Arrived on Friday all bars and restaurants closed Saturday which was a great shame for us as we couldn’t go out for a meal drink etc. The hotel staff were amazing Alexander, Daniel & Gabriella couldn’t do enough, as the hotel was empty Alexander up graded us to the top floor with wonderful views of the square. The place was a great location couldn’t of been more central. Went to the camps which are horrific and should never be forgotten. Salt mines and the city tour again our tour guides were so friendly and helpful. Really recommend this hotel staff are wonderful really enjoyed poland lovely place..
Stayed at the hotel for 3 nights from Thursday 24th sept till 27th Sept. Stayed on the top floor in a deluxe double l Absolutly superb room with amazing views over the square.lovely bathroom with big room space.staff were always helpful and couldn't do enough.we will defiantly be staying here when we return
The 4 star rating is apt for this hotel. We luckily chose not to stay in a self catering apartment close by and chose this hotel based on reviews. We overlooked the square which is picture perfect and even more so at night. It is also perfectly located to just about everything in the city. We chose a slightly larger room. We did not include breakfast since there are many establishments with breakfast options in the vicinity. The hotel was perfectly clean and niceties such as gown, slippers, soaps etc were supplied. It is also dead quiet and we slept incredibly well on the comfortable beds. Our room had a mini bar, some snacks, kettle and coffee. Bottled water on top of fridge was supplied for free on a daily basis. We had an aircon which was just perfect The staff are just awesome. When you walk in they always get up to greet you. 😊They were all fluent in English. Sadly it was time to leave beautiful Krakow and Hotel Wentzl. You will however see us again. …
The location of this hotel is perfect for the centre and other attractions. I had a lovely room overlooking the main square. What a view! The breakfasts was continental style with options of different style eggs. Requests appeared to be of no concern. I would recommend if this hotel is in your budget range.
Stunning hotel, fantastic location and the little balcony on our double deluxe room (45) with view over the main square was perfect for taking time out and people watching! The staff were extremely polite and helpful, particularly Gabriela who spoke perfect English. We arranged airport transfer taxis through the hotel, as well as a trip to Auschwitz, and they couldn't be faulted for price or convenience. It would've been helpful to have a mirror outside of the bathroom, and perhaps a little more storage space for a weeks worth of clothes. The staff were almost too polite with rising from the desk to greet us every time we came in or out, and that felt slightly unnecessary.
I stayed here with my partner and from arriving at the threshold we were impressed with the service from the staff and the quality of the rooms. The staff were attentive and available at the front desk 24/7 to greet you as you come and go and answer any questions. They were friendly and are a credit to the hotel. We stayed in a double room, and had an excellent view of the old town square with a brilliant view of St. Mary’s church on the far side. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable, with amenities included - slippers, towels, bathrobes, a hairdryer and toiletries. The room was equipped with a television, mini bar, AC unit, radiator, as well as complimentary teas/coffees/Nespresso and waters replaced as they’re used. Room service could be called upon and cleaning took place daily. The location of the hotel is phenomenal and ideal for anyone staying in Krakow, only a short 5 minute walk from the main station, and the square has many restaurants, cafes and takeaways to take advantage of during your stay. Any excursions do not pick up from the square is it is pedestrianised, but for us we’re all no more than 5-10 minutes of walking away. I’d recommend the Hotel Wentzl to anyone looking at staying in Kraków, and if I were to return I wouldn’t dream of staying elsewhere. The service we received was so attentive and helpful, I wish every hotel operated in this way! Thank-you for a wonderful stay.…
Stayed at Hotel Wentzl for 3 nights 4 days. The Hotel is perfectly located and our beautiful room overlooked the square. The room was clean and well equipped and had everything you needed. I had emailed the Hotel weeks before and they organised taxi transfers from and to the airport. They also organised two trips for us, with both going exactly how we wanted. The Staff were amazing from my first email to them to the day we left. Could not be more helpful and so friendly. The Breakfast was fresh with lots to choose from. Would definitely recommend Hotel Wentzl and we will return
This was our 2nd trip to Krakow and our 2nd stay at The Wentzl Hotel. We were not disappointed! We were allocated a beautiful and spacious room overlooking the Market Square, full of character and so comfortable. The staff are very helpful and friendly. This surely must be the best hotel in Krakow. Wouldn’t dream of staying anywhere else. Highly recommended.
We were given a tip by a Krakow local to try this hotel as our first choice for accommodation for a city break. We were not disappointed! A small entrance betrayed a big welcome from hotel staff. Actually, the welcome started well before we travelled. The hotel reception team (thank you Gabriela!), gave us tips for things to visit and arranged airport transfers. Once we’d decided what we wanted to do, the hotel arranged drivers with guaranteed prices so we didn’t waste time on our short city break waiting for buses or coaches or worry that we were being ripped off. The drivers were prompt, articulate in English and courteous. We visited the Salt Mines, Auschwitz and had a guided city tour by electric car as well as visiting the Christmas markets (which were right outside the hotel door). As well as organising the trips and drivers, the hotel recommended great restaurants based on our dining preferences and reserved tables (essential in December with plenty of tourists in the city). The hotel itself was extremely comfortable offering features that seem to have disappeared in mainstream corporate brands. A lovely mini bar, extremely luxurious bathroom with great toiletries, robes and slippers, DVD/satellite TV, spacious bedroom with views over the main square. Breakfast was a la carte and tasty We had a magnificent time at Hotel Wentzl, made by the warm and welcoming staff who couldn’t do enough for us. A hotel like hotels used to be in a great location. Thank you team Wentzl!…
Lovely hotel perfectly situated on the main square in Krakow. We were in room 24 which overlooked the square and the very pretty Christmas market. Staff very friendly and helpful and gave lots of information about places to visit and also arranged a taxi to the airport. Definitely recommended.
