Detailed Reviews
Really great place to stay. Starting from booking experience, sales team was very responsive I had all the info I needed to book and transfer the money - through check in, parking and all of the aspects of our stay (there were seven of us, three rooms altogether). Xmas festivities were really cool, food was great both taste and selection (local and international). Rooms spacious just enough. Big enough pool, clean water. Awesome steam room and sauna. I will definitely consider our stay there in the summer. Many thanks to the whole team! Great job !

This really is a very good hotel. It might like to think it’s five stars but certainly is not. However the staff are some of the best I’ve seen - friendly but very professional - from the receptionists through to the restaurant and bar staff. My only criticism would be the coffee at breakfast which is a commercial machine both tasteless and cold. Any self respecting five star hotel (it’s not!!!) would serve fresh ground coffee in individual cafetières at the very least. I would be happy to stay here again but bring my own coffee!!

Dear Mr. Steve, Thank you for your recent stay and thank you for taking the time to write such a great review. We are passionate about hosting, and your compliments to our service is very well received - thank you very much. We see you are passionate about your coffee - and we are too! Our breakfast is as you mention served Buffet style, but our waiters are there to serve you a choice of freshly made options from the kitchen if this is more to your liking - including freshly brewed coffee. You have the option to order a variety of coffee types from our Barista, in which utilise a high-end Italian 'Elektra' coffee machine. We have the same machine in our Lobby Bar for that afternoon cup, and we have Nespresso machines in all of our rooms and suites for a complimentary morning self-brew. We regret this was not made clear for you during your stay, but please take advantage on your next visit. With the kindest regards,

I stayed in Haffner with my family (my wife and two kids 3 and 6 year old). Personal was very kind and tried to assist in all what we need. Especially I am grateful to Jacob Samson who during the whole day looked for wallet of my wife which she lost and finally find it. Our ID cards were inside this wallet and it could be big challenge for us to lost it in out last day of hosting.

I rarely post, but in this case I did. The pictures on their site are very deceiving, the pool is very basic, the place is located in the middle of a neighborhood and it's much smaller than what the pictures represent. This is NOT a 4 star hotel!!!!! A very BASIC room (I had to take a double take from the pictures and what I actually got), small shower, and breakfast is equally basic. Prices are expensive here. Roomservice tried charging me 80 PLN for less than a liter of water!!!! If you are looking for luxury this is not your place.
Is the hotel bad overall, absolutely not. It was very clean, the staff was pleasant and it is easy to get to. However, for the price of $150.00 a nite, you can find much nicer places… THere are 3 star hotels on the beach for less than this price…..
They advertised a private beach but when I asked, oh it's closed. We had to use another hotel's beach which served drinks. It's the little things that you expect from a place that is rated 4 stars which is equivalent to the Sheraton, Hilton, etc… Top tier hotels….
Look elsewhere.

I have made a reservation w/o an option to cancel. Nowhere did it say that the entire wellness, pool and saunas are going to be closed and that there is renovation going on in the hotel.
This is not how you should treat the guests and not providing such information during a booking is just shameless.
I only received an email after the booking (which i prepaid) w/o option to cancel
Very bad experience even before coming over.

Dear Guest, Thank you very much for sharing your opinion with us even before you arrive at the Hotel. In case of not receiving the information about the works being carried out, we would also feel disappointed in your place. Please note however, that a message regarding a technological break in our Spa Institute was placed on the portal you used during the reservation and we sent the information again afterwards to make sure that the Guest received this message. It is not our intention to take advantage of the fact that this information has escaped your attention, so even before your arrival, we have proposed three solutions: cancellation of your reservation at no extra cost, postponing it to another date, and if you decide to come, we will be very pleased to offer you swimming pool and sauna tickets in the nearby Aquapark. In order to provide our services at the highest level, once a year we conduct a technological break at the Spa Institute. This is a planned activity, therefore we take great care to inform about the works in advance to avoid inconvenience. However, if this message has been overlooked by the Guest, we always suggest the most advantageous solution, because we would like to make sure that you rest and relax with us first of all. And this time I sincerely hope that this initial misunderstanding will turn into a successful stay now or at another time when the pool is fully accessible. You are always and warmly welcome! Greetings, Emilia Szczuko Guest Relations Manager

