One of the better Mecure Hotels I have stayed at BUT they are inconsistent and vary widely from city to city.

This building was well located with nice room, nice restaurant and nice staff.

The rooms AC was basically useless BUT the windows opened fully which allowed a nice breeze in. I slept with the windows open.

Here are the inconsistencies:
No iron in room, they wont bring you one either, No wash cloths in bathroom, No true bedspread on top of bed, No safe in room, No fan available, peeling paint in shower. Pics attached.

Mecure needs to work on their consistency. You never know what you'll get with this company.

Overall? This was a nice property in Czestochowa. I might stay again.

Classic room (not big at all, but classic size of this type of hotel, good for a weekend), unfortunately separate beds, but quite comfortable. The room is simply standard. I was very pleased with the bathtub in the bathroom. The location is absolutely excellent, the center, right next to the main street (Alley of the Most Holy Virgin Mary) - the one that leads to Jasná Gora

What I disliked : the smell of incense in the room, separate beds

the room was clean, the bed was comfy, the breakfast buffet was great, selections from both US and European styles. Why just AVERAGE - their wi fi was non existent - at least in room 414, where I stayed. When I came down to the lobby, it connected. By the time I got back to my room, it was disconnected. The front desk said sorry. My only way of contacting Family and Friends was thru email - I need wi fi that works.

We had a pleasure of having our weeding reception at the hotel. We couldn't have chosen better. It was an excellent location, great service and amazing food, all value for money. The restaurant manager Mr Tomasz Szeląg was very helpful and arranged everything perfectly. Every single guest asked us to send compliments to the chef as there was a true abundance of food, it was delicious and very nicely served. We loved it all. Most of the guests stayed at the hotel after the reception and they all were very pleased with their stay.

We would like to say a big thank you to Mr Szeląg for making that day so perfect for us.
A great experience.

I spent 4 nights with my girlfriend on the hotel and we loved it! Workers were so kind and nice with us and our room was big, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed also a great view to Jasna Góra, perfect location to go there and also to the city centre. And breakfast was so good! I'd recommend it 100%

Coming to Mercure Czestochowa for the second summer with my family. We love this hotel - its convenient location, comfort, and the cordial attention and help from pani Ewa, pani Kasia, pani Klaudia, and pani Ania from the reception desk. Thank you ladies - you made us feel at home.

We stayed at this hotel as it is supposed to be the best in the area.

There is a disco next door that plays very loud music until 2.00 in the morning.

There is no air-con - it was 35 degrees so we had to open the windows.

This is not up to ACCOR usual standards

Having spent 8 days in the ibis in Częstochowa before Arriving here,I was looking forward to the location and convenience of this mercure hotel,I wanted to see the new year celebrations in the centre of the city.
On arrival I was mildly disappointed,I thought I was walking into a shopping mail, there are shops to the right of reception,Jasna góra is virtually just across the road so seems pointless.
I had booked a suite and reception was quick and polite and booked us in without problem, good clear information regarding breakfast and restuarant times.
Sadly from here on,my stay I can only describe was shocking poor and for a mercure hotel very disappointing.
On entering the lift I'd recommend keeping your coat on in the winter, when staying the weather outside was minus 10 and inside the lift it felt the same, the lift shift was clearly drawing in cold air from somewhere, maybe because of the maintenance on-going in the hotel?.
The corridor my suite was on was clearly being used by smokers, the corridor stunk of stale old smoke, and even on entering my suite you could still smell it.
My room being a suite was actually rather big,you had two rooms which were separated by sliding doors, which meant having guests over to our room you could close the bedroom off,the room had two toilets, the main bathroom was a pleasant surprise and a good size.
Now for the negatives of the room, clearly people had been smoking in the bathroom, there were cigarette burn marks above the sink and a big candle burn on the edge of the bath, and because of the smoking issue going on throughout the hotel, the bath towels also smelled of stale smoke, also not classy to see a member of reception with the fire door half open by the lifts having a smoke.
Getting back to room room, you can tell when a hotels in decline when you see scuffed 80's cheap mahogany coloured furniture in your room, great idea but just made the room look like my grandmas house, very old fashioned which is a shame because the room is a good size.
When your staying in the most expensive hotel in Częstochowa, you would expect when the weather is in zero figures and snowing to have a warm room,no,the room had a air conditioning unit that didn't work and a radiator in each room which neither worked properly due to poor maintenance, hot at top and cold at bottom, anybody with basic knowledge knows that they just needed bleeding, the other issue with the radiators was that the room comes with thick curtains which actually covers them when closed,so the room gets no heat.
When complained to reception we were fobbed off with excuses, only on second complaint were we given a little fan heater, not good enough when your paying a lot of money for a suite and your Accor hotel card member.
The room when it came to cleaning was poor, dust on the light above the bed, dust inside wardrobes but biggest issue was the bare wire coming from the extension by the side of my bed, massive health and safety issue.
Next issue, every time we left the room,on arriving back we had to go back to reception to get the keys to work again so to gain entry, you may think I'm being petty about this but when your not having a great stay the little things really start to annoy.
On to the restuarant, good luck if your hung over, the carpet in there makes you feel sea sick if you stare at it,but on a positive, even though the restuarant was cold, compliments to the chef, the meal I had was fantastic, the Angus steak was amazing and cooked too perfection, yeh positive for hotel.
I had a beautiful New Years eve in Częstochowa, but after getting to bed at 3 in the morning and remembering to put my "do not disturb" sign out,I got a unwelcome phone call from house keeping asking if she could come in and clean my room!!!! Politely told no!!
I did complain on social media and I will say thank you to accor hotels for quickly responding and apologising for the poor service and stay I recieved, also for the apology for breaking the data protection act and putting my email address on social media too!!
And finally,if the generally manager responds by saying that the situation was different to what actually happened, then I will quite happily tag my photos for my visit to this review.
As a Accor loyal member, this isn't what I expect and no apology will make up for the lack of empathy or integrity from the generał manager or your team in your hotel.
Congratulations,as general manager of mercure Częstochowa,You have the honour of my worst review ever.
The sad thing is that an ibis hotel just a few miles away and its a hundred times better, accor should feel pleased that at least they have one great hotel in Częstochowa.

Only location, both close to the monastery and to the down town could be the strength of this hotel. The rest is unsatisfied. The room, I had, was very small, with noisy and ineffective AC, the window curtains in terrible orange colour, not helping for sleeping in the summer sunny morning and bed with huge and useless for me pillow. The staff tries to be helpful, not always with the good result. The breakfast was very standardised, poor looking and not encouraging for eating.
Paradoxically, Ibis Czestochowa, the second hotel of Accor Group in this town, rated with two stars only, seems to me, as a much better option for lodging.

Ciao, diciamo che il Mercure è tra gli hotel più vicini, si attraversa una strada e si percorre il vialone, senza auto, che porta dritto al Santuario. Secondo me sarà lontano 300-400 metri.
