I am very disappointed to leave this review. This hotel should never be allowed to claim 5 stars. The whole experience was a let down. I understand that stars may differ in different countries but even still, this I'd a 3 star hotel at best. The staff were friendly, apart from one who had an attitude problem for some reason every time we spoke to her. They didn't ask if everything was OK and didn't check that we needed anything at all throughout our stay. The room only has one extremely soft weird shaped pillow per person, which might aswell not be there. The beds are comfortable, but all they are is two big singles pushed together. The carpets in the rooms are stained and wallpaper is starting to come off and worst of all for us, the overwhelming smell of cigarettes coming from the downstairs casino is disgusting. Our room stank of cigarettes, so much so my clothes now smell of them. We are both none smokers. The bathroom had a sign on the toilet to say it had been disinfected. Yeah right. There was a hair on the toilet seat?. There was an empty bottle of vodka found behind the chair in the room which I stood on when drawing the curtains and there's a lot of noise from the road. Also, on a night there is a horrible humming noise which kept me awake. I do not expect any of this from a "5 star" hotel. The tea and coffee in the room doesn't have milk? There is no bar apart from in the smokey casino and the breakfast..... you get two eggs, then you can select from the table of warm yoghurts and warm meat, as it has literally been left under the heater. None of it tasted fresh and everything is at room temperature. The staff in the restaurant were friendly and nice people, it isn't their fault as there just following instructions from their managers. I get that it is meant to have a old house theme, but this doesn't excuse horribly stained carpets in the rooms and the constant smell of cigarettes. We didn't see any other guests apart from locals and I find it strange why there are so little reviews on TripAdvisor as of recent. It is 20 minutes from the city centre, however a bolt taxi only costs around £5. My overall opinion is if you want a 5 star hotel. Pay a little extra and get a 5 star. This is NOT what you want when booking 5 star.

Great Reception staff and good check in. Lovely room at rear of the building.Large bathroom with plenty of supplies etc. Breakfast was probably 7 out of 10. Yoghurts were never cold as they were displayed in bowls with no ice .Fruit was fine.Bread was also fine.Coffee served to table and one made your own tea . I would have awarded 4 ratings but we had a bad experience at the hotel bar ?I asked where the bar was and got directed to the basement. We sat at the bar and suddenly a very curt and abrupt lady approached me for papers and passports.I remarked what for and she responded they were needed.I remarked so we need a passport for a drink.I left the bar and went to my room for the passports. In the meantime another lady asked my wife to come out of the bar.I met her on the staircase returning to the room and we decided not to bother with a drink following such treatment. This was a very disturbing incident. Not sure if i would return.

Thank you to the amazing front reception staff that helped us every day with everything. The room was so cosy and cleaned daily ! Our breakfast was included but we had to go on a early morning tour so they provided us with a full pack lunch which was amazing! Thank you!!!

Late on the review for this one! but had to express how grateful i am for all the hotel did for me during my situation over in Poland and how they pretty much helped me return home. During my whole fiasco they provided with both support and a general laugh throughout, so i really appreciate that considering how frequent i was down at the reception! Both Anna and Filip (Sorry if i spelt any names wrong, i lost the note with your names on) on the first couple of nights they were great support and i really enjoyed talking to them throughout and having a laugh despite my predicament. Without either of them the process would've gone much slower and i may have been in a worse position. Anna was always laughing and smiling and stuck with me regardless of the time spent, especially whilst enduring the nightmare trying help me make some calls outside of Poland! After talking with her during my time she works hard both inside and outside of the job which i admire because this showed during my time. Although i didn't get to say bye on the last night to either of them apart from Patryck, it's a shame i couldn't stay longer to at least say a proper farewell to you all. Genuinely one of the highlights of my trip getting to meet them and i will definitely remember them along with Patryck and Wictoria, who equally helped out as much but overall the reception staff in general were fantastic! I hope they will get to see this review anyways. I did get try restaurant as well and enjoyed my meal overall, the tartare was a bit strong but still taste very nice despite. The staff as well although i didn't catch their names were very polite and one of the girls also kindly offered me a drink while i was at reception trying to sort out everything, which i'm thankful for. The room was overall very nice and kept clean daily, didn't have any problems with sleep or noise and the bathroom was filled with any essential i needed. Overall i thought i'd keep this review short but the main reason i'd visit this hotel again is due to the staff themselves that run it and how approachable, talkative and supportive they were.

This hotel is a small hotel that has tried to keep things comfortable without lots of glass and chrome. It has a lot of period furniture. There is a casino in the basement, but it does not bother you when staying there. We had a room overlooking the front of the hotel and we did not get any disturbed sleep, we slept very well every night we stayed. The staff are attentive and will help you with information regarding trips and places to see. One word of caution, this hotel is a little way from the centre of Krakow, but Uber's are cheap and reliable, more so than the taxi's. I would allow approx 50-60 zloty's per day for Ubers to and from the hotel. Our room was very clean and suitable for our needs, plenty of storage space and the bathroom was a decent size and we had fresh towels and bedding every day. We had breakfast everyday and it was very good. I would recommend this hotel to our friends as it is away from the hustle and bustle of the centre and is therefore quiet. Trevora

We visited this restaurant for a treat for my son when we were on holiday. The food and restaurant were awful. We had to ask for a napkin, salt and pepper? The starter pierogi was stodgy and tasteless. My son ordered beef tenderloin for a main and it had thick fat veins through the meat which made him choke and he could not physically eat it, the waitress did not even ask what was wrong when we returned the dish uneaten. I had pike perch which was very dry and the risotto was under cooked and hard. Over priced for the disappointing food and service, we ate out every night we was in Krakow and this was the worst meal.

Wow, what hidden gem. Got a recommendation for the restaurant across the street, but it was busy with an outdoor concert, so gave this place a try... It was wonderful. Food was amazing and service was awesome! PS: It was open for us when we arrived at 9:30pm and stayed open until we finished dessert at 10:40pm :-)

It is nice and stylish hotel - stylized on a manor house from the late 18th century. I visit Kraków for a business 2-3 times a year and usually stay somewhere close to the city centre and Old Town but this time I decided to try a different place - and I am delighted with my choice. The hotel offers good standard of rooms and is conveniently located: not far from the main road, yet it is quiet, as it is on the outskirts of park & garden estate. I have to add that staff is very helpful and friendly.
