Hotel Haffner was a great hotel! Hotel and rooms were clean and nicely decorated. Staff was very professional and helpfull! They arranged transport between hotel and airport when we arrived and left. We also got breakfast to go even in short notice. We definitely have to come back as soon as possible! Special thanks to Ernest! He gave such a good service! Keep up with the good work!

This really is a very good hotel. It might like to think it’s five stars but certainly is not. However the staff are some of the best I’ve seen - friendly but very professional - from the receptionists through to the restaurant and bar staff. My only criticism would be the coffee at breakfast which is a commercial machine both tasteless and cold. Any self respecting five star hotel (it’s not!!!) would serve fresh ground coffee in individual cafetières at the very least. I would be happy to stay here again but bring my own coffee!!

Dear Mr. Steve, Thank you for your recent stay and thank you for taking the time to write such a great review. We are passionate about hosting, and your compliments to our service is very well received - thank you very much. We see you are passionate about your coffee - and we are too! Our breakfast is as you mention served Buffet style, but our waiters are there to serve you a choice of freshly made options from the kitchen if this is more to your liking - including freshly brewed coffee. You have the option to order a variety of coffee types from our Barista, in which utilise a high-end Italian 'Elektra' coffee machine. We have the same machine in our Lobby Bar for that afternoon cup, and we have Nespresso machines in all of our rooms and suites for a complimentary morning self-brew. We regret this was not made clear for you during your stay, but please take advantage on your next visit. With the kindest regards,

Don't be fooled that it says 5 star hotel. it is the worst experience we have been through. The receptionist is so rude. the rooms are so disgusting and stink and they refuse to change rooms and let us sleep with the dirt. the breakfast is not good at all!! I will never set my foot here again!

Dear Ms. Jessika, It is unfortunate that you are currently not enjoying your stay because of a smell in your room upon arrival, and disheartened that you are not recognising to the extent we have positioned ourselves and to compensate you to make you feel comfortable. We absolutely understand a carpeted room shared by three adults in one of the hottest days recorded in Sopot may have a stuffy odour and all of our team have been working to better accommodate you. As you are already aware we were fully booked the night you arrived and had no other room to move you to until the next morning, but we ensured a full deep-clean of your room and carpet that evening. You have been treated with complimentary breakfast, lunch and all-day access to our private beach, and all of our staff have been very attentive to you the whole way to show you a good time. Our team are treating you with the outmost respect and only wish you and your friends to be well, and we are saddened to see your apparent response to several hotel departments goodwill and care. Regards, Anine Marketing and Guest Services Manager, Haffner Hotel

The hotel itself is well located - near to the beautiful beach, the pier, the lighthouse and to various bars, restaurants and shops - plus only 15 minutes walk to the train station (from here you can get to Gdansk, Oliwa, Malbork etc). All the staff were very polite and helpful (I also managed to get an early check-in and a late check-out at no charge). Lobby area relaxing and pleasant, bar service was good, spa area decent (large pool - little cold for me, warm spa bath and decent sauna) and whole hotel was clean and smelt lovely. I had a twin room (sharing with one of my sons) and found it to be well appointed, clean, plenty of storage, decent quality toiletries, and comfortable beds (only minus was no English channels on TV at all apart from one news channel and no milk to go with the tea or coffee). Overall I had a really enjoyable stay here.

Dear amieb02, Thank you for your recent stay with us. We appreciate your review and apologize we were not able to accommodate your request for twin beds upon your arrival. We hold limited amount of twin bed rooms in our hotel, therefore a twin bed request is never a guarantee with us, even though we try our outmost to accompany every request. The particular afternoon you stayed we did offer you a room move to a twin bed room which had become available after a late check-out, and we are sorry you refused our offer to accommodate you better. Haffner Hotel have a few number of accessible friendly rooms called Family Rooms, and these rooms feature walk-in showers in which you mention. By contacting us directly prior to arrival we would be able to provide the necessary guidance on which rooms to book to suit your needs whilst staying with us. As Haffner Hotel has recently undergone a major shift in its Operations, we aim to improve, and your feedback has been noted. We hope to see you again here at Haffner Hotel on your next vacation, and we wish you a great summer ahead. All the very best, Anine Marketing & Guest Services Manager, Haffner Hotel Sopot

I stayed in Haffner with my family (my wife and two kids 3 and 6 year old). Personal was very kind and tried to assist in all what we need. Especially I am grateful to Jacob Samson who during the whole day looked for wallet of my wife which she lost and finally find it. Our ID cards were inside this wallet and it could be big challenge for us to lost it in out last day of hosting.

I rarely post, but in this case I did. The pictures on their site are very deceiving, the pool is very basic, the place is located in the middle of a neighborhood and it's much smaller than what the pictures represent. This is NOT a 4 star hotel!!!!! A very BASIC room (I had to take a double take from the pictures and what I actually got), small shower, and breakfast is equally basic. Prices are expensive here. Roomservice tried charging me 80 PLN for less than a liter of water!!!! If you are looking for luxury this is not your place. Is the hotel bad overall, absolutely not. It was very clean, the staff was pleasant and it is easy to get to. However, for the price of $150.00 a nite, you can find much nicer places… THere are 3 star hotels on the beach for less than this price….. They advertised a private beach but when I asked, oh it's closed. We had to use another hotel's beach which served drinks. It's the little things that you expect from a place that is rated 4 stars which is equivalent to the Sheraton, Hilton, etc… Top tier hotels…. Look elsewhere.

I have made a reservation w/o an option to cancel. Nowhere did it say that the entire wellness, pool and saunas are going to be closed and that there is renovation going on in the hotel. This is not how you should treat the guests and not providing such information during a booking is just shameless. I only received an email after the booking (which i prepaid) w/o option to cancel Very bad experience even before coming over.

Dear Guest, Thank you very much for sharing your opinion with us even before you arrive at the Hotel. In case of not receiving the information about the works being carried out, we would also feel disappointed in your place. Please note however, that a message regarding a technological break in our Spa Institute was placed on the portal you used during the reservation and we sent the information again afterwards to make sure that the Guest received this message. It is not our intention to take advantage of the fact that this information has escaped your attention, so even before your arrival, we have proposed three solutions: cancellation of your reservation at no extra cost, postponing it to another date, and if you decide to come, we will be very pleased to offer you swimming pool and sauna tickets in the nearby Aquapark. In order to provide our services at the highest level, once a year we conduct a technological break at the Spa Institute. This is a planned activity, therefore we take great care to inform about the works in advance to avoid inconvenience. However, if this message has been overlooked by the Guest, we always suggest the most advantageous solution, because we would like to make sure that you rest and relax with us first of all. And this time I sincerely hope that this initial misunderstanding will turn into a successful stay now or at another time when the pool is fully accessible. You are always and warmly welcome! Greetings, Emilia Szczuko Guest Relations Manager
