The sky bar is lovely, great view and food was ok but the young waitress was positively unfriendly. Such a shock after we had found krakow people and service so friendly. She was rude, dismissive and sullen. Not just to us. She was like that to others too. Sadly totally spoiled the experience.

Positives: friendly staff, superb location and the best view, we tried the Starry Hotel and Skyline Bar which was not as good. Hotel made us a packed breakfast as we had an early start one morning. Breakfast buffet was great. Good choice of fresh food. Negatives: we had room 504 which has a view of a wall but aside from this, it was very hot and window only opened a few inches. Air con did not work except to blow out dust. Pillows lumpy. Small twin beds with old mattress and duvets. Was too hot. Could hear staff cleaning the restaurant above. Such a shame as the hotel is in such a good location but the furnishings need re newing and if you travel in the summer it's likely to be stifling. No fans available.

The Hotel's location is perfect for seeing the old town within the city.. Right next to the Castle Wawel and over looking the river. Staff at the hotel all very friendly. (Bartosz) on reception was super helpful and a real oracle of information. The Hotel's roof terrace bar gives super view both day and night. On a sunny day it can be busy as open to non residents as well, but grab a seat and the experience will not disappoint. Our room was nice and large a really comfy bed the only thing lacking was a safe just to keep passports and money safe whilst out and about. Cleaned daily what more do you need😁

Hotel is about a 10-15 min walk up to the the main square it’s in a lovely location on the river next to the castle and like the previous review says we were in a room at the back of the hotel and the bells do go off every 15 mins from 5 or 6 am. I can’t remember now , didn’t bother us too much as I don’t sleep well when I’m away anyway. Our room 404 had no view but we aren’t there to sit and look out of the window, (when there is a beautiful city to explore) we are only in the room night time to sleep so no problem.Room was big , comfy beds and clean. Breakfast was good set us up for the day. Roof top restaurant/bar was lovely great views. But the best part of the hotel is the staff they are so friendly and helpful they are amazing. Thank you to you all.

Great location but beware the rooms at the back . These were standard rooms on 5th floor directly opposite the bell tower of the palace . It chimed every hour , so we had very disturbed sleep. ( there is also another bell toll every 15 mins ) The beds also were awful, rock hard , worst hotel beds we have ever slept in . Pillows awful , lumpy too . Hotel itself is nice, breakfast was good , terrace bar lovely … but be careful what rooms you pick, those at the front would be better. We wouldn’t stay again .

I cannot praise the staff at this hotel enough! I broke my leg at Krakow airport as we arrived and the hospital left me high and dry with leg in a cast but no wheelchair, crutches, pain relief etc. When we got to Pod Wawlem, the staff were wonderful in helping my husband and I. There was not a room with disabled facilities available but nothing was too much trouble for the staff. They hired me a wheelchair, arranged for a doctor to come out to give me pain relief and a, much needed, fit to fly certificate so I could get home. I must commen Bartosz on reception for always keeping our spirits up with his banter. All of the staff were exceptional. The hotel is in a perfect location, food was great, beds comfy and rooms very clean. We will definitely return

Great location, right next to the castle and over the road from the Vistula river where boat excursions are available. Breakfast was very good, plenty of hot and cold choice, fruit, yogurt, pastries and cold meats and various cheeses, excellent coffee, hot water for various selection of teas. The breakfast items are frequently topped up by the very helpful staff. The rooms are very clean, have tilt and turn windows, blackout curtains, mini fridge and are cleaned on a daily basis. We did find it a little odd that there was no in room safe. The bathroom has a nice shower- pretty powerful and a shaving point and hairdryer. The reception staff speak many languages including excellent English. Bart is a real asset to this hotel as his knowledge of the local area and Krakow is extremely helpful and he has a real enthusiasm for his job and goes out of his way to welcome guests. The Sky Bar and restaurant upstairs is a brilliant place to have a chill out drink after a day of sightseeing and the food is also excellent, so are the staff and the prices are very reasonable for a hotel. You’ll also be given a voucher for a free glass of Prosecco on arrival to be used in the Sky Bar. Would highly recommend this hotel for its location, staff, value for money and the added bonus of a lovely Sky Bar.
