A great, modern hotel in a central location. This hotel was excellent value for money. The gym and sauna are free to use and a welcomed addition. It’s a 10 minute walk over the bridge to the new part of town, where you’ll find an array of shops, parks and eventually, the train station (30 minute walk away). There’s also the site of the Jewish ghetto and chair memorial, which is worth a look and reflection. In the other direction, you’re a 5 minute walk from the Old Town, where you’ll find the Jewish quarter, lots of great places to eat and drink; you’ll also find Market Square with its beautiful architecture, market stalls, Eros’s fallen head and a little further up, Wawel Royal Castle and the fire breathing dragon. The river runs along here and is a nice amble back to the hotel. The hotel is very modern and the bed was super comfort. Great shower and wide screen HD TV that allows you to connect to your own Netflix and other remote media. The communal areas are light, modern and airy and there’s plenty of places to sit and grab some food or a drink. There is a complimentary tea/coffee/hot chocolate/herbal tea machine that allows you to grab a drink and sit back and relax. Staff were helpful and friendly. The only negative (and this didn’t cause us any issues and we were looking out at it) is that you’re very close to the railway line. You can’t hear the trains at all though.…
Terrible location - opposite a 24 hour night club. I had had enough of trying to sleep at 04:30 and so asked reception to change rooms but they wanted to charge me! There are plenty of other hotels in Krakow so no need to stay here if you enjoy sleeping!
At the check-in the staff was very friendly and i was directly met up by the porter that took my bags. Everytime i passed by the reception, the porter would stand up and greet me with a big smile. Eventhough the Hotel is old (about 200 years) it is very clean everywhere. The room was in superb condition. I always try to think about the environment so i tend to hang up my towels so they don't have to clean them every day...but...i still got new towels every day, perfectly folded with creases like a package. They were very helpful with any question i had. Booked sightseeing (Auschwitz) and helped with a hair salon appointment and various tips. The breakfast was also very nice, more of a polish cuisine style. Most interesting was that they changed alot of dishes every day, so there was always something new to try out. Everything was high end, very nice desserts.…
We liked the hotel a lot. Staff was very friendly, the rooms - clean, the breakfast - above all expectations, delicious and various. The only problem was with Internet connection inside the room, it was awful.
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel, the staff were lovely, breakfast plentiful, excellent quality and the hotel was spotless. Our room had a view onto the rear patio, it had a fridge and the bed was so comfortable. The hotel is situated in a great position for the bars and restaurants but in a quiet part of Krakow. We would certainly stay there again.
We like hotels near train stations and near the most scenic parts of a city. Hotel Polski met those requirements. We were very pleased with the hotel and especially its staff, who were fantastic. The breakfast is wonderful and I recommend this hotel to all international travelers.
Beautifully preserved hotel with period furnishings and decor etc. service excellent throughout especially front desk who were very helpful with a few requests. Breakfast buffet had lots of choices. The larger rooms are huge and very special. Location is great just inside the old city wall but only 7 mins from rail station.
The hotel decor is traditional and it was lovely to see, if not my taste for my house. The staff were great, welcoming and helpful and the location is ideal for exploring the city. The breakfast had a choice of options and a breakfast box is an option for early starts. A fabulous hotel.
We stayed at Hotel Polski as part of our Rick Steves tour. It was wonderful. The room was large with a huge en suite bath, A/C and plenty of room. The breakfast was outstanding! So many things to choose from. (And I really miss the machine where I had a cappuccino at the press of a button.) The staff was very helpful and friendly. Finally, the location was great. It is right next to the fortified wall. It made it very quiet at night but still a quick walk to the square.
I visited here on a solo trip to Krakow. The hotel is perfectly situated just a two minute walk from the main square. It’s tucked away slightly which means that there’s little noise at night. The room that I had was spotlessly clean, had a nice amount of room and was warm at night. You could open the window for air and look out at the old walls. The breakfast was really good. Lots of choice and delicious coffee. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and would definitely return
