Visited Krakow for Christmas Marked for a second time. Compared with other markeds in Europe, we find this to be the best. Lot of quality things to buy, not junk - And Glühwein in tents with heating, is good in cold December.

The old town is an eclectic mixture of buildings and restaurants. You will get fleeced but in a cheaper way than in other countries. See the square, go underground at the cloth hall and do the free tours. In my opinion leave the square after this and explore the rest of Kraków. It is fascinating and cheaper.

The Old Town in Warsaw has a beautiful town square which contains the enigmatic Mermaid statue which is a symbol of Warsaw. You can see its history on Wikipedia of course. Do take a closer look, she has two tails! Is this what makes her a freshwater mermaid? Anyway, it's a great place for a photo of the loved ones....

Krakow Main town market square(Rynek Glowny) was packed with tourists and just too beautiful to describe with its quaint cobblestone road.Horse carriages decorated the main market square periphery with the beautiful maintained horses resplendent in their attire giving tourists a ride along the Old town. The sound of these heavy horse shoes on the cobblestones was akin to classical music to...

Krakow is a very beautiful town and the old part of it is magnificent. There are some very beautiful buildings here. Numerous bars, cafes and restaurants abound but that's not what makes it so special. It just has a lovely feel to it. You could walk around all day and be always stopping to look into places, have a coffee,...

We left our sunny home town in Greece for three days in Poland, two of them in Kraków. Despite the snow the old town drives us to the past. Fantastic architecture, clean streets, many churches, wawel castle. Too many things to see and do that you need to spend at least 4 days in this town. Now we see why...

Me and my partner stayed in the Old Town in November for 3 days, absolutely stunning place, there is so much history and there is plenty to do and see there. There is a great selection of bars and restaurants - even nightclubs! Everything is cheap compared to the UK. There is the option to see the old town on...
