This hotel has very attentive and sweet staff. We had several deliveries to the hotel and they helped us out. Whenever we needed anything they tried to help us. The location is just between the Old City and Kazimierz, so great if you want to sightsee in both. The wifi worked fine. The decor, especially in the common areas, is... More

Would recommend this hotel.Clean, Cozy and Comfy beds. Situated in the Jewish Quarter. Staff bery friendly and really looked after us. Food served in the hotel traditional Polish food which we love! Not too far from the Old Town and Kazimierz.

Located in a building rebuilt on the site of an old synagogue, so not too atractive on the outside. Inside lots of paintings, graphics, sculpture, pictures old and new. The combination of the old and modern art gives the place its unique climate. The room was basic but it did not matter (1 night and all day out) given an... More

Yes it's in a good location but that's it. Anyone who leaves a good review at this place has never stayed at a nice hotel...the bed isn't a bed....it's a 1 inch mattress/pillow on a hard surface. ...towels are small....the pillows in the room are horrible...no complimentary coffee or tea in the room...they advertise they ha email advertise restaurant...that's false...there... This is an interesting hotel, unlike many other hotels you can imagine. You feel transported into a Wes Anderson movie, a mixture between old style Austrian-Hungarian and Kitsch. My room was huge, with carpets, pictures, desks etc. Bathroom was also quite big. It is clear that the hotel has seen more glorious days and it does live off those days.... More

The hotel has a perfect locations in city centre. The personnel is pleasant and very helpful. The style and design of hotel is retro, with nice collection of art (mostly copies) everywhere - in the rooms, coridors, cantine. The breakfast is good, with not bad choice and the cantine is really nice with old furniture and nice atmosphere. Rooms are... More

Really very good and relaxing staying at the Alef Hotel, where we spent 6 days from the 17th May to the 23rd May. Rooms very clean and silent. An elegant breakfast room with an open air terrace. Breakfast very abundant and rich with lots of sweet things and delicious Polish egg salades to choose. Excellent position, close to the Wavel... More

We couldn't have had a more pleasant experience then spending twelve straight nights at the Alef-I guess that's more time than usual to stay in one city, but we decided to have a central spoke and wheel philosophy rather than have to schlep every day to a new place and have to carry all your stuff plus your gifts and... The only thing this hotel has going for it is that the location is perfect to do all the tourist things. 7mins walk to the Jewish Quarter and night venues, 10mins walk to the Old Town and Wawel Castle. The hotel itself though is absolute rubbish, barely a 2 star but charges like a high 3 star. The bedding is... More

We booked the hotel for 3 nights and if it was not for our booking policy, which meant no free cancellation, we would have left immediately. (Lesson learnt and next time we will go for the free cancelation option even if it means more money). We were given a tiny room with a sloped ceiling on the top floor where... More
