of our days there. Breakfast consisted of bread and jam or cereal and on our last day there was no bread or milk left. My advice would be avoid this hostel at all costs, in fact you would do better getting arrested and staying in prison as you would have at least a warm meal, heating and hot water. The pictures on booking.com do NOT represent reality.

The hostel is located in the very centre of the Old Town, on the market square, with a nice view of the Cloth Market, St Adalbert's church etc. So it's very good. The downside to it is the noise at night, which is bigger than during the day actually. The noise is augmented by the fact that, during heat, there's no other way to cool the room but to open the window to let the air flow freely. This has the unwelcome consequence of letting the insects in. I was, and still am, completely covered with itching bites and my scratches. I do not mean 5, but rather 25 of them. So it's annoying. I assume these were mosquitos, although I haven't seen them. I've seen some other kind of insect twice, but I'll give a benefict of a doubt and will assume it was a small beetle of something that made it through the window, because it was relatively dark and it disappeared quickly. The hostel is clean I guess, but the bed covers were old and torn in some places. I didn't receive a cover for the pillow as well. The price is very good, especially for the central location. The staff is reasonably nice (usually), speaks good English etc. There's no elevator, so be ready for that. You can buy some drink or chips at the reception, which is a good thing. Oh, there's not enough locker cages in the rooms. There should be 2 under each bed. There were not. I asked for one, and, after commenting I could get one from under another bed (then I'd have to check under someone resting there half-naked and I felt a bit uncomfortable doing that), I was given one. But the one I was given was broken, and you could get everything from outside, so it defeated the purpose... I got another one eventually, though. If you get in, you will be asked to chose a bed etc. But remember to leave something on it, apart from the bedsheets you'll be given. When I returned to the hostel, "my" bed was taken by someone, and the sheets moved on the bed up. I prefer getting a fixed number etc.

This hostel was in everyway horrible. The stairs were old and leaning. The room was like an asylum and there was cracks on the wall. The beds were low and not comfy. Some rooms did not have a lock because it was broken. The room was dirty, the toilet was dirty and alot of things were broken. The location was great and the windows were nice. Otherwise was everything quite nasty and I would not recommend this place :(

Ok, almost everything was dirty and/or broken, but this place is not just bad, it's seriously dangerous because: 1) There were no locked doors between the street and the bathrooms or the kitchen. ONE NIGHT A RANDOM DRUNK OR HIGH MAN JUST ENTERED THE HOSTEL, while the receptionist was probably drunk. THE POLICE INTERVENED TO ARREST HIM. Inside the hostel. With underaged girls in the shared bathroom and people having dinner in the kitchen. 2) Nobody checks IDs or other documents before giving keys etc 3) A member of the staff, while drunk, made "indecent proposals" to several girls, included some UNDERAGED ones. 4) The STAFF was often DRUNK. DANGEROUS.

Considering the great location, reasonable price and hospitable staff, this is the right place to stay in Kraków . Problems include weak internet connection in some parts of the hostel and a bit unclean beds.

My girlfriend and I decided to try a hostel for the first time and we quickly found out it was not for us! With that being said, we didn't even stay a night. I booked for three nights and I sadly had to pay for all three nights even though I didn't pay for it which was slightly upsetting. However, I think the rooms were nicely sized and the location literally could not have been better. They offer breakfast and tons of information. I mainly want to highlight Paulina and Rafae as they were TOP NOTCH workers! Excellent customer service and made us feel at home. Hostel Rynek 7 should be very proud to have these workers on their team!

I don't think that there is a better location in Krakow to stay, and prices were very reasonable. Staff were exceptionally lovely, helpful and approachable. Hostel was very clean and not noisy inside. However, some things to note - there is no elevator so this is not an option for people with accessibility challenges, stairs are steep in places and at night the lighting works off sensors which is great from a energy efficiency perspective but you may have to go half way up the stairs before the sensor will pick up the movement. Our bathroom didn't have any hand soap in the dispenser [we had our own so it was ok], I think they may be redecorating in stages, our room was on the top floor and it badly needed to be repainted. Our biggest problem with our room was that there were no blinds or curtains on the window so we were up at sunrise whether we wanted to be or not and on one morning when we were getting changed a drone was being flown in the square and was outside our window for a few moments - we had to do a dive under the duvets :) so it would have been very nice to have a blind or a curtain.

We arrived early, before our room was ready, Michael working the front desk, let us use the facilities and the kitchen before we checked in. We went on our tour, came back and our room was ready. Check-in was a breeze. Again, Michael was fantastic. Very informative, kind, and enjoyed being a host. I booked a 3 bed room for my 16yo daughter and I, and it was fantastic. The view was amazing, the beds, even better than the view. Most comfortable of the whole vacation. Noise was not an issue for us. Yes, the following morning at breakfast, most of the food was gone, we spoke to the receptionist about it, and they put out more food. No problem. Be aware, there is no lift, and the private rooms are on the 3rd floor, it is a bit of a hike up, but the view was great. My biggest complaint was the receptionist working the afternoon we left. We checked out and left our bags to spend the day touring. When we returned, she never once spoke to us and we re-packed our bags on the front sofa. She went off to smoke in the hallway, now mind you, there are no-smoking signs posted all over the place, I guess that does not hold true for the employees. She was in the main hallway, but the cigarette smoke smell was awful, and coming into the main sitting area. Location cannot be beat. In the heart of the everything. Price was great, Michael was great, bed was great.

Location: in the middle of the main square, it literally couldn't have been better Facilities: very big dorms, everything was clean, nice kitchen and breakfast, wifi didn't work which was the only down side Staff: super nice and helpful, we got directions there, they let us check in late and leave our bags at the hostel after checking out. Especially Michael was very helpful, giving us directions and recommendations for restaurants etc. :)
