Our room was amazing with a spacious sitting area that held a sofa, chair, and table. It was also great to sit on the large balcony and take in the beautiful surroundings. My only regret is not staying here longer. The pool, jacuzzi, tepidarium, salt cave, and sauna were all included free of charge along with an excellent breakfast buffet with more choices than you can imagine. We also enjoyed tasty dinners in the dining room along with lighter fare at the cafe bar. I couldn't resist booking one of their spa treatments and it did not disappoint. I hope to return for the Ayurveda treatment. I hear it's the best and I must give it a try. The grounds are very nice with areas to sit and read or just relax. You can also go hiking just a few minutes walk from the hotel. We also journeyed into downtown and walked the city center where there is loads of history and shopping.
The staff here is just amazing. Everyone treated us so well. I have to especially say Thank You to Robert who was incredibly kind and helpful. He went out of his way to make our stay very special. He is full of great suggestions and information. He gave us top care. You can't go wrong staying at Papuga Park Hotel. It is full of must-see and do experiences!
To start we asked for a room for 3 people and instead they gave us a room for 2 people with an additional not confortable portable rack. We only discovered the last day that there was a sofa that could have been opened to serve as a real bad. Besides rooms are very dark and it’s the same for the restaurant which deserves as well some redecoration.
However food is really delicious and fresh. A big thanks to Misses Ewa who hosted us in the bar.
As for spa & wellness area, we didn’t have a chance because there were many families with children who were noisy and jumped into the water even if forbidden, but there was no one to pay attention on that and to guarantee this place to be calm and peaceful as it should be.
On top they canceled my spa treatment the night before my arrival without proposing any solution. I had to call the spa manager the next morning to explain that the point of coming to the spa & wellness hotel is also to be able to enjoy the spa treatment. In the end they luckily found a solution. Big thanks to Miss Kinga who took care of me. She is really amazing.
However it’s not the end as my father was having a massage the same day. I asked for an energetic massage and when he came they thought that it was a relaxing one. Luckily Mister Vitaly adapted very quickly and in the end everything was fine.
In a nutshell, the hotel has still many improvements to work on.
Our room was amazing, with a balcony overlooking the gardens and was very large and comfortable. I couldn't have asked for more.
The facilities were top notch! The bar was comfortable, cozy and the wait staff was very prompt and helpful. You could sit outside in the garden or inside, and it was great both ways.
The breakfast buffet was absolutely first rate, with an amazing selection of hot and cold foods. If you get the chance, ask for the vanilla creme filled pancakes. They were truly delicious. The decor was comfortably elegant and refined, but not unbearably stuffy. A great atmosphere. We also had dinner here, and the food was well prepared and generous, with good flavors and selection.
But the best part was the Makaresh spa. It was truly a sight to behold. The pool was spectacular, with accent lights reflecting off of the ceiling. The jacuzzi was just the right size and almost too relaxing after a day of seeing the sights. The treatments were first class, with many different options to choose from.
The spa is themed on Makaresh, Morocco, with intricate mosaic tiles providing an authentic ambiance. You really don't want to miss the sauna and unique salt cave.
This place is highly recommended.
Robert was the best! He took special care of us, and it was truly appreciated. What a wonderful experience.
The surroundings of the hotel are not very nice, nothing interesting is within reach.
The hotel policy insists on leaving hotel until 11:00, the wellness is no longer accessible.
Apart for some of the staff being so caring and nice, the Spa and swimming pool are what keep this place at float online. The night pub Granda terrible service, only cares about big spenders, will keep you waiting forever.
Rather spend my money somewhere else, sorry to be so forward.
Good range of paid spa treatments.
Hotel rooms are in different standards - the better and larger are called comfort plus and are easily at 4/5 star level standard. Free wifi.
