This is a very welcoming hotel whose friendly, attentive staff speak excellent English and are only too willing to help guests enjoy their stay. We originally booked accommodation for five nights on a non-refundable basis. However, BA cancelled and rebooked our flights to such an extent that we had to add two nights at the start and one at the end of our trip. The hotel took all of this in its stride, allowing us to have use of the same room for our entire trip - in fact, they gave us an upgrade! The extra nights were charged at very favourable rates and it was explained to us that, in the event of cancellation, these extra nights would be refunded - first class service!
Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean. The hotel explained that the room would not be serviced on a daily basis but that we should ask at reception if we needed anything done. Every couple of days, we would ask for fresh towels and invariably return later to find the entire room made up.
They offered a very substantial buffet breakfast which was convenient if you had an early morning tour departure although there was a wide choice of bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. With Market Square only two blocks away, all Krakow's main attractions are virtually on your doorstep.
We had a wonderful stay and would not hesitate to book at Hotel Unicus on our next Krakow visit.

The hotel is a charming well-kept smaller hotel at a great rate within easy walking distance of the north gate and the main square.
Breakfast was tasty - I ordered the waffle for breakfast (included) in addition to the buffet. I never tried their restaurant for dinner as there were so many great options only a few blocks away.
The location is around the corner from Florianska which has a lot of bars (open until early morning) but thanks to the excellent noise insulation in the windows, I hardly heard anything during the Friday and Saturday night I spent at the hotel.
I hope to be back soon and I know where I want to stay again.

Just back from a lovely 4 night stay at the Hotel Unicus. The hotel arranged a taxi to pick us up from the airport which was very quick and efficient. We had a twin room which, although it was a the front of the hotel was not noisy. The beds were very comfortable and we slept really well. Unlike most other hotels, it wasn't unbearably hot and we could open the window fully. I totally disagree with a previous visitor about room cleaning. The standard of housekeeping was exceptional with the room being cleaned daily and fresh towels in the bathroom. The bathroom was spacious and the shower very good. The bedroom was large with plenty of storage space. We had a great breakfast every day with a large selection of baked and cooked items. We booked a trip through reception and were picked up promptly at the hotel. All staff were helpful and friendly. The hotel is in an excellent location, only a few metres from shops and bars and around 200m from the Old Square. This is a lovely hotel and we would definitely recommend it to others.

I booked this hotel last minute and was apprehensive. I need not have been. The staff were personable and professional. Our room was ready earlier than 3, even though vacated late. The place was immaculate. We could hear noise throughout the night but we wouldn’t have chosen an hotel in the very centre if we wanted silence.
The breakfast was really lovely, choice and taste.
Before arriving I’d emailed the hotel to book trips. It all worked perfectly, with emails being answered very quickly. They also organised our taxi back to the airport, so smooth and exact cost as advised.
On arriving we had left our luggage in a central room until our room was ready. I forgot to collect a book I’d left there. Within a short time they had, by a process of elimination, returned my book to me unprompted.
Thanks for a great 3 nights Unicus. I’ll definately recommend you my friends!!

A very comfortable, reasonably priced hotel, in heart of the old town. The main square is a few minutes walk away (St Mary's Basilica is close by}. It is also close to excellent bars and restaurants, as well as having an excellent in house restaurant. You get a discount on breakfast if ordered the day before (cost around 17 zl). Breakfast was buffet style, with an excellent, selection of fresh fruit, cheese, yoghurt, cereal, as well as a menu for fresh cooked food (eggs, waffles, etc).

The single room was very comfortable, quiet, with a modern bathroom. I stayed Friday to Monday, and heard little outside noise. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Airport pick up drop off was also arranged by the hotel, and the taxis were on time, reliable, with friendly drivers.

