The exquisite Hotel Gródek is located in the very heart of Krakow, yet it is nested away from the city bustle in a quiet street close to Main Market Square. Surrounded with a truly historical atmosphere, you can enjoy the individually arranged rooms, fantastic food and impeccable service. On top of that, the Hotel can also host conferences, offering elegant interiors with all the necessary equipment.
This hotel came recommended by a friend and it didn’t disappoint! Small and quaint, clean and comfortable and the staff were so helpful! The hotel itself is tucked away and quiet yet only a 5 minute walk to the main square. The staff happily booked our airport transfers and a trip to Auschwitz arranged by email before our arrival. Lovely breakfast they even made us a nice pack up to take to the airport on the last morning as we were too early for breakfast. The rooms are fairly small but have everything you need and are comfortable with traditional furnishings. Great value for money! We will definitely be back!
This was my first trip to Poland and I found this gem online, they have 2 other hotels in Krakow as well. This is located just inside the walls and is a great location to experience the city- all walking distance! Our room , 201, was the Presidential suite to accommodate the 3 of us. Soooo charming, it felt like we were home truly. The staff was amazing and helpful with reservations both with private transportation to Auschwitz and restaurants. The Christmas market was beautiful and the whole town decorated for the season. Don't miss the mulled wine! The breakfast in the lower level was equally charming and the best food we had during our 2 week Eastern Europe trip. Further, our overnight train didn't leave until almost midnight and they allowed us to store our luggage in a room . So, a big Thank you for a wonderful stay. We highly recommend this beautiful old world hotel! Margaret , Marie and Mary

We have stayed at and eaten at this hotel on numerous occasions when too many guests are with us at our small apartment over the road...
...always we have a good time and this was no exception. The hotel is modestly but very comfortably appointed, well run and exceptionally welcoming.
Our room was spacious and beautiful and very private despite having large feature windows.
In the evening and in spite of the closure of the restaurant owing to the pandemonium, the chef came in specially to do canapés for us before our dinner at home.
Everything was excellent and a big thank you goes to everyone!

we spent three nights in Krakow (probably not quite enough) and we stayed at the Grodek. This really was the perfect place for us. The location was close to everything we needed...easy walk to the square and to restaurants. An easy walk to pick up points for tours as well. The staff was exceedingly helpful and friendly. They were patient with our many questions about how to get places. The room was comfortable, sadly, it seems that we weren't in it enough. And breakfast was absolutely amazing. We were very happy with this hotel.

great hotel, located close to the old town square, on a side street which was quiet with no through traffic, adjacent the convent. Our room was on the first floor, lovely room. Staff in the hotel were friendly, helpful and very pleasant, arranged our trips to Auschwitz and the salt mines, Food in the restaurant was excellent, breakfast was good. we would highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is relatively small, genuinely Polish and very well located. The room we had was quiet, very comfortable and well equipped and the service was excellent. We would certainly recommend it to anyone visiting Krakow.

Although the hotel is only a few blocks from the center of Old Town, it is very quiet. It also is right next to the Planty and provides easy access to the tram. The facility overall is in great shape and very clean. Our room was large with high ceilings. The bed was fine as was breakfast. The staff - like everyone we met in Poland - is extremely friendly and helpful. Generally, we cannot recommend the hotel enough. We definitely will stay here again if we return to Krakow.

We stayed here in Sept of 2019 for 5 nights and nothing but fond memories. The room was immaculate, the hotel was very beautiful, and the staff was out of this world helpful and accommodating. You are very close to the Market Square (Cloth Hall) and within walking distance to most everything (Wawel Castle, Planty, etc).

We had a wonderful stay in this charming hotel, small but beautifully decorated room with everything that you needed. Lovely helpful staff who all spoke very good English. The breakfast was nice but not amazing. Clean towels and linen every day. I think the only thing that disappointed us was the fact it was very warm which meant we needed to have our windows open at night as there was no air conditioning and our room was at the front of the hotel. The noise outside was quite loud, bottles being emptied at 2am in a bin awoken by crashing of bottles! Also lots of people outside talking quite late at night. Fortunately I had ear plugs. Otherwise lovely and we would go back.

We were disappointed when we arrived as the Hotel is very dark and some of the carpets have seen better days. The view from the room was terrible (see photo) and the air conditioning was not working correctly, and when mentioned to reception we were told it was an "on-going issue." The bathroom was fine but many of the tiles were chipped....and the Toilets next to the restaurant were not clean and I don't think the floor had ever been washed. Having said that, the staff could not have been more pleasant and helpful and the position of the Hotel is just perfect for walking around the Old City. It is good value for money but definitely NOT 5 star.

This is a very friendly hotel in a perfect location for exploring the old town and the nearby Kazimierz. The reception staff were helpful with booking taxis and restaurants. There is a lovely library bar lined with books and wood panelling. It's a great place for an evening beer before exploring night time Krakow. Breakfast is quite a spread - limited hot food, but a great choice of cold platters. We had quite a small room at the back of the hotel. It was very quiet. The staff could not have been more helpful.

Everything about the hotel was excellent: service, breakfast, unique antique furnishings in each room, quiet but convenient location. Highly recommended! The hotel's restaurant is excellent, but, oddly, nobody seems to eat there, except at breakfast. We had the restaurant to ourselves one night for dinner, enjoying authentic Polish food. Hotel guests must assume that the dozens of restaurants on the main square must be better, but the hotel restaurant was excellent.

Simply perfect. Outstanding location in Old Town, but also just removed enough (maybe 400m) from the mayhem at 2am. The staff was awesome- each more friendly and accommodating than the one before. The room was spacious for a single traveler room and the bed super comfortable. Can’t recommend it enough.
