Firstly the positives. 1) Staff very friendly and helpful. 2) Food is good (decent breakfast selection and very good evening meals). 3) Clean Negatives 1) Beds EXTREMELY uncomfortable - had a twin room and had to use both mattresses to avoid feeling springs or wooden bed frame. 2) Advertised as having a mini bar which consisted of a switched off empty fridge. Two bottles of water were supplied each day. 3) A kettle was provided but no tea or coffee making supplies. 4) Only net curtains so no means to have a dark room for sleep. 5) Next to a building site which looks like it will be ongoing for some time. Woken by diggers at 6am on several occasions. 6) Not exactly in the nicest part of town and not easy to find as demonstrated by taxi driver not knowing how to get there. I'm due to go back to Gdynia soon and will definitely NOT be staying here again.…
The hotel is very good. Purely in the rooms and indoors, and the food is excellent. Rooms are spacious. Calmly. I recommend the Bowling Room. Restaurants. Unfortunately, the surroundings is currently under renovation.
Reserved two rooms; a double and a twin. Turns out the rooms do not have permanent doubles. The beds were extremely uncomfortable, thin IKEA spring matresses or something that are past their prime. Old 4:3 flatscreen TV (at least 15 years old - so thats really a fire hazard), very limited power outages, holes in the wall and a bad odor from the bathroom. The maid came in to our room regardless of the do-not-disturb sign hanging on the door, not once but twice. The walls are thin so you can easily hear conversations...or worse...from neaeby rooms. I'm still traumatized over what I heard. The breakfast buffet is sub-par. On the positive side the staff was very friendly and the hotel is located very close to the city centre. I will go for the Marriott next time.
Nice and clean hotel with private parking, which was essential for us. Location is good, within walking distance from city center and train station, but still at quite quiet and calm area. Sofabed was not the best bed for our teenager, but otherwise the room was great.
My husband entered a sports event in Gdynia. We had never been to Poland before so we're quite nervous about what to expect. We needn't have worried. We were really happy with the hotel and it was a short walk to the waterfront where the event was held, though is in a less developed part of the dock land area. The staff were very helpful and friendly and had excellent English compared to my two words of Polish. The room was fine, had everything you needed other than aircon, though it wasn't too hot when we were there. Maybe a fan would be a good idea at least. We ate at the bar restaurant twice which was good and breakfast was of a good standard. There is a supermarket within walking distance and lots of bars , cafes, restaurants and street good available on the waterfront, beach and city. We stayed for three nights but we're sorry we didn't stay longer. So sorry we are planning coming back next year! …
Very nice and clean, great value for money, friendly staff. Breakfast was great. Hotel is located quite close to the city centre, the immediate area is quite... industrial (shipyard) so it might not be for everyone but I loved it and so did my fiancee
Lovely friendly people, speak good English. Hotel seems a bit out of the way but is only 15 minutes walk from the seafront and town centre. Rooms are clean and beds comfortable. If only there was air conditioning I would have given it 5 stars.
+++++The food is so delicious and perfect! Full 5 stars for it! The best food I have ever had outside! +Hotel is very close to the city center, many shops and services around. +easy parking, +quiet, +warm and friendly welcome. - Very small and narrow bed in the standard room, but ok. +I am very satisfied. Will definitely return when will have a chance and highly recommend!
The hotel is good, very comfortable room and bed. I can recommend for family. Big advantage for breakfast :) it's very close to the beach and Gdynia centrum. Food in the restaurant is also good and delicious. We were with one child I can recommend it for family's :)
We stayed for a long weekend with my husband and parents. The hotel is conveniently located a very short drive away from the port and the city centre. The room was big with a clean bathroom. The breakfast menu was splendid. Service polite and helpful. You can park the car at the hotel car park free of charge. The view from the window was somewhat depressing but we didn't stay in much. There were many families with children too. All in all, I recommend this place to anyone visiting Gdynia.