We were booked at the Unicus at the suggestion of Travel Local - specifically "Kasia"- that we found online while researching vacations in Poland. We live in Orlando, FL and were greatly anticipating a trip as a couple to Poland for my wife's birthday. We stayed at the hotel for 5 nights and were greatly pleased and extremely impressed by the staff, the food, the room and the location. My wife fell in love with the atmosphere of the dining room. The staff was friendly and so happy to be helpful in all ways, and it made us feel very welcome and appreciated. The front desk staff was also very friendly, professional and very supportive with our requests for information and services.
We will absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Poland.
Thank you for a great stay and memories for a lifetime,
Jill Haire-Costantini and Andy Costantini

We booked a twin room as that was all that was available, arrived late at night, checked in and was surprised to see that the hotel was not like the photos on the website! The website show the trattoria and spa where as the hotel is across the road and on a separate site! Our room was basic, the safe was broken and the wooden furniture scratched and battered,, no mini bar, just an empty fridge, safe was taped up and broken, toiletries consisted of a dispenser attached to the wall,,, definitely not luxury. We asked if there was another room available,, but not that night,,,, we were awake most of the night as the room was noisy with the elevator going up and down outside the door and lots of banging and crashing.. we eventually got moved to another twin which was virtually the same and unlike the website pictures… very brown, tired and basic,, kettle but sachet of coffee and sachet of creamer! We asked where the spa was and was told there was a charge to use it and it was on the other site! Again not clear on the website,, staff were friendly but hotel website do not resemble I. Any way our room, most photos are of the trattoria and spa,, not the hotel..staff however were friendly and helpful and the location is excellent for exploring the city.

Dear Sally, Thank you very much for taking the time to share your opinion with us. It is thrilling to see that you very much enjoyed our location and hotel staff. Unfortunately, we have no effect on the hotel photo posted by guests on the web. Moreover, I am afraid that you saw our second hotel, Unicus Palace, which has all facilities mentioned by you. In case of mistakes during makinga reservation we are doing our best to move the reservation to the desired hotel, but as far as I know Unicus Palace was fully booked for the period of your resevation. I would like as well to take this opportunity to apologize for any inconvenience occured during your stay in our hotel. We strive every single day to make as memorable stays as possible for our guest. Therefore your comment will be carefully reviewed and with attention of whole team. We stayed at Hotel Unicus for 3 nights in March. Great location very close to Main Square. All staff were incredibly polite and helpful (with 5stars going to Michal) . Due to BA cancelling our flight home we had to stay an extra night which was no trouble in organising. Rooms very clean, bathroom modern. Can be a little noisy outside at night due to location very near bars and clubs but wouldn’t put us off staying again. Very good breakfast offering all dietary options.

Arrived late Tuesday evening.
Patrick ‘the duty manager’ was welcoming, helpful, courteous and polite. His knowledge, guidance and support was greatly appreciated!
Patrick arranged and pre booked all of the popular tourist attractions during our 5 day visit.
The daily tourist attractions ran like clockwork. We were picked up ‘every morning’ in a luxury Mercedes Sprinter coach and taken in comfort to each event. The pick-up and drop off points were at the hotel entrance. Exceptional customer service throughout from all parties involved.
The hotel room and facilities were exceptional clean, tidy, comfortable and relaxing.
The hotel is immaculately kept and cleaned throughout!
Extremely large and comfortable bedroom with the comfiest bed I’ve ever slept in.
The luxurious shower and bathroom were modern, and exceptionally clean and well stocked with shower gels and bathroom consumables.
The domestic cleaning staff do an amazing job throughout!
The cleanliness of the rooms, public spaces, sauna, bar, restaurant, entrance hall and glass elevator are impeccable!

The breakfast’s were delicious and catered for every breakfast taste.
Various types of fresh fruit, cereals, cheese, yoghurts, meats, hams, bread, cakes and freshly cooked breakfast’s made to order.
I really loved the food and the relaxing dining environment that the underground dining hall presents.

The hotel is situated right in the heart of the old town and is central to everything that is happening in Krakow.
I loved staying at this hotel.
I cannot praise the staff and the facilities at the Hotel Unicus enough.
Thank you for all the hard work.
It is very much appreciated.
Thank you.
