We stayed at this lovely hotel 19 to 25 March 2022. From the second we arrived until we left the whole experience was great. Every single member of staff were friendly, welcoming and so helpful. The entire building is kept spotlessly clean. Rooms are furnished to a really good standard and have the benefit of both central heating and air con to cope with anything the elements throw at you. Rooms are cleaned daily and towels changed daily. The beds and pillows are really comfortable and each room has tea/coffee making supplies and a mini bar fridge. Breakfast offers a really good choice of hot and cold food and drinks that are refreshed regularly. This hotel is over the road from our favourite bar and slap bang in the middle of the Jewish quarter. I do not hesitate to recommend this lovely hotel. This was our second visit to Krakow and our first stay at the Ester. We will return again next year and will most definately be staying at the Ester again.

Just back from the most amazing few days in Krakow and the base for our wonderful holiday was the absolutely amazing Hotel Ester right in the heart of the beautiful Jewish quarter.. The first thing that struck us about this hotel was the staff, an absolutely amazing willingness to help us with all our needs during our stay and the friendly nature of all three receptionists, Kate, Dorothy and Paulina, it was a pleasure to meet you girls and you are a great asset to the hotel as such efficient and friendly front of house staff. We stayed in the apartment on the second floor, wanting a little more room as we had our daughter with us, all I can say is wow!! It gave us so much room and comfort for the 4 nights we stayed there. It has two very generous double bedrooms , each with their own bathroom, so ideal for a family or would comfortably house 4 people or two couples. The location of hotel Ester is ideal, the area is dotted with beautiful restaurants and bars, all offering their own specialities and are such good value. We had our breakfast in the hotel every day and there was plenty of sausages, eggs, pancakes, fresh fruit, different types of pastries and local breads and as much tea and coffee as you could drink. A great start to a busy day of exploring Krakow. We were a lovely 15 minute stroll into Krakow town centre and if you're not into walking, taxis are not atall expensive. We have vowed to return to Krakow in the future and will not hesitate in rebooking Hotel Ester and look forward to returning to an amazing hotel excellently run by Anna and her wonderful staff. Thank you all at the Ester Hotel.

We stayed at the Hotel Ester with friends last week for 4 nights. The hotel is centrally positioned in the Jewish Quarter with plenty of nearby restaurants, bars, coffee shops etc - all very reasonably priced. It was a lovely hotel - spotlessly clean, toasty warm (it was -8 outside!) comfy rooms with good facilities and really pleasant friendly staff who spoke excellent English. The only downside in my opinion was the breakfast. The hot food was cold (yuk!) and wasn't replenished enough for the amount of guests staying. Plus there was no toaster. We asked if we could have toast & got a resounding no. Yet we had two evening meals there and they were very good. Freshly cooked, piping hot, plentiful and very reasonably priced too. Such a shame they let themselves down on just that one thing. We went on the trip to Auschwitz & Birkenau which was excellent. Very moving and quite emotional but a worthwhile visit. The guides were very knowledgeable and as we had head sets we were able to clearly hear what we were being shown & what was being said. Definitely one that everyone should go on whilst in Krakow. We also went to Schindler's Museum which was another interesting place to visit and within walking distance (a bit of a trek but do-able). We decided to visit the Salt Mines which was a waste of money. No headsets so we couldn't hear the guide, she didnt wait for all of the group to catch up, rude staff. All in all badly managed. There are also hundreds of steps down to the mines so if you're not good with steps this isn't for you. Krakow is a lovely city with some amazing scenery and beautiful buildings, steeped in history. We all really enjoyed our 4 days there.

Just returned from a delightful holiday staying at Hotel Ester in Kazimierz. This is an exceptionally clean hotel. The rooms are cleaned and towels changed everyday which we were not expecting. The beds are very comfortably and a good nights sleep was very welcome after sightseeing all day. There was plenty of food on offer at breakfast and the menu in the evenings is very good. There are a wide choice of tour carts that go from the square outside. Hotel staff are all excellent and friendly. We had booked to visit this hotel in 2020 but then Covid-19 happened and even though this was pushed onto 2021 it was eventually cancelled by Jet2. We were very disappointed by this and saw an offer and asked if the Ester could be booked instead of the suggested hotel. So happy that we got there in the end. It is perfectly situated for visits to the Old Town, Wavel castle, synagogues and many Catholic churches.

I really loved my choice of this hotel . Reception staff couldn't have been more helpful and assisted me in all my queries. They spoke good English too . Breakfast was just what I was hoping for , mainly polish food , which is filling and hearty and loads of it . One morning it was just me and the person with me , and they brought us a banquet to our table . Room was perfectly adequate, very very warm and kept very clean . As we had thick snow outside the cosy warm hotel was just what we needed . Food in the restaurant was very good , lots of Jewish polish food to try ( not kosher ) . The area of the hotel was amazing , the old synagogue to the left , surrounded by very old beautiful buildings , so well preserved . Full of history . We tried most of the restaurants for lunch and dinner , and although not cheap , not dear either . Our favourite was Once Upon a Time in Kazimierz, which is as quirky as its name . Lovely music playing . We were a nice walk from the old town and the ghetto . Trips were very good , and now I know my way around a lot more , some were walkable . I love Krakow and I will be back soon . I love Hotel Ester too

We were delighted by the friendliness of the staff in this Hotel - particularly Katie and Dorothy (anglicised versions of their names of course) who went the extra mile to make sure we were always content during our 13 night stay. We were, due to our long stay there, given the "best room in the hotel" and what a room (18) that turned out to be. More like a suite I would say. And a large walk-in wardrobe, most unusual to find one of these in a hotel. The hotel is located in the heart of the Jewish Quarter (Kasimiertz) which is approximately 30 minutes walk from the main square of Krakow or 5 minutes by the cheap tram service and is in one of the original squares in which scenes from "Schindler's List" were filmed. But also less than 10 minutes walk from the river where a path will lead you into the centre, a little longer walk but more pleasant. But back to the hotel, I must also mention the housekeeping trio of ladies who did a great job and were always cheery. Unfortunately like others we found the breakfast a bit of a let down but at the same time appreciate it must be difficult to cater to many nationalities at the same time. There was always though a version of the Full English with scrambled eggs and sausages being the main ingredients, together with an impressive display of Continental Breakfast offerings. We ate in the hotel restaurant on 4 occasions and were satisifed. So all in all it was an efficiently run hotel and one which suited us because of the quiet location.

This was a lovely 3 night trip away to Krakow, and when we arrived at the hotel there was local music being played outside, and we felt very welcome. The hotel is in a little square, which is so picturesque, and nothing is too far away, shops for milk and water just across the square and around the corner, and plenty of places to eat in the square and immediate vicinity. The hotel gave us some milk to make coffees in our room as well as some ice cubes, they were quite helpful. The bed was comfy and we slept well. We did not eat meals at the hotel other than breakfast, which was all perfectly adequate, there were some hot scrambled eggs and sausages as well as all the usual continental foods. The room was ok with a mini bar fridge (that didn't get very cold) and looked out onto the square, it was nice to see the busy comings and goings throughout the day and night. It is also easy to get one of the trips around the city from one of the men who wait in the square with their little open vehicles. All in all a very enjoyable memorable stay. :)
