Detailed Reviews
Went for a 3-day trip to Krakow with two friends in May. We stayed at Rainbow Apartments in The Jewish town of Kazimierz. Very central location, close to all main attractions. About 15 min walk to the main square. We received a VIP pick-up at the airport by the owners who also offered different sightseeing tours. The apartment held great standard and were very spacious.
Very greatful for the high level of service we received during our stay. Recommended!

Rooms were lovely with a full fitted kitchen and bathroom. Great location, 15/20 minute walk from the old town but the apartment was also right next to lots of restaurants and a supermarket. Only issue was the lack of air con, there was a fan, but it did get too hot at nighttime.

Bad experience.
The apartment is quite dirty. Beds with hair and trash clinging to the sheets. Reservation made through booking, they charged twice the reservation amount, despite communicating several times to the owner and Booking, nothing was done.

We arrived to the apartment late at night one hour ago and we realized that the sheets were not clean. I called the owner, a person called Mariusz, and he only said that Everything was ok and that there was not any problem. We feel cheated by this guy. Take care and avoid Rainbow Apartments in Krakow. Take into account that we are travelling with children. It is frustrating how the service is in this place

Very modern apartments. The entrance and stair well were typical for Europe and well aged. No elevator but stairs were wide and well maintained.
Apartment was bright, well laid out and very modern. Two spacious bathrooms and a modern kitchen are complete with a washing machine. The layout was great but there was no area for family dining so we moved small tables together in larger room.
Close to shops and restaurants.
Tram station just outside the door, quick service to city center and train station.

Again, this apartment is indeed situated in a central position, also the facility is clean and apartment is roomy, but you have to handle a lot of things by yourself. 1. the staff basically dont answer any of your emails, even when i request for an invoice. they always tell you they got a lot of emails so they cannot answer, but this doesnt seem as an sufficient excuse for me since other hotels answer their emails too. And also, the apartments dont have reception and there is no one who can help you with errands (print, direction, recommendations etc). and The guy who gives you the key is rude as hell and doesnt take much time for us. Again, the room is ok, but if you want to have a pleasant stay in Kracow, there are a lot of other hotels with the same price

The guy who welcomed us to the apartament was pretty rude. He was in a rush to go I don't know where and pressed us to buy tickets for the mines. He also cheted us telling that the ONLY option to go the mines and have an spanish audio was to rent a private car to go from the apartment to the mines, which WAS NOT TRUE at all, as you can go by bus, share a van with other visitors or even take a taxi, all much more cheaper than the option he gave us. As if that were not enough, the cleaning lady was still there when we arrived an for one more hour, but the bathroom was not clean and there were hairs in the bathroom, disgusting.
Moreover, the apartment does not has a dinning room, so you have this huge kitchen to cook but don't have a place to take a seat. I would not recommend going there at all.

We booked this apartment through Hotel.com, who have refused to publish my review of the hotel - that's why all their reviews look fairly good!!
The simple fact is that the hotel contacted us before the booking to say they didn't have the one bedroom apartment we'd booked and instead offered a studio - which we grudgingly accepted. Then when we arrived and contacted them they said that they had cancelled the booking and would help no further. We had to quickly find an alternative and used AirBNB to find an apartment in the Jewish Quarter.
The Location of Rainbow 5 is a long way from the Old Town, so we were lucky to have avoided it altogether.
We travelled to Krakow via overnight train from Prague - an interesting experience which added a bit of adventure to the holiday. Krakow is a great city. The main places we went were to Auschwitz and the Salt Mines. We went on a guided tour for Auschwitz which was very informative. The Salt Mines were easy to get to from the Main Railway Station, and then there are big signs directing you to the mine entrance.

Booked this room and turned up as agreed, only to be told by the owner he didn't have a room and wasn't going to give us one. Then hung up on us, effectively leaving us in the street (it was raining and dark), with no where to go.
All other accommodation was booked, and the owner just couldn't care less.
Book here at your peril.

The worst experience i have ever had with a hotel.
I travelled to Poland with my pregnant wife (7 months) for my brothers wedding on Saturday 19th August.
We flew over Friday evening and i specifically booked a hotel in the centre of Kazimierz so we were in walking distance of the celebration.
On arrival we discovered that we were not staying in the advertised location, but a 40minute walk away in a random apartment within a block of residential flats.
Attached is our booking confirmation stating we were staying in rainbow apartments 1 and a map location.
Both rainbow apartments and hotels.com have refused to take any responsibility or refund any money.
We did not arrive until 11pm and so could not find a new hotel that night. I could not sleep and was able to find a lovely new hotel with a 24hr reception that were so helpful and allowed us to check in early so we could get ready for the wedding.
I did not want to have to use their shower. There was toilet roll stick to the taps and s boiler in the shower. The whole place was dirty. I tried sleeping on a plastic beanbag, as i wanted to avoid being bitten by the fleas.
I believe they may have changed the descriptions now to identify rainbow apartments 7 as separate to rainbow apartments 1. My recommendation would be avoid this company at all costs. He got quite aggressive over the phone when i tried to talk to him aboiut the situation.
We stayed in the apartment for about 8 hours and it was way too long.
