Hotel Eden history:

We are located in the carefully restored XV-th century home of Isaac Jakubowicz, the founder of the Isaac Synagogue.

Hotel Eden location:

Hotel Eden is perfectly situated right in the heart of Krakow's old Jewish quarter - Kazimierz. We are close to many historical sights such as The Remuh synagogue, Old Synagogue, Wawel Castle, Schindler's factory and the former Jewish ghetto in Podgorze. The medieval Main Market Square with famous St Mary's Church and Cloth Hall is an easy 10 minute walk away.

Rooms and relax:

Hotel Eden offers 27 rooms (single, twin, triple, quad) equipped with private bathroom, fridge, satellite TV, telephone, coffee and tea facilities, free WiFi internet access and an additional computer for hotel guests in the lobby.

For a modest fee you can use our unique Salt Grotto as well as the more traditional forms of relaxation: sauna and massage.

What makes us special:

Hotel Eden is the only hotel in Poland with mezuzah (a piece of parchment inscribed with specified Hebrew verses from the Torah)

Hotel Eden is the only Jewish hotel in Poland with a mikvah (ritual Jewish bath). In its pre-renovation state Hotel Eden can be seen in the film "Schindler's List", as some of the film's scenes were shot on Ciemna Street and inside the future hotel.

There are unique paintings and posters on the walls from various period of times.

Superb location and great staff It's a great place to explore krakow from. Some quirky touches to hotel (underground breakfast) made it unique . Lots of local choices for food and exploring nearby. Felt safe and relax Would happily use again if visit Poland again.

Our room was in the loft. There were two skyline windows. The .noise from a local bar kept me awake on the first night. You have to pay to use the sauna. Good size rooms with a lovely bed. The breakfast room is located in the basement, which has been turned into a cave. Brilliant food. Very good location Your staying in a very hidtoric area .

I was a bit worried about the hotel as a few reviews hadn't been great but no need to be. Staff are friendly, breakfast great, location v good, rooms clean, comfy and equipped. It's a 3 star hotel so it won't have 5 star facilities, that's why it's 3 star, if you want 5 star book 5 star. Couldn't fault it. If I had to pick a "flaw" then a few UK TV channels would be nice for late evening but hardly a problem. There's a great little open air food market 3 steps away with loads of tasty food and far cheaper than a restaurant. In the Jewish quarter so around 20 min walk to main square ..I'd stay again if I returned.

I just spent five days here and thoroughly enjoyed it. The hotel is clean and quiet (my first-floor room overlooked the street, and the only tiime I was vaguely bothered by the sound of voices was on a Friday evening, which is understandable - start of the weekend). The hotel has tremendous atmosphere, is beautifully clean, and the bed is one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in. Breakfast is copious, varied and served in a beautifully restored cellar. The restoration of the entire hotel is first-class and gives you all the amenities you want without destroyiing the character of an ancient and historic building. Bravo for that! The staff are lovely, and I slept like a log every night, which was crucial, since I spent eight to ten hours every day dashing around Krakow trying to see all my 'mustn't miss' sights. What a city! Staying at the Eden, right in the heart of the old Jewish quarter, yet only ten to fifteen minutes from the Market Square in the Old Town and less across the river to Podgorze, will enhance your trip no end. It did mine!
