Me and my friend staying in hotel (Hotel Diament Spodek, Katowice,Poland). This is to bring to your notice that we are extremely disappointed with the services quality. As we are participating in international badminton tournament, we have to go for practice etc but housekeeping for cleaning so early by 8/9 am and for that we are not quite comfortable. After so many of reminder calls they are not providing us sugar and milk with black tea , and instead of still water they are providing us sparkling water which is not suitable for us . And also we complained about AC and bed as they are creating a lot of noise but they are not taking it seriously. There staff is unable to communicate in English due to which they are unable to provide us proper services, response and support. There services and property are not worthy.…
Simple 3 star hotel. Clean and comfortable. 10 min walk to center. Restaurant very good value and service. Swim pool advertised on website but does not exist. Hotel staff pleasant but do not speak English.
Good value for money and excellent location for Conference Centre. Surprisingly good restaurant for breakfast. Rooms adequate and consistent with the price. Bed rather low but fine. Receptionist always responsive and helpful.
Staff at reception did not know to get to their countries biggest attraction..Auschwitz. Staff don't acknowledge customers at anytime.Had to purchase extra tea, coffee and milk as there were only refilled daily.Hotel does not own the wellness centre and you have to pay extra to use these facilities. Was woken up at 8am by workmen kindly erecting scaffolding outside my room to clean the windows. The rooms were visited daily by house keeping to replace towels etc..but bedding was not changed and not vacuumed. Overall not impressed by this hotel chain..staff need retraining in basic manners.
This hotel is quite good, and I would have loved to give it 4 stars, but the beds are the deal-breaker for me. There are 2 single beds in the room, witch is not a problem, but the matrasses are just too thin to sleep on comfortable for me. Then again, other than that I did like the hotel. Room was not too small, everything looked ok, air-conditioning worked good (it was 22-25 outside ate the time during the day). Did not have much noise (there is a inner door that blocks most noises from the hall). Bathroom was good also. The TV only had Polish channels so nothing for me as a non-Polisch person to follow. Same with all the signs, only Polish, something to improve to attract more international travellers. Location is quite good near the center of town, though the atmosphere of the direct surroundings of the hotel is not really invititing. The hotel restaurant is quite nice for breakfast and not expensive (around 8 euro). Did not try any other meals here...…
Nice hotel in Spodek Katowice. Best location if You are going for event in Spodek or for a concert. 15 minutes walk from Railway station and city center. Quick check in and check out. Big bathroom, kettle with coffee and tea in a room. You can buy a breakfast if You want. Fitness center near hotel. Everything in good condition. Nice and helpful staff.
We were here to see volleybal game during European Championship. Hotel, with breakfast 70 Euro is moderate, modern east European style reception, modest seize simple room, but good functioning, rather modern bath room. Guarded good parking and well functioning WiFi. Staff is efficient, breakfast okay.
We were looking for a good value hotel in the center of Katowice that also had parking and this place was it. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful. The big surprise was the breakfast buffet. We went there with no expectations and were very pleasantly surprised.
I needed a hotel in Katowice for an early morning meeting and I picked this place mostly due to its location between the train station and the place of the meeting. I was expecting a barely renovated communist-era accommodation, but was very pleasantly surprised. The hotel was within walking distance from the train station, but not so close to the train station as to have that bad vibe. Finding it was not a problem, as there were signs around the giant 'ufo building' showing the way to the hotel. I did have to walk through a couple of underpasses under the big traffic circle, but they were well lit and felt perfectly safe. There was a convenient elevator up to the reception and all the rooms were on the same floor so for the first time during my trip to Poland I didn't have to lug my bags up a flight of stairs. Staff was pleasant and the room was clean. Bathroom was modern and plenty large with a shower. The breakfast was in the restaurant and had the usual options. I would stay here again, but I understand that it gets booked up as it's affordable and nice.…
