We have stayed in Macchiato Apartment for 4 nights visiting family. It was perfect for 5 of us (4 adults and a child). Everything nice and clean, kitchen equipped with everything we were needing. 2 bedrooms with double beds and child was able to sleep on sofa in the living room, separate bathroom with shower and toilet, balcony with nice view over the children park. It was my sister in law and her family first visit in Katowice and they absolutely loved it. We will definitely book it again and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone. Thank you for having us.

Second time I have stayed in a Friendly Inn appartment. The flats are kept to a very good standard and on arrival are spotless. Yep there are no toiletries provided and I did have to wash up and empty the rubbish. I expect all this because I am not staying in an hotel. The communal areas are kept extremely clean as are the gardens. As the complex is gated it felt really secure. The place is quiet. Its not a five star hotel but for my two week stay I felt very much at home and was able to relax after dental appointments. It was very late and cold on the night of my arrival this time and the lady had even gone to switch the heating on so I would be comfy. This sort of kindness is always appreciated. There is a small shop on site and not five minutes walk away .is a Tesco extra and an extremely modern shopping mall. There is a taxi rank outside the mall too which is very handy. When coming to Katwice again these apartments wii be my first choice of accomodation. Thank you the owners and their staff for keeping the place so well.

I stayed in one of the Friendly Inn apartments in Katowice during a dental treatment (there is an excellent dental practice in the next building and they booked the apartment for me). I was fairly impressed when I saw it for the first time, though I knew from past experience that I was paying a premium for 'luxury' here (in my time in Poland before the very economical rooms were often excellent and the more you payed for luxury the meaner the service seemed to be). As time went by I saw this wasn't very luxurious, the floors under the furniture weren't cleaned, the bed was much too big for the small room, there was a lot of noise from neighbours and people building (this is part of a complex still unfinished). There were no instructions on how to work the hob or ovens; like Damian, the previous reviewer, I was shocked at the lack of any thought given to basic things like soaps. But, well, the dental treatment took precedence and as it was only a minute away and it was a quite involved treatment, I thought it worth staying, though I was unhappy to have to pay up front in advance (this should always raise one's suspicions). For a Brit, there is also the joy of a huge Tesco over the road, so intriguing with all the Polish delicacies etc. Then the wifi went off, but was put right by the manager just unplugging the modem and back on. Then after a few days the wifi was off again, and then it was Sunday and the manager's day off (I kid you not - at this price he should always be on call I reckon), but by Monday teatime he got me back online having bought more transfer time from the wifi bods in town. 18 hours later it was off again, and after a number of phone calls and 3 hours being fed a tea of tripe, he texted me to say 'transfer rate was exceeded again' but I would be online at midnight. He wouldn't answer his phone, so I had to text my unhappiness, and he then pretended it was something to do with the supplier rather than him too mean to pay for a proper contract. Dear oh dear. And the silly thing is he must know that I have to return to the dentist to complete the treatment in a few months; it will be winter and his apartments will be empty and he knows there won't be a second time for me.

I stayed here two nights and wasn't expecting what I've seen on arrival. Girl who handed in keys was very nice and helpful. I met her outside the building and she welcomed me very friendly. She explained how to get around and then asked me to follow her. On the corridor outside the apartment you could smell this horrible odour (its was definitely pet's odour). When we entered the flat (I don't want to call that apartment) I have noticed that sofa was broken and all bedding was lying outside. Also sofa was stained and you could smell nicotine. The girl was surprised and definitely not aware of it. Domestic staff never informed anyone about this issue. Also light was not working and there was visible damage on it (looked like someone had a great party there). One of the socket was hanging off the wall what was safety issue. There was not soap or shower gel provided. I was quite angry and ask to speak to the owner or manager who look after this property. Staff was unable to contact them and advised that someone will give me a call in the evening. Later that day I've noticed that also privacy in this apartment was very poor. There was no blinds or curtains in the kitchen window and after the shower I have to be dressed when going out of the bathroom as other people was standing on the balconies until very late night (it was hot summer) and easily could see everything what is going on in your apartment.I was still waiting for any contact from the owner however without any result. Eventually I've managed speak to someone after my complaint to the customer service from the website which I used to book this apartment. Owner was unhelpful and I've been left without any solution. Next day someone else phoned me and explained that she is owner of this flat and I should speak to her and not with her husband. She was quite rude and also unhelpful. Also please remember that it is quite noisy area as there is many children around. I was also shocked that they ask me to wash all the dishes in the kitchen and take rubbish out when checking out. It was unacceptable. The don't provide dishwasher detergent so you need to buy your own capsules!!!! Apartment is well overpriced and you could find better place to stay in katowice and also much cheaper. After two nights I moved to Mlynska 15 Apartment and it was great decision. Please see some photos as a proof of my experience.

I've stayed several times in Chocolate and Espresso apartments. They are very comfortable, clean and modern and the Friendly Inn staff are great. Free high speed wi-fi, and all the ameneties provided in the flats make for a great, relaxing stay.
