We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, thank you. Only minor complaint that we couldn't buy a cup of tea b4 our early morning taxi to the airport as we were they were for breakfasting guest only, so we had to have coffee. That's our only complaint.
Nice friendly staff, spoke fluent english. We stayed in an apartment, and the apartment was just ok. To be honest not to impressed compared to what we paid. We were 3 persons, and the third person had to sleep on a converted sofa. As usual this kind of beds are really really bad. This was no execption. The other doublebed was good thought. Unstable Wifi both days and no coffee / waterboiler in room. ( should have been standard equipment in each room ) Reception area functioned as a small bar, and for us it worked. Cozy, ok prices, and again smiling staff. Also liked the breakfast. It was not included in our room rate, but breakfast was moderate priced and i would say it was good value. We liked it. But the best thing about this hotel is the location. Right by the gate…
Very nice hotel located in perfect place :-) Cousy, with quiet service and very fine breakfast. WhT I have missed is only Glendfidich whiskey at lobby bar. Prices are acceptable WiFi working well. I did not have any problem with renting small meeting room, organized in breakfast area.
After choosing this hotel as a base for English guests to the city of Gdansk, the hotel staff have gone above and beyond to accommodate a group of 21. Every query and request was timing answered and executed. The hotel staff were amazing and friendly. While the hotel itself was clean, smart and comfortable. The views from the rooms at the front of the hotel are fab, but beware you are in the centre of the old town so there will be street noise. This was some what elevated due to Jarmark Świętego Dominika (the market which is held last week of July and first two weeks of August). If this is a concern you could always choose a courtyard facing room. The only things which could have made the hotel better would be: Tea and coffee facilities in all rooms, as currently they only…
Stayed here with a number of family members as were celebrating a wedding in gdansk, lovely hotel very clean and tidy, very friendly staff, we stayed in an apartment as we had our son with us, no complaints at all only issue I had was the noise outside on a night but this is not the hotels fault, would consider staying here again
I booked a long weekend at Kobza Haus for an autumn break in 2013. I chose the hotel as I prefer to give my money to individual, independently-run hotels with some character, rather than the large faceless chains. Usually this works out fine, but on this occasion I have to say we were most disappointed and I would not recommend staying at this hotel on that basis. I think the Radisson Blu may have been a better bet on this occasion as it wasn't much more and was in the old town so a lot quieter when we went past it one evening. I would agree with the reviews of DD and Petri P regarding the noise and attitudes of the staff and manager. We booked through booking.com and I specifically requested two quiet rooms. It was therefore disappointing that one of the rooms we were…
Some basics are right. Breakfast is good, staff is really friendly and nice and location is very good indeed. Unfortunately some things are really bad. The hotel is extremely noisy, one can hear everything across the walls, there is occasionally a huge smell of sewer, extra bed quality is as bad as it can get, TV has only Polish channels. WiFi works but sometimes it blocks access out of sudden saying one has used too many credits. There is no children`s playroom and no gym. What really angers me that there are people in Tripadvisor who give this hotel 5 stars. These kind of people who have never used a hotel in their live should be banned from this site. I was travelling with my small boy and readind wrong advice on Tripadvisor made me choose a wrong hotel.
We stayed here on the 9th september for four nights, the staff were so helpfull the rooms were some of the cleanest we have stopped in and then you come to breakfast it could not be faulted, the choice was perfect from salmon to bacon what more could you want, the location is just perfect for the old town with some great places to eat in walking distance, we did try the little cafe bar a few door down from the hotel,, the food was some of the best we had eaten and very reasonable, we will be going back next year in the summer.
The hotel is located right outside the "Main town" across the river, literally 1 minute walk from Dluga Street and 30 seconds away from the river. There is a taxi stop right in front of the hotel. Our room was small but very clean. The bed was comfortable, especially the pillows. The bathroom had a shower with good pressure and the option of a rainshower. There were complimentary hand soap and body gel. There was also a safe, big enough to store a 15" laptop. The hotel offers free wi-fi access in the rooms. Everyone in the staff seemed to speak English and were nice to us.
The hotel is nice and centrally located, but we had a problem with the noise coming from the bar-party area opposite the hotel. We decided to check-out the next day but the hotel refused to return the remaining two nights we had prepaid! The hotel basically claimed that as others had not complained our complaint must also be groundless, and they would not be swayed. I was particularly dismayed by manager Robert's unprofessionalism, who refused to deal with us directly either in person or on the telephone, instead making up 'meetings' throughout the day that had to be attended and interacting with us through a poor receptionist who was quite embarrassed by the whole situation. Overall the hotel is nice but prepare to be treated like absolute garbage if you end up having an…
