We stayed in hotel Estera from 17th-20th of jan, and we couldn’t have asked for anymore. The hotel is brand new and absolutely spotless. When we checked in the lady was very friendly, and made the process very easy. We forgot an adapter and she gave us one to use without question. Our room was beautiful, spotless again, very large and comfy bed, and a lovely modern bathroom with a very large shower. The room had a nespresso machine which was yummy and a nice touch. We had breakfast twice which was delicious, with pancakes, waffles, eggs, bacon, sausage, yoghurt, fruit, etc. Again all the staff at breakfast were very professional and would do anything to help us, e.g., even though it’s self service for drinks and some food bits, our drinks were brought to us and could order from the table for omlette and eggs. We had drinks in the hotel and you get discount for being a guest. I can’t stress how lovely and kind the staff were, it was really apparent that they wanted to help and give great service. The location was fab, in the middle of the Jewish quarter and a 15 min walk to the centre of the Old Town. Everything was near by and accessible by walking. For the amazing price, and the staff and beautiful rooms etc, it’s a no brainer!

My wife and I have just enjoyed a great weekend in Krakow, and at the superb Hotel Estera. It's situated in a quiet side street in the Kazimerez area of Krakow, and we're so glad that we chose this area, because it's without doubt 'the' place to be in the whole of Krakow. If you step out of the front door of this hotel, and turn left - then you're 10 metres from a 'food square' - that's positively ringed with great little bars and restaurants and they cater for all types and all tastes. We had a great time sampling the excellent beers, and food - just a one minute stroll from the hotel. The old town square and Wawel Castle [etc] are around a 15 minute walk in the other direction, and in the opposite direction, the river and a great 'arty' footbridge is just a 10 minute walk. Beyond the river- another 10 minutes and you're at the Schindler's Factory, a place I'd urge everyone to visit! The hotel impresses with a glowing ambience from the moment you arrive, sublimely decorated and lit, it is so very opulent and comfortable, as was our upgraded room, which had a very comfy bed, large screen TV [only EU channels], coffee machine, plenty of bathroom freebies and lots of towels. All in all we were impressed with the quality of the rooms, no expense spared here. Natalie, on the Reception Desk, was always available with help and advice, she also booked us a taxi to the airport [25 mins and around £20], and a trip to the excellent Salt Mines [an absolute must] which were so much bigger than we'd imagined, and she'd arranged for us to be picked up right outside the hotel, and - had got us a packed lunch to replace the breakfast we'd missed due to the early start. Sometimes a really good hotel can be let down by staff who aren't that bothered, but no here, everyone was on-point and friendly. The Restaurant was excellent and we had enough GF options to give my wife a rare 'choice', our food was superbly cooked and delivered by a very friendly server [thanks, Anna]. Likewise - the food options at breakfast were mind-boggling, I've read reviews from people saying that the breakfast options were limited? Well, not from what we saw and tasted, the breakfast was superb. The hotel also has a nice cosy bar, slightly elevated above the street action that begins just after dark outside. Overall - this was a faultless hotel, one of the best we've ever stopped at in Europe, and for the price of a Travelodge in the UK! When we arrived, we took the train from the Airport to the main Kracow station, these trains are cheap [about £2 each] and they run every 30 minutes. All good - but you then have a 20-25 mins walk to this hotel. The taxi was more expensive, but if you / anyone in your party has mobility issues, then I'd recommend a taxi as opposed to the train. Anyway - a truly faultless hotel, well done to all concerned. We do hope to return.

This is a fantastic hotel. We stayed in August as a family of 3 with a 7 year old. The hotel is new and the rooms are fantastic. Our room had a large TV with cable channels, Air Con, Safe, Nespresso coffee machine, kettle, fridge, towels, hairdryer as well as complimentary shower gel, shampoo, body wash and vanity set. The room and bathroom were both impeccably clean. The beds are very comfortable and windows are soundproofed. The hotel is right on the Old Town main square opposite the famous Alchemia bar and overlooking the market and street food sellers. This is the best location for accommodation in the old town. Although the nightlife can be a little loud at times, the sound proof windows drown almost all the noise out. The staff are very helpful and give recommendations on everything from parking to where to go/what to do. The 24 hour reception staff we had were Natalia and Katarzyna who were very helpful and answered all our questions. Car parking is a little challenging around this area. We were advised to park around the corner at Miodowa and although hard to get a space, cars frequently move within 10-15 minutes and we just pulled over until a space became available. If you arrive during the night time, spaces are usually available. Parking when we visited was 60zł per 24 hours (just over £10GBP) This is payable through the street parking meters via card or coins (1, 2, and 5zł coins). The hotel great base to explore from. All old town attractions are on your doorstep including synagogues, market, street food, cafes, bars, and shops. Other attractions are close by including Oskar Schindler's Enamel Factory - 20 min walk Main Square - 15 min walk Galeria Krakowska shopping centre - 25 min walk Wawel Castle - 15 min walk Wisła Krakow stadium - 40 min walk The tram stops are just 2 minutes away which will take you all over the city if you don’t want to walk. Make sure you visit the Wieliczka Salt Mine and Auschwitz concentration camp. The reception staff will help you book these excursions if you require. Overall this hotel was exceptional which set us up to have a great time in Krakow. Highly recommended and we will stay here on our return.

Superb hotel! When I stay in a hotel I just want things to work (e.g. aircon, roomcard, shower etc.) and to have a good nights sleep. Hotel Estera exceeded my expectations in this regard. The hotel and room was wonderfully finished and decorated. Everything worked and the staff were super friendly.

That was the worst stay I have ever experienced. Picture yourself in hotel bed around 11 pm and you can not sleep at all, because there is an extremly loud, rumbling music from the private party in the hotel. You complained several times during the night, but nothing happened and the music is still on until 3am. Nightmare! Absolutely unprofessional attitude to the customer. Estera, you have got a big space for improvement. Money has been refunded to us.

Response from Aneta Dyda, General Manager at Hotel Estera
Responded Jul 7, 2021
Dear Mrs. Veronica, Thank you for your opinion. The situation for us was also very stressful, because despite the proposal to move to a quiet room, we did not receive permission after the first notification of the inconvenience. Our Staff made every effort to resolve this situation. We were in constant contact with the DJ who played music in the Restaurant on level -1. The music was muted, all doors locked. We also checked the corridors on the floors and asked other overnight Guests if they could hear the music. In the end, we did not charge you with the cost of your stay, hoping that this solution will satisfy you. We are sorry to read that despite our best efforts and compensation on our part, we receive so many negative reviews. We understand your bitterness, so please accept our apologies once again. Yours sincerely, Aneta Dyda Operational Director of Hotel Estera ****
