For a cheap hostel it is good value for money, and the location is perfect as it is right on the main square, there was free breakfast and the beds were clean. There are also opportunity to book trips round krakow. However in the height of summer, two small household fans was just not adequate to cool an 18 bed dormitry! Additionally the bathrooms are not exceptionally clean and the hostel has a lack of opportunities to socialise. In terms of sleep it is very noisy so bring earplugs. Overall a basic hostel with a good price, some small improvements like AC and more social areas would have made this a great place to stay!! There was also a lack of charging facilities for mobile phones!

My friend and I stayed at Cracow Hostel in December 2018 between Christmas and New Years. Such a perfect location next to the main market square, and at this time of year there are still Christmas markets in operation just next door! Amazing choices for food nearby! The rooms are lovely, just a bit of a walk up the stairs with heavy bags (on us though we could have packed lighter!!) The free breakfast is lovely and fresh. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others staying in the area.

I've booked this hostel because of the great location and the good reviews . but I got very disappointed . I have stayed in many hostels over the years , and I can tell you that what makes a good hostel is its abilities to bring solo travellers together . I arrive alone, you leave with many friends . Well : I have stayed for 4 nights at Cracow Hostel and never felt so lonely . may be I just got unlucky . But the main communal areas were empty almost all the time . barely anyone for breakfast either (to be honnest it's not very good, so maybe people went out ). I booked day tours through the hostel reception hoping to meet some nice people. bad luck again: I ended with a bench of Italian Families. no good atmosphere . breakfast very basic (cereals , eggs, industrial chimic orang juice, tea and coffee) . did I sleep well at least ?? ABSOLUTELY NOT !! Worst place to sleep . At first I got impressed with the view because I could see the main square from my window . but it turned out to be very noice , until very late at night. The square has a lot of street artists , musicians and restaurants ....so you can imagine what you can hear from your dorm behind simple glass window . Oh and wait : no aircon' so we had to sleep with the Windows open because it was way to hot Inside ...it was like trying to sleep in the street ... even with earpluggs I couldn't rest. I'm giving the place a mark of 2 out of 5 because it was clean at least . and the location right in the middle of the city center was convenient . To sum up : if you are a solo traveller : you can find a better place to meet people . and if you want to rest , no don't even think of staying there.

We booked extremely last minute and the two ladies were extremely accommodating - being very helpful, offering us a free upgrade and being genuinely welcoming towards us. The shared dorm was clean and safe, staff were always friendly and the hostel is in the perfect location, in the middle of Krakow square! Thankyou so much - 100% recommend to stay here!

The location of this hostel is outrageously good, the reception overlooks the main square which is beautiful day and night. One night I sat in the window and watched the world go by for about half an hour! Rooms are pretty basic - no bedside lights or any obvious place to hang towels, cheap mattresses and duvets, AC or a fan would have been nice in the summer heat too. The room lockers are quite small (and I'm not sure that they're very secure) so I couldn't fit my travelling rucksack in, but there was enough space for my valuables and a safe by the reception if you're worried. However, the showers are amazing which was important for us as it was ridiculously hot when we there. All in all a very good stay.

We're staying two nights in an 18 bed dorm (although it's only half full) and have found the hostel very pleasant so far. Although we arrived 5 hours before check in the helpful staff allowed us to leave our luggage with them and use the showers before exploring the city. The room is comfortable and spacious although it is incredibly hot at this time of year! Wifi access and breakfast are included. Sadly the washing machine is broken at the moment but the receptionist gave us good directions to a laundrettes in the Old Town. Despite being right on top of the Market Square it's not noisy at night at all. For simple backpackers looking for a bargin this is a great choice.

This hostel is in a great location on the Main Square. It can be a little hard to find, only because it is located above a restaurant (Max 18). So, you go in the doors of the restaurant and head upstairs - there is a gate that you use to press for entry up to the hostel. It's quite basic accommodation, but it is great nonetheless. I was in an 18-bed mixed room. There is a kitchen area further upstairs (1 floor up from my room). My room was located on the floor where reception is. There is also a space to sit and relax in the reception area. Because I was visiting in January, it was very quiet when I was there. There were only 4 other people in my room. I found the facilities excellent - there are cupboards with keys to lock away your possessions, and there are 2 shower rooms available for use on the floor I was on. These were clean and well maintained. The staff were very helpful, the location is brilliant being in the main square, near top attractions, and easy to get to (approx. 15 min walk from the main train station). I would definitely stay here again!

The hostel is in an excellent location, right in the Main Square of the city. It's perfect for young people, you can find whatever you need: free wifi, bed sheets, at small costs. The kitchen has everything for cooking, breakfast is tasty and rich, the toilets are clean and warm. The staff is there 24/7 and is kind and friendly. If you are visiting Krakow, stay there. No regrets!

Extremely basic hostel. The pictures look better than reality. The beds didn't have their own powerpoint, and there was only one light in the entire dorm, which i think consisted of about 16 beds, so if someone arrived late from partying and turned on the light we all got woken up. Not ideal at all. The location is super central right on the old town square, however also extremely touristy. Surrounding restaurants were expensive, and mostly seemed to be Italian food which i thought was odd. It was a cheap hostel, therefore I guess you get what you pay for.
