What makes us special:
Hotel Eden is the only hotel in Poland with mezuzah (a piece of parchment inscribed with specified Hebrew verses from the Torah)
Hotel Eden is the only Jewish hotel in Poland with a mikvah (ritual Jewish bath). In its pre-renovation state Hotel Eden can be seen in the film "Schindler's List", as some of the film's scenes were shot on Ciemna Street and inside the future hotel.
There are unique paintings and posters on the walls from various period of times.
Hotel Eden is a beautiful place in the heart of the historical center. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Right outside the door was access to many nice places to see, and places to eat and drink. Besides, the beds were incredibly comfortable.
Great value hotel in the heart of the Jewish Quarter, right next to the Old Synagogue. Room was very clean and plenty big enough. Breakfast was also very good - they even let me eat breakfast early when I had a airport transfer booked!
Very pleasant inexpensive place to stay in a good location in Krakow, a 15 minute walk to Wawel castle and 20 minute walk to the main square , the staff are helpful and friendly, the hotel is very clean with good facilities for a 3 star hotel. There is a street food area outside the front of the hotel and a square with a variety of restaurant's and bars a minutes walk away to the left of the Hotel .
Hotel Eden was centrally located in Krakow's Jewish Quarter, within walking distance of restaurants, nightlife, public transport and Krakow's Old Town. The area around the hotel was safe and quiet with a nice and relaxed atmosphere. The guest rooms were large and comfortably furnished with a desk, work chair, minibar and a large and comfortable bed. The interior seemed somewhat old, but was well maintained and in good condition. The bathroom was simple but conveniently decorated and there was a good selection of towels and toiletries. The cleanliness was very good, but due to Covid-19 restrictions, the rooms were not cleaned during our stay. This is to avoid the spread of infection. The hotel's common areas were clean and well maintained. Breakfast was served as a buffet and had a rich selection of both hot and cold dishes. The dishes seemed to be homemade and there were some variations from day to day, which helped to lift the impression. The staff in the breakfast room appeared friendly and attentive. The reception staff were very friendly and attentive. It should be mentioned that the hotel is not a new and trendy hotel, but that it has an old charm and a high level of service. I would visit the hotel again and can safely recommend it to other travelers.…
We had an amazing stay at Hotel Eden. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. We used the sauna for a very reasonable price and the breakfast was excellent. Prior to our stay I had been emailing the staff as it was our daughters 12th birthday and they helped immensely by organising a beauty treatment for us at the hotel. We were also surprised that they had arranged a beautiful birthday cake for her with a candle at breakfast time. They really went above and beyond for us. It completely made our stay. The location is excellent and the area is thriving and vibrant in the evenings. Thank you to all the staff, we will never forget our stay and I sincerely hope we will be back soon!
This was a pretty good experience. Good location (heart of the Jewish Quarter and not far from main square). Clean, cozy and very comfortable room. Very friendly and helpfull staff. Great value for money. Worth a visit! I highly recommend it!
I think I forgot to write a review from Hotel Eden last June (2019). So here it comes. We love this hotel! Nice people, nice rooms, historic building, good breakfast served in a very special breakfast room in the very basement of the house. We simply loved it. The hotel is situated in the jewish quarter, close to a lot of beautiful cynagoges, the famous place where important parts of the movie «Schindlers List» was shot and where you can find a lot of nice restaurants and bars. Everything is whitin walking distance. Service is great and rooms are clean. We had a nice room at 1st floor with a small balcony towards the backyard. Peace and quiet. For your next trip to Krakow this hotel is highly recommended by us.
I spent three nights last year and I really enjoyed this place. Very qualified staff and special thank you to Monica for her support. I had a very comfortable room with a balcony, very clean and great location. I highly recommend it.
Having decided on our annual short break to Europe with our friends we chose Krakow and the Eden hotel. The whole experience went fine, flights out, airport transfers and check in at the hotel. Then the corona virus issue hit and turned the whole experience upside down. On our check-in we were informed that all the attractions, Auschwitz Birkenau, Salt mines and all the museums had closed so our tour had been cancelled. So we decided to enjoy the city anyway. The rooms were big and the beds extremely comfortable and the duvets really warm. When we went for breakfast we found the cellar dining area very quirky and very different to the hotels main building. There is plenty of variety within the breakfast but remember that it is predominantly of a continental style, there is in addition some hot food items and the staff will freshly prepare a variety of omelettes to order which we made use of and they were very tasty. The hotel is within the Jewish quarter and if you want to go out and experience different eating and drinking experiences then you are ideally situated for just that. There is an open air food court directly opposite the hotel which are fairly popular in the area. There a number of restaurants and bars within easy walking distance of the hotel as are access to city wide tours in large golf buggy type vehicles. If you are up for walking and exploring on your home, the place feels safe, very little issue with beggars or people pestering for tours etc, the guides with golf buggy tours will ask if you are interested but a quick no thanks is quite sufficient. We managed to locate both Irish bars, one which is only a couple of streets away from the hotel and the other is in the old town and can be reached by a steady walk into the main square and the old town. The reception staff will book taxis as we required them on a couple of occasions and they were promptly ordered for us. Be aware of taxis as in the main they aren’t expensive but we did get one from the Irish bar in old town back to the hotel and he ripped us off compared to all the others we had used. The staff were in a very difficult situation when the corona virus situation started to develop at a pace whilst we were there and we had to cut short our break by a day and sort out getting back to the airport to sort out flights home. The reception staff assisted us in trying to contact the English consulate in Krakow who we.re of little use to anyone caught up in the mayhem. Once the world returns to normal, we will return to Krakow to continue exploring the wonderful city and we shall be using Eden hotel as our base next time. The hotel is a great base to explore the city.…
We had a wonderful time in Krakow thanks to the staff in Hotel Eden. Clean, comfortable room and great breakfasts. The location in the Jewish quarter is excellent for food and sightseeing. As we were travelling into the city I thought it looked much the same as any city, until we arrived into the old town. I loved the old cobbled streets. We booked our flight and Hotel Eden last summer at a great price. I recommend comfortable shoes for walking. It was warmer than Northern Ireland the week we visited and it only rained one day:). We hope to return in the summer as recommended by the staff at Krakow airport. I really noticed the green, green grass of home when we came home.