The location is really fantastic: You walk 5min. to the beach and 10min. to the city centre. The breakfast is truly yummy, there's nothing they don't serve.
Staff are very friendly and accommodating.
Why I won't visit again: Old fashioned bathroom with blocked drain, very slippery bath tub and faucet with separate warm and cold water installation. Thin walls: When other guests walk past your room it feels like they're actually in the room. The lobby music plays 24/7 with a speaker in the back yard where our room was facing. We had to sleep with window closed and aircon on and I had the worst sleep ever. The receptionist told us there's nothing they can do, it's just how the music system works. This is, sorry to say, stupid. You need to let your guests sleep and I can't imagine we were the first ones complaining. And, one minor remark, this is the first hotel that offers coffee in the room but no milk.

Dear 744annas, Thank you for your recent visit, and thank you for taking the time to write about your experience. It is great to see you enjoyed our location in Sopot, and the quick commute to both the beach and the city centre. We thank you for your compliments about our breakfast offering and our general service. It is unfortunate you experienced an uncomfortable night, with noise disrupting you. The music you heard from outside your window must have been from our restaurant as it was hosting a live music night event, but music normally stops around 9:30pm and you could most certainly have slept with your window open during the night. We have equipped all rooms with brand new Nespresso machines with a selection of pods for your convince for a morning coffee. In Poland it is not custom to use dry milk patches, but we offer the opportunity to order fresh milks from Room Service if you would like to dress your coffee. We are all found of a morning brew, and have ample of coffee selections within the hotel to cater to any coffee lovers preferences. We wish you a lovely week ahead, and hope to welcome you back soon again so we can ensure you get a better rest next time. With warm regards, Anine, Marketing and Guest Services Manager, Haffner Hotel & Spa

I stayed at Hotel Haffner in Sopot, Poland, during a business trip in September. While the hotel itself is not very new, it met all my basic needs and the staff was quite accommodating. I did experience a bit of a wait when ordering food, which could be improved. However, the location of the hotel is truly its standout feature, offering easy access to local attractions and beautiful surroundings. Overall, it provided everything required for a comfortable business stay, boosted significantly by its excellent location.

We had a reservation at another hotel in the chain in Sopot. They efficiently found a room at Haffner for us. We found the hotel beds comfy. The breakfast complete, and tasty. The sauna area well laid out, the private beach is a plus.
There was very little space to set things in the bathroom. The sink design is terrible. And one of the bed lamps was broken.
The bar price was 5 euros for 250ml of water with lemon ... very expensive.

Don't be fooled that it says 5 star hotel. it is the worst experience we have been through. The receptionist is so rude. the rooms are so disgusting and stink and they refuse to change rooms and let us sleep with the dirt. the breakfast is not good at all!! I will never set my foot here again!

Dear Ms. Jessika, It is unfortunate that you are currently not enjoying your stay because of a smell in your room upon arrival, and disheartened that you are not recognising to the extent we have positioned ourselves and to compensate you to make you feel comfortable. We absolutely understand a carpeted room shared by three adults in one of the hottest days recorded in Sopot may have a stuffy odour and all of our team have been working to better accommodate you. As you are already aware we were fully booked the night you arrived and had no other room to move you to until the next morning, but we ensured a full deep-clean of your room and carpet that evening. You have been treated with complimentary breakfast, lunch and all-day access to our private beach, and all of our staff have been very attentive to you the whole way to show you a good time. Our team are treating you with the outmost respect and only wish you and your friends to be well, and we are saddened to see your apparent response to several hotel departments goodwill and care. Regards, Anine Marketing and Guest Services Manager, Haffner Hotel

We stayed in this hotel during the pandemic, then we were satisfied with the stay and service, that's why we came back here for Valentine's Day. Unfortunately it was a mistake. No interest from the staff, we waited in the lobby bar for a long time before the bartender offered us a menu. To clean the room we had to call the reception. Before arrival, there was no information that the hotel was undergoing renovation - it really made it difficult to relax. the hotel advertised a Valentine's Day offer, but the lack of commitment of the staff made us fall out of love with this hotel.
