We would definitely stay here again, it's a great location just a few minutes walk from the main square. We stayed in room 9 which I would describe as being lovely and warm, very clean, large comfy bed, great shower, small kitchenette with a microwave and tea and coffee making facilities. The decor is quite contemporary and it all looked very new. Joanna was extremely helpful arranging our taxi to and from the airport, I just couldn't fault this place in any way and we would definitely stay here again.
I stumbled upon this place during my 1st trip to Krakow 4 months ago just walking through the street. I then research it and read the great reviews. I fell in love with the city of Krakow and it's people and just had to go back. The location of this guesthouse is just perfect. It's about a 12 minute walk from the train station and just a few blocks from the main square. I emailed the guesthouse directly to make my reservation and ask questions. Joanna always responded quickly. As we arrived my husband and I were greeted by Joanna who showed professionalism and made us feel at home. The rooms and bed were comfortable and clean. Joanna even made arrangements to tour Auschwitz and also set up a taxi to take us to the airport on our last day. She really made us feel at home…
I booked this hotel after reading several reviews on here, and am glad I did. Upon arrival, I knew that we were near the main square, always a bonus. Joanna also booked our airport transfer, and he was waiting for us on arrival. We rang the bell, and were taken up 4 flights of stairs and shown our rooms. I was in Room 6 , my friend in Room 9. Rooms were spotless, tea/coffee/small fridge etc. My friends room (9) was more of a small apartment! He also had a coffee perc/microwave, so a great room. Our stay was very comfortable, and even though it is 3 minutes from the square, it is tucked sedately out of the way. I liked the fact that we were left to our devices, people have mentioned the fact that there is no reception, I personally liked that feature. The only downside was when…
We loved staying in this apartment in Kraków. Our hosts Joanna and Fabien were just the best. A nice welcome and made us feel at home straight away. Nice clean spacious apartment looking over a courtyard. Big spacious bathroom, lots of storage. Great location. Easy walking distance to all the points of interest, many cafes. Thanks to Joanna and Fabian also for all the advice they have given us on where to dine and places to visit. One of the restaurants that Joanna had recommended was Pino, it was sensational, beautiful fresh food at a reasonable cost. We went there twice, and would thoroughly recommend it.
I'm your classic budget traveler and this hotel/location is perfection. Comfortable, quiet, clean, and priced fairly. You won't need to take public transit as the location is walking distance to everything. The owners are German and very kind and helpful. They live in the building, but there is no reception so you will need to be able to communicate with them to coordinate your arrival. In my opinion this hotel should be ranked #1 in the "Budget" category. I think the secret is not out yet on TA so if you read this consider yourself lucky and book it!
This accommation is perfectly situated between the Market Square and the Castle, yet on a quiet street. The rooms were very airy and clean, beds very comortable and the bathroom spotless. Miss Joanna was ever so welcoming and helpful, provided with a map and giving tips on good places to eat and not overcharged. Strongly recommend
Close to all the landmarks, restaurants and attractions, yet a few paces away from the maddening crowd - enough to give you decent rest. Run by an art school graduate, so expect a touch of good taste and not-so-run-of-the-mill feel. Clean, quiet, arty without being artsy or fussy, and accommodating: can't have more value for money. Don't expect to be chaperoned around Kraków, but the staff will offer you decent tips on the do's and don'ts.
Our student group of 20 was visiting Krakow for 3 nights on a weekend in early March. The rooms are vary in size, with most students in a twin-bedded room that was small and cozy. We had also reserved two triples, which were much larger rooms, and one had a small kitchen. Students reported being very comfortable. The two faculty members had slightly bigger room with a queen size bed. There are no 'amenities' like small bottles of shampoo, lotion or shower gel. There is one dispenser with soap that serves all purposes. There is no magnifying mirror in the bathroom (a must for me), but the water pressure was good even when others were showering. There is an electric kettle and tea bags. It appeared that all rooms were on one floor. Our student group had most of the rooms and…
While travelling to Krakow for a conference at the Jagiellonian University, I chose Pokoje Poselska for its reasonable price and location between the university and my colleagues staying in the Jewish quarter. The hotel is located in Old Town only 5min from the main square, around the corner from the tram and taxi stop, and 10min from Wawel Castle. Restaurants, shops and money exchanges are all within walking distance. From the outside of the hotel, it doesn't look like much. Truth be told, it's more of a rental room than a hotel as there is no reception desk and shares the building with other tenants. However, the rooms have all the basic needs for a single traveler or a couple staying for a few days, to include a water heater and free wifi. The room was clean and comfortable,…
We stayed at Pokoje Poselska in September 2013 (late review!) and thought that for the money this was a good choice in Krakow. It's more of a bed / apartment than a B&B or hotel as they don't serve breakfast & there is no reception desk per se. Not that this is a problem but is worth bearing in mind if you're after a hotel. Check In required somebody meeting us outside and taking us to the room to show us around and the B&B can be a little hard to find since it is inside a gate off a side road. The accommodation however was really good we thought for the money - no five star luxury, but a large room with tea & coffee making facilities and good shower. Free Wifi was also very good! In terms of location it is perfect as you can literally walk out the main door & turn right to…
