As hostels go, this was a good, clean, well organised place and we felt safe. We booked a twin room with private bathroom. The shower was ok, bathroom clean. Comfy beds, small hand towl each. The only reason i gave 4 stars and not 5 is because when we arrived, our room had a very bad smell iof sewerage. We had to leave the bathroom fan on all the time. We couldn't leave the window open as it was too cold. The kitchen was always very busy, and we were there out of high season. We only used it to make a few hot drinks but it looked clean. The fridges were full of peoples food, not sure there would have been any room for ours if we had wanted to use it. Would stay here again.
We booked for 5 days/4 nights. Easy to locate coming from the airport as described at their website. Centrally located,at the border of the Jewish neighbourhood Kazimierz. Just a 15 min walk to Old Town, Stare Miasto. Staff veel friendly and helpfull with booking activities. It was also quiet after 22h. Due to Covid we missed being at the bar or a NYE party.
I had the booking till January 6th ( the check out time in this hostel is 10 am). So, normally I left my bed with a hand towel on it, closed the storage shelf and went exploring the city. I came back at 3 a.m. and found a guy lying on my place and having a deep sleep. I went down to the reception to solve the problem, 'cause normally I didn't use this booking night and had no chance to sleep at least 2 hours before the early flight. The lady there told me that it's a normal practice that people sometimes didn't know where to lay and choose the «cleanest one». I asked for the refound and they refused to give me my money back for this night. But I didn't use this night and they even didn't bother to somehow smooth the situation. Awful place, I will not recommend you to visit it
Nice hostel with multi floor of rooms. Reception is helpful and courteous with info and tour bookings. They have kitchen with lounge and bar to enjoy. Bathroom shower are clean enough and does the job. Hostel rooms itself is nice enough, beds are squeaky with every move you make, and climbing can move the whole bed. The creaky wood floors are creaky enough to vibrant every step you take. Add a little history to each step in old “historic” building. FYI. No elevator is available so be prepared to take few steps and with luggage. WiFi is good enough on 3rd floor. Occasionally would drop but reconnect again. overall a good stay, Karina receptionist and other ladies and gentlemen will be here to welcome you at Atlantis Hostel.
I stayed at Atlantis Hostel in June for 3 nights and had a great stay. Some of the rooms have been newly updated and are all very clean. Only downfalls are the rooms are quite loud as the train passes by on a regular basis and there is no air conditioning so in summer I can imagine it will get quite hot. The hostel is also currently under renovation so there is also a little noise from that.
Great place, great location and great staff. The location is just in between touristy must see old town and hip, preferred by locals Jewish quarter Kazimierz. The only thing are the beds that are a bit old, they are still very comfortable but they make noise, in my room we were just 2 and then in the middle of the night 2 more guys came so it wasn't really an issue, but if the room is full I can imagine that it might be a bit problematic, as when I came I tried 2-3 beds and all of them were noisy. Nevertheless, still recommendable big time!
First off we found this to be a great option with a decent location that suited our fairly large group. We booked several rooms and although basic they were adequate for showering and sleeping. This was keenly priced and meant we could spend our funds elsewhere which was a consideration. We had a couple of the rooms on a high floor which was a fair old hike after a heavy night out and getting back at 7am in the morning, They were a little light on the required and supplied towels which they said they would sort and did the morning after. The hostel had a system of leaving the key with reception so whoever came back first could gain access - this was perfect. The bar was small but adequate, there were a number of times when there seemed to be no staff which meant regaining entry to the hostel could be a little time consuming. There was some in our group who were not keen on a hostel but I suspect after staying here they would happily consider one in the future which should say all you need to know.…
We were a group of 28-33 year olds on a reasonably civilised stag do and this accommodation was perfect. Booked the big 8 bed rooms with bathroom and did the job perfectly. Easy taxi ride from airport and 10 min walk to main square.
The location of the hostel is great. It is situated right between old town(10 minutes to the main square) and the former jewish quarter(5 minutes). The bed was comfy and the room was spacious. The bathroom wasn't "ensuite" though as it was situated outside of the room. It had a separate key and was private for that room. The hostel bar was pretty much empty. Not a very socializing atmosphere. All in all had a good stay and would visit again.
Recently spent 4 nights at the hostel as a large group of friends, everything was excellent. When we first arrived in the lobby we were worried it may be a bit run down but the rooms are on an upstairs corridor which is clean and tidy. We stayed in a private 10 bed room, the room was clean and warm, the washing facilities were clean and also of a good standard. The hostel was very helpful, check-in was straightforward, they have a computer you can use, will lend you towels at no extra cost and had free wifi. They also have secure luggage storage you can use after checking out as well as a bar. They will also help book tours for popular places in Krakow and have a 10 pln breakfast deal. It is also well situated, just a 10-15 minute walk form the main square All in all 10/10 can't think of any way it could be better, it suited our purposes perfectly.…
