The sat-nav had no problem finding the hotel even though there were a couple of unusual turns to get there. Parking was right outside. Very good and helpful welcome, note stairs only to the rooms. Room looked a little small but contained 2 single beds, when we expected a double. She showed us a double room that was even smaller so we stuck with the twin and pushed the two together which made the room seem so much bigger. The beds were comfortable, toiletries were provided and breakfast was nicely presented and cooked. The timing for breakfast was a little early for our personal taste but overall a very enjoyable experience.
The hotel was very clean and the staff very friendly. Our room was a little small but for the price good. Our only problem was the intermittent internet, you would just get connected then it failed. We ate in the restaurant and the food and service were extremely good.
I was staying there two times with a week's gap, and both times in that same room. There's one thing I noticed - the staff doesn't clean under beds, and under my bed there're two beer cans. I also wanted a closed parking and that was the only reason I chose this place, but when I arrived the receptionist told me that it's being repaired at that time.
While this hotel is tucked away and somewhat hard to find, that is more a function of finding sites in Poland in general. This is a recently built hotel with an accommodating staff. We booked one of the larger rooms which was clean, modern with nice bathroom and great shower. There was a problem with some of the lighting and power in the room in a small kitchen space but we did no cooking. While there is no air conditioning, they did have a small fan which did a decent job. There is no elevator and there are three floors. Breakfast was adequate- usual European fare with sliced meats, tomatoes, cheese besides cereal and fruit, tea and coffee. Pricing was great at only $42/nite. There was a very nice restaurant in walking distance- Terra Mare- with a Mediterranean theme- in an unlikely location near a household goods store, behind a fence but wonderful upscale cuisine and excellent menu with fresh pasta, great presentation. We had oysters that were as good as any anywhere! Again, the location of the hotel is off a service drive to a major highway, but it also near the center of the city which has most of the desirable sites and venues.…
This place has been recently renovated , very modern look and loved the smell when you walk in. The staff were great, very friendly, breakfast had a huge selection, clean and spacious rooms. Parking was a plus, this hotel was always full during our stay so it seems like a hit to many locals and tourists.
We’ve been to this hotel after a very difficult search in the Katowice area. It has been very difficult to find a decent and quiet place in all the Katowice area because of the presence of many highways and ring roads all into and around the city !!! Furthermore for somehow reason the hotel offer is very low and bad quality or really expensive if they are. Anyway we found this hotel in the Katowice suburbs about 10min driving from the city center, if there is one. It is quite close to an highway so it is not possible to sleep with open windows BUT windows are soundproof enough ! It has also shutters, which is quite exotic for Poland, in fact I don’t believe many people use it. What it disquiets a little bit is the hotel external building at the entrance. It has a lot of granite paneling that remembered us the entrance of a funeral home. For the rest the hotel is clean and the breakfast is adequate. The price is very competitive. Rooms are clean and quite big, recently furnished ! It is a suggested pace except the entrance as I said ! 2o 3 flowers could finish the entrance masterpiece !…
