Hotel Polski "Pod Bialym Orlem" is a mid-size, private hotel and is in the heart of old Krakow. It is located at the corner of Florianska and Pijarska Streets, in front of the mediaeval defence walls, on which Cracow's painters present their paintings. Our next-door neighbour is the Czartoryski Museum, which houses Leonardo's famous Lady with an ermine. The hotel is one of the oldest in Krakow. For almost 200 years it has been offering accommodation for visitors. Charming, old interiors offer our guests modern amenities, It's only a stone's throw from anywhere here!

Excellent hotel, wonderful staff. Lovely breakfast. Situated in the ideal spot for visiting the main square. The bedrooms are beautifully furnished, with air con and heating. The hotel is everything you want from a hotel. They arrange trips and taxis for you. Would highly recommend.

Dear Mr . Donimirski , This is a humble letter from a guest who had a wonderful time in staying in one of your hotel , the Hotel Polski near St Florian gate. I would like you to know that me and my partner were treated with utmost kindness , the dedication of staff to making our visit comfortable and enjoyable did no go unnoticed. From the warm welcoming smile at the front desk to the impeccable house keeping service , every member of your team played a vital role in ensuring our stay was nothing short of wonderful. The attention to detail , cleanliness and the willingness to go above and beyond to meet our needs truly set your establishment . I must also commend the culinary team for delectable meals we enjoyed at the hotel’s restaurant. The food was not only delicious but served with a level of professionalism and courtesy exceeded our expectations. Pawel the barman was a gem to talk to , he speaks highly of you and I met your daughter serving in the bar with such grace and humility. Your commitment to providing an outstanding guest experience is evident in every aspect of the hotel service. I work as nurse and I travelled Europe for arts , as a nurse I can see care , compassion and commitment in your endeavour helping Ukrainian refugees as a knight of Malta. Your staff surprised me with s bottle of wine for my birthday in my room , a wine made especially for your hotel , by the way , I bought the jams as they are delicious. We left with a lasting impression of your hotel and will certainly recommend it to friends and family . I look forward to returning in the future. Finally , I like to commend Oliwia, Oscar and reception for a job well done. We stayed in numerous hotels before but yours is different, it gives an ambiance and feeling living in a historical building of krakow. Kind Regards , Nicole Barbadillo

Excellent, classy hotel. Nice staff. Perfect location near the last section of the wall that surrounded the city. Excellent quality sleep, comfortable beds and no noise. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to sample the restaurant.

A first class service. This hotel is perfectly located within the old town and the history of the hotel makes it a fascinating place to stay. Rooms are well-equipped and spotlessly clean. The staff are friendly and Will got out of their way to make your stay comfortably. For vegans, there are enough breakfast options, plus an option in the main restaurant. I will certainly return to this hotel.

We stayed for three nights as this small hotel reminiscent of an old fashioned European grand hotel. The location is fabulous, on the edge of the Old Town by the city walls, in easy walking distance from the main square (Rynek Glowny) and most sights, restaurants, bars etc. - except the Wawel castle, but even that is manageable on foot. Reception was friendly and efficient. Our room was not very large but very comfortable and quite elegant, fine if you're out and about most of the day. The bed was comfortable, lighting good, all all the necessary amenities were there : fridge. TV with satellite channels it in foreign languages, a safe, hairdryer and sufficient wardrobe and storage room. Our room was overlooking the back garden, as requested, and very quiet. Only the bathroom left a bit to be desired, and could do with an upgrade. The shower was in the bathtub (with a curtain rather than a screen) which was so narrow it was difficult to turn. The sides of the bath were so high that it was difficult to step into the tub, especially for a very elderly person. The buffet breakfast in the pretty restaurant adjoining the lovely garden was excellent. All the usual cold choices (plus a few hot ones) were available: fruits, juices, cereal, eggs, cheese, cold cuts and so on. There were also some fishy offerings including smoked salmon, some delightful delicacies plus sparkling wine for a celebratory breakfast. Delightful! The staff we encountered were all very pleasant and polite. We loved our stay, and I would chose this lovely hotel again.

The location is unbeatable for walking around the old town. However, not very accessible by taxi. Room was clean and if decent size. There were some issues with Wi-Fi, which didn’t get resolved in our 3-day stay. A very small selection of vegetarian items for breakfast.

Oh, how I so loved staying in this hotel. After getting the family together (3 generations of us) to choose a suitable hotel in Krakow, we were getting nowhere, until I came across this gem of a hotel. One of the most outstanding features of this hotel is that it is full of character and charm and the customer service is absolutely wonderful and nothing is too much trouble. The staff on reception and in the dining hall are so helpful, friendly and welcoming. I'm so glad I chose a hotel that isn't the usual modern, bland, samey hotel. Situated in a historical part of the city, conveniently opposite the wonderful Czartoryski museum (well worth a visit), near to the Rynek Glowny, main market square and Sukiennice (Cloth Hall), yet in a quiet corner, by the Florian Gate. We had a standard double room, which was so very comfortable and my parents took a deluxe room, which provides more space, with a lounge area. The teenagers had a twin room and all rooms were exceptional. The communal areas are large and spacious and the interior is beautifully decorated - as I said before, full of charm. The breakfast provided was fantastic - a lot of choice for everyone, vegetarian and meat eaters alike. There are plenty of cold meats, cheeses, fresh rolls, fruit, cereals and more importantly a lovely hot choice of scrambled eggs with bacon and sausages and occasionally pancakes or 'placki', which are similar to vegetable fritters. Organising taxis for us and providing information on anything from local attractions to a recommendation for a good barber, was no trouble at all. We all agreed at the end of 9 night stay that we will most certainly be returning to this hotel, and this hotel only, when we next visit Krakow. Simply a wonderful stay in a top hotel - we cannot recommend enough!

Fantabulous stay. I always dreamt of staying in a traditional themed hotel and my dream has been fulfilled. A beautiful hotel right next to old town square, shopping and eateries. I saw lot of trip guides showing this hotel to the tourists. The room is ultimate, the decor of the room is so traditional and the best part its so clean. As you enter this hotel you feel like you are entering a castle. As they take you to your room its like a king is going to his room in a castle. The service and the hotel was so good that I booked Aushwitz Birkenau tour through them. I just loved everything about this hotel. If I ever be back to Krakow it has to be Polski Pod Białym Orłem for the stay. in fact I am planning next year with my family and I hope to upgrade myself to a bigger room next time. Receptionists and the service is top notch. Thanks for making my dream come true and for a beautiful stay.
