Location is ideal to access most areas of interest as well as amenities of the village center. Nicely designed public areas and attractive pool if a little small. Great Breakfast. Standard rooms are on the small side so would recommend looking at upgrade options. . But no safe is provided in room which is a surprise for a Hotel of this standard. Also surprised that bicycles are not provided at preferential rates to guests (in fact more expensive than available outside) :
But unfortunately the second morning (the 13rd August) around 5 am the workers started to make the new asphalt in front of my room waking me up and making impossible to sleep.
This isn't acceptable in any serious Hotel and especially in Żubrówka being a 4 stars one and especially in a touristic and hotel area (by the way according the protected quiet hours in the whole EU it's forbidden).
When I protested during the check Out I underlined I shouldn't be charged for the second night (as happens in any serious hotel in EU) and for sure no local charges for the Municipality because they weren't able to guarantee to their unique value, the hotel guests and the tourists, the quiet and relax they are looking for and for which they are paying. The hotel concierge responsible very gentle wasn't able to decide anything returning to me both the suffered problem and the full payment. For this inability the hotel can't be judged more than 2 stars.
Awesome Rooms & team service.
SPA LA PERLA is wonderful and People very professional, very good consulting. Hotel love animals 🦮🐕🦺🐈⬛🐈
See you soon! Thank you
Now, let me state that I gave it five stars for the overall experience, which was excellent. The room itself was of a high European standard (though with no climate control I could find, save for opening a window), but not 5 stars on an international scale. However, the rest of the hotel was fantastic. So take my review with this caveat.
First, the indoor pool "complex"--my wife raved about it, and it provided hours of entertainment for our kids (and allowed me to get some work done). Second, the hotel has a nice playroom for small children on the second floor, as well as a nightclub, cigar bar, and what appears to be an extensive spa. We did not avail ourselves of the latter three amenities, so I cannot comment on them.
However, we did eat twice at the restaurant, which really impressed me. The food was excellent for lunch and for breakfast, and the service attentive and extremely welcoming without being "too much." We also called down late the second night to see if they could make us a "take-away" dinner, as our two-year old was very fussy and we did not want to bring her into the restaurant or wait for room service. The manager very graciously obliged.
In fact, the breakfast buffet (which is included in the room rate, a fact that was lost on me until our second day there--not sure why, but the receptionist did not mention this to me when checking in, or perhaps I simply missed it as I was exhausted during check-in and speaking Polish, not my native language) is AMAZING. Let me repeat: simply AMAZING. Usually I am not a fan of buffets, but this one was impeccably clean, featured superb variety, and was delicious. You could easily eat enough to tide you over for the whole day, which makes the price of the room a real deal, in my opinion. In short, this was the best buffet, featuring hot and cold items, that I have ever seen. It would have been impressive to find this level of selection and service in London or NYC, but in Bialowieza? It simply blew us away.
In conclusion, this is easily the nicest accommodation available in Bialowieza, and I highly recommend it. I should also mention that is is literally steps away from the local tourist bureau, where you can book trips into the nature reserve, carriage rides, and a host of other adventures.
There was just a walking distance from the hotel to the beautiful national park and the Bialowieza museum. We took the bicycles to the bison reservation which was a nice ride through the forest.
All in all, excellent hotel experience in a unique location. Thank you!
+ Comfortable rooms
+ Excellent breakfast
+ On two nights of our stay a buffet dinner was included in our rate; the food wasn't great, but the live accordion music was pleasant
+ Some free parking near the hotel is available, and if that is full you can use a free lot down the street
- The paid parking is very expensive
- Rooms are on the small side
- Towels are a bit worn out
Where meals are concerned, breakfast is an unbelievable spread, you are spoilt for choice. Lunch and dinner however were very very very slow. I'm not sure on other choices to eat in the area but that would definitely be something I would do if I ever went back to Bialowieza.
All in all not bad at all.
