The apartment was beautify, modern and cosy. The location was very nice, walking distance to the city centre and located right next to a beautiful park. My only negative comment is that the flat we rented was on the 4th floor with no elevator, so we had to carry the luggage all the way up, plus our dog as well, and me having a bad back it was too much for me! It should have been written clearly when we booked the flat that it was on the 4rh floor we no elevator! Also, the Internet did work, we called the reception who said they would look into it, but it didn't work the remaining of our stay.
We only stayed in Szczecin for one night, but this room was amazing! Very large room, kitchen, laundry, comfortable beds, very clean and modern. The room we had faced the front, which does get a rather large amount of noise from the commuter train outside, but the windows mask the noise beautifully if they're closed. There's just no enjoying open windows out front from this room. This location is about a 20-25 minute walk to old town, so prepare to walk or find the public transport.
Nice apartment with all you need, interior is good looking, but cheap quality. Location good, but to much noise from the tram. They also have apartments placed in other areas of the city, i would rather go there next time, but only because of the noise. Breakfast buffet is quite good considering the price of 30zloty.
I have stayed at this aparthotel for three nights in June 2019. It is one of the reviews I do with lots of joy because the stay was serene and pleasant. Here is what the hotel does right: - the staff is very friendly and proactive. I was asked by message when I will arrive and someone was there to wait at reception with the key; - the apartments (actual door between sleeping and living room, with an actual kitchen stocked with utensils) are *very* specious. Add a library and I wouldn’t mind living in one long-term myself. The building is somewhat like a Viennese central apartment condominium, but with an elevator (doors are also wide making it accessible as well). The furniture is simple, straight lines, modern in appearance, a lot of wood, with the ‘new furniture’ smell. Apart from the kitchen with utensils and cooking / dishwasher (though no microwave), they also have large flatscreen tv, a separate couch, dining table with chairs, and a sufficient clothes drawer. My room also had a balcony, but the view was nothing to write home about (inner courtyard). However, for smokers the balcony is the designated and available place; - there are sufficient light fixtures to provide a very nice atmosphere, as well as plugs all over the place. Internet was fast and permanent. The TV has Polish programs on cable and lots of foreign ones on sattelite. Water heat & pressure are very good, with individual boilers for each apartment. Good to know: - there is a 10 minute walk from the hotel to the place where the airport minibus stops (to appreciate distance). The hotel is literally in the center of town with everything accessible on foot on leisurly walks; - right behind the hotel there is a pedestrian area with ‘Potato & Company’ joint which was founded in the city; - *when looking for the hotel look attentively!* there is no sign sticking out. The name of the hotel is in an entry archway, visible, but only if you actually look at it, otherwise you can pass by it easily. Look instead for the red sign saying “Gal-Met” as it sticks out into the street, right next to the hotel entry; - I did not try their breakfast but it is available 7-10 am for 30 PLN in the -1 floor next to reception; - this is a *self-catering* hotel. Apart from a welcome water bottle and cookie you will find nothing to drink / eat. Buy your own at one of the many convenience stores nearby (Zabka, the local staple, opens 6-23). Same for toiletries and other consumables. Negatives. I should mention two negatives that stick out, and why I gave 4 stars instead of 5: 1. Sound isolation: while there were no sounds from the street, the *internal* soundproofing of the hotel leaves some to be desired. One can hear the cleaning staff in the morning even without the vacuum on. Laughing and walking in the staircase as well. Even sometimes TVs. Sturdy doors give a sense of security though, so it is just a minor nuisance, and there are no parties / restaurant; 2. Curtain privacy: the way the curtains are set (at a significant distance from the windows) makes it impossible to block the sun, or neighbor’s eyes if you have a balcony. The balcony is shared, divided with plant pots. It is possible for your window front to correspond to someone else’s share of the balcony. Bottom line: don’t walk around naked. All in all, I loved this hotel for the large amount of space, nice furniture and good atmosphere and I would gladly return.…
We booked this one last-minute and weren't disappointed. Very spacious, freshly re-designed and furnished, this place was a gem! Check-in was easy, we paid 45€ for one night, and we couldn't have slept any better. Location is quite central and parking is free (closed gate!).
