Lovely small quaint hotel in a quiet area of Krakow, 30minute walk to sights but only 5minute taxi drive to town centre 20zloty(£4) Staff were all very helpful and all spoke perfect English. Hotel was very clean and tidy. Breakfast was continental style. Must say that it was the perfect place to go and relax.

Just returned from a mini break in Krakow where we stayed at the Petrus Hotel.
First thing to say is definitely how helpful and polite the staff were, going out of their way to assist us
The hotel, for its bargain price, was just about perfect. It was clean and warm. The buffet breakfast was more than adequate and there was plenty of parking if needed.
One tiny downside was its location, about 15 mins walk from the centre of Krakow, but not a problem for us, and it meant that it was quiet
Definitely recommend

We stayed for 3 nights and it pretty much met our requirements for a budget hotel. We read previous reviews and agree with some of the points raised. The hotel itself was selected by our agent as part of a package. The plus points were the hotel staff were exceptional, the breakfast was plentiful, the hotel is located in a quiet area, 10 mins walk from a tram.
On the negative side, the room felt damp, the cleaning was missed or incomplete and noise travels within the hotel, which led to disturbed sleep.
Overall, it was suitable for our needs but a bit more attention to detail would give a better experience.

Absolutely disgusting….
We arrived late at night and the hotel was nowhere near any amenities whatsoever. Upon check-in we were given a key to a very old, dated room, (which absolutely did not reflect the price paid). There was no lift and the lights did not properly work, so we had to walk up the stairs in the dark. The room had no kettle or hot drink facilities and the next morning the door actually fell off its bottom hinge. That night after trying to sleep on damp bed sheets the door began to rattle where we believe someone was trying to enter the room, so we had to drag a chair to the door so it couldn’t be accessed from the outside. The cover in the bottom of the shower came loose, the towels were paper thin and small, and the remote control didn’t work properly. Needless to say, we were horrified with our experience at this hotel and decided to check out. The owner offered us an alternative room; however, we had decided that enough was enough and we moved to a larger, safer hotel in the city centre.
I am sharing our experience so hopefully no one else will go through what we did, and the hotel will make some serious changes.

I’d say the hotel is average at best. The staff were friendly but the room was really disappointing. Hotel is dated, really could do with a freshen up. It doesn’t look anything like the pictures you see here. Issues with the room we had were:
• cracked bathroom floor tiles
• trash lying in the room when we checked in, clearly not been cleaned properly
• no air con (which is the summer in Krakow was torture) and the best they will supply you with is a mini desk fan
• towels are tiny and wafer thin, really poor quality
• no tea or coffee facilities
• bathroom light is a small lamp above the mirror which doesn’t provide much light
• bed was rock solid, only marginally better than sleeping on the floor. Only one pillow per person and it again was poor quality
• rooms are not cleaned once you have checked in. The most the cleaner will do is empty the bin
I definitely wouldn’t return to the hotel again. It’s fine for location if you are happy to get a taxi everywhere, but it’s no where near anything in terms of walking distance. Disappointing.

I found the hotel basic but adequate for my needs. It was clean, the staff were helpful and friendly and the breakfast was delicious.
However, air conditioning in rooms would have been nice, WiFi kept dropping out, and tea/coffee facilities in the room would have been good. Also, because it is in the suburbs it was necessary to use Bolt for me but they are very reasonably priced so wasn’t too much of an issue.
Overall I thoroughly enjoyed my time there.

This non-smoking hotel is not French-speaking and is not accessible to people with reduced mobility. It is located in a residential, quiet and green location. The rooms are comfortable, clean and the wifi works well. The air conditioning has been replaced by a fan (we are in Poland, the weather is not good all year round)..... The buffet breakfast is very generous. There is an all-day bar where you can have a drink on the terrace and this establishment also has parking. The old city center can be reached on foot in around thirty minutes and 15 minutes away there is a shopping center. I will go back there.....

Hotel clean and a good basic choice Staff very helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was nice and location good for city centre. We used it as a base to visit Autzwich and the salt mines and enjoyed the riverside walk to town and the busy square

Great little hotel, very clean & tidy. The breakfast is fresh & plentiful. There is also a small bar. Staff speak good English and are very friendly and helpful. There is a small restaurant at the end of the road, which is great if you arrive late. I highly recommended this hotel, especially if your staying for just a few nights.

+1
We arrived late at night to find there was nowhere to get anything to eat, they wouldn't even do us a sandwich. Thankfully there was tea/coffee making facilities in the room. We went for walk to find a shop/garage, about a 130 minute walk there & back.
We ordered a take out 1 night and were happily provided with plates & cutlery.
Walls are quite thin so if your neighbours are early risers then you are too. Shower didn't have enough room to swing a cat in.
Breakfast was nice, quite a good assortment.
We jumped on the trams daily and never paid once, could not figure this out. It's like you have a choice of paying or not as there are no ticket inspectors.
We went to Auschwitz & Birkenau (a must do tour), the Be Happy Museum (lives up to the name), a wax works museum (so bad it was hilarious) and Kraków Castle.
Download BOLT to order taxis rather than take one at the airport, so much cheaper. Use the electric scooters too.

From the hotel to the other side of the river where the city centre starts its about 30 minutes walking. The walk from the hotel is really straight forward, you follow the same road all the way practically to the bridge over the river. It’s a nice walk. We got directions from reception and there’s a map at the top of the street, next the the bistro which I would highly recommend, of the area. The hotel staff were happy to arrange taxis for us and it was pretty cheap as it’s only about 10 minutes to drive. There were also plenty of buses and a tram service around the city but we didn’t use these so I couldn’t tell you anything about them. Hope that helps x
Taxis are very reasonable and mostly speak good English
Sorry we didn't not use any public transport. However the taxis are very reasonable. The city centre is very near to the airport. Hope this helps.
No, I haven't seen it.
No we did not have a kettle in the room.
