The rooms look nothing like the pictures and the place is filthy! The staff are very strange and I didn't feel safe. I'm sure someone was even in our room at one point!! Nothing was cleaned or replaced whilst we were there and they tried to charge our credit card for 'breaking a glass' when we didn't?? So strange.

Long story made short. This place is run by Ukranian mafia who try to bully and intimidate women into paying money for nothing. If I could give a small but of advice. Do not stay here. Full of shady characters and strange behaviours. I left to find another hotel at my own cost. Very poor.

Firstly check in was weird, the behaviour of the staff was strange but we let it go as they told us we were the first guests since lockdown. The rooms were okay but you could get a whole lot more for your money elsewhere and closer to the square. In general the staff seemed helpful and friendly, until on our last day they said to on of us they would like a meeting at a certain time. This ruined our day out as we were constantly picking our brains about what on earth they needed to talk to us about. Anyway, the majority of the group had a flight at 4am so left their keys at reception. Long story short, the two of us that were left and checked out a little later were questioned as to whether we moved some glasses/broke a glass in the room. Of course we had not, I remember there only being 2 glasses between 4 of us because we had to share. And when our mugs were replaced only 3 were left not 4. (this strange questioning has been mentioned before on another review and charged them £1000!) Anyway, they once again said the manager wanted a meeting, so after waiting 10 mins and getting us to write down our names eventually said the manager didn't need to speak to us. When we got to the airport our bank had messaged to say they had taken a payment of over £1,200!! Theres so much more to this story including their shifty behaviour on the last days. Their weird requests and messing us around about meetings. After we rang them to ask what they were playing at, the manager wasn't around or we just got hung up on. DISGUSTING DONT STAY HERE. I can't believe it, nothing like this has ever happened to any of us.

I recently stayed here for three nights. The rooms were comfortable and spotless and the staff very friendly. The breakfast was also good. It’s in a great location with everything within walking distance.

Having read the reviews I was a bit worried about the standard of the hotel. However I was pleasantly surprised. It's well placed, just across the road from the Jewish Quarter and only a brisk 10 minute walk along one road to the main square in the old town. Our room was small but adequate, very comfy beds, clean towels when requested, mini fridge, tea/coffee facilities and 2 bottles of sparkling/still water replaced every day. The bathroom was fine, lovely, hot powerful shower and hair dryer. The only negative was that our room (4th floor) overlooked the main road where the incredibly noisy trams started at about 5.30 am. It was very warm in the room, which had an air conditioning unit - but we weren't allowed to use it as it's winter so the only option was to sleep with the window open and be woken up very early! The breakfast buffet was small but perfectly adequate for what we paid, the breakfast room was lovely bright and clean. I would return to this hotel but only if they could guarantee a room not overlooking the main road

Stayed for 4 nights at this hotel, room was adequate for the price, spacious bathroom, breakfast was ok, the usual ham, cheese salad and bread, the did do scrambled eggs, the toaster was not very good, took quite a while to toast the bread which I found quite hard, quite a walk to the square, and the bars and restaurants, would have preferred to be nearer.

We had a wonderful time in Krakow, it's a great city, the people we met were lovely and we will go back. There are fantastic places to eat, we booked a guided tour of the city and tried lots of traditional foods and learned a lot about the city's history.

You have to go some way to NOT get a good review from me. Check it! But this has been a poor stay at best. I paid the price asked in advance. The room on arrival has not been sufficiently prepared - no kettle or air con as advertised and confirmed in the booking details (See pics). I noticed today on the way to breakfast that other rooms have programmable safes but mine doesn’t, also as there is no door key pass on the lift the hotel is lacking security. I was told at reception that my kind of single room does qualify for a safe !???. (See pictures). I had to then ask for a do not disturb sign to try and give some sense of occupancy. I was told by the front desk this wasn’t a bad area but come on !!! I had to spend a sweltering day carrying around all my valuables in a bumbag which MAKES me a target for pick pockets etc!! Also there was a wobbly chair - unusable, which was replaced when I raised it, but totally not suitable. Basically this is a motel standard room not three star!! When I raised this I was told by the front desk that my booking was a “classic” so even though it’s a 3-star hotel things are different for rooms like mine. When I asked for a replacement or a discount I was told that nothing could be done due to house keeping. That story itself started to fail under scrutiny. There was only one staff member at front of house who appears unempowered. The ratings in this place have fallen since I booked, and I understand why!! The only thing keeping a 2 rating is the overall cleanliness, the breakfast which is as you’d expect/ buffet style and fresh, and the shower even if the towels are a bit grubby for a new guest. But overall it’s not an average stay - it’s definitely poor. I CANNOT recommend this place! I’d look around if I ever come back to Kraków.
