If you plan on visiting Krakow, this gem of a Hotel is a must stay. The staff are attentive, knowledgeable, kind and friendly. The Hotel is a delight. Wonderfully appointed rooms and common areas. The restaurant is outstanding also. Put this outstanding Hotel on your bucket list. We will definitely be back!!
The best hotel in Krakow, beautiful room, tasty food in restaurant and very polite and friendly staff in restaurant and reception. We stayed several times and never were disappointed. Fantastic breakfast with plenty of choice. We would never stay in another hotel when in krakow.
What a great Hotel. Great location and excellent staff. I rise early and they made me coffee in the lobby, best coffee I got in Krakow...Karol (named after the Pope) was a wealth of information and good to teach me a few Polish phrases. He also arranged our trip to Auschwitz and whichever company it was they were great especially the driver Peter. There are always things that can be improved and the only thing my wife would say is it was hard for here to get a glass of wine in the attached restaurant as they had no bar and the concept of sitting at a table for a glass of wine was somehow lost in translation...no big deal in my opinion, but then again I don't indulge. Regarding the location, perfect for walking to the square and to the Wawel Castle, as well it wasn't far from some of the things we wanted to see in the city. Krakow was a great first visit to Poland and the Balthazar was a perfect spot to stay. …
We loved staying in this beautiful hotel. The location was superb. The staff were all very polite and helpful. Our room was beautiful clean and very comfortable. The hotel organised a tour for the Schindler factory for us which was excellent. The transport to the airport organised by hotel was also excellent.
Fabulous hotel in a perfect location, just right for accessing the main square and other sights. From the moment you step into the hotel for the first time, you know instantly that you have made the right choice. The staff could not have been more welcoming and helpful and make you feel special. A special mention to Toby, who was exceptionally welcoming, enthusiastic and helpful. It was always lovely to see him. The building is beautifully and sumptuously decorated throughout. Rooms are stylish and have luxurious features. There is a restaurant on site which looked amazing, however we did not dine in there as we were busy touring the area. Highly recommend.
Hotel is located just steps away from main market, which is add on value. However, forget about easy ride to hotel and be ready to walk with your lugage at least 10 minutes. Balthazar is well maintained and great hotel with amazing staff. Rooms are clean and tidy. Breakfast was not really 5* choice but was Ok.
The Balthazar Design hotel is a simply beautiful hotel. On arrival we were greeted warmly and professionally by the staff. We were offered a glass of iced water which was a lovely touch. The look and feel of the entire hotel adheres to its 5 star rating. Staff greet guests enthusiastically and consistently throughout the day. The rooms feel opulent and indulgent. They are beautifully designed and equally comfortable. The gift of amaretto and biscotti was a lovely touch. Each day, the room was cleaned to a very high standard with all amenities and water replenished. We really loved the story left each day about Kraków’s traditions and legends- what a special touch! Robes and slippers add to the luxurious feel and the shower was large and powerful. We would 100% recommend this hotel if you are staying in the beautiful city of Krakow. The location is also perfect! Thank you Balthazar for the best time and we will hopefully return in the future.…
This hotel is simply on tops in terms of services and comfort. The staff is super friendly and they really care about giving you the best experience. 2 examples : we drove there and the hotel is located in the old town, there was some renovation work on the road and we couldn’t access near the hotel by car, they send us a taxi to pick up us at the car park at their charges. The following morning we needed to leave very early to visit some places and were missing breakfast, instead they prepared us a fantastic lunch boxe which was absolutely delicious. On top of this they have a fantastic restaurant and their breakfast is absolutely perfect.
Stayed at the Balthazar for three nights visiting Krakow. It is very well situated, being in the Old Town and all the normal 'sights to see' are in easy walking distance, e.g. Schindler's Factory was about 25 minutes' walk, Old Town Square about 10 minutes. Our room was on the third floor and was very comfortable and beautifully decorated. Amaretto and chocolates were waiting for us on arrival and yes, I guess you pay for them in the overall price, but it does make you feel very welcome! Breakfast was quite good, selection of meats, cheese and fruit, then choices ranging from granola and a type of porridge to sausages and eggs. We didn't dine in the restaurant, only because my wife would have found the choices a bit limiting. I'm sure it's very good but there are several places to eat nearby including some very good restaurants. The room was quiet and cleaned to a high standard. We particularly liked the little stories about Krakow that were dropped off every day. All the staff that we met were very helpful, professional and friendly. It's a lovely hotel and if we go back to Krakow, we'd certainly look to go back to the Balthazar.…
The hotel was amazing. The service we received was the best I’ve ever experienced anywhere. Really friendly staff. Great location. Would go back 100% and recommend to anybody I know who is visiting Krakow. Really enjoyed staying here and look forward to going back.
