Some things were great about Kobza Haus and some things poor. So I will start with the great: the room we had was nicely appointed with comfy beds. The front desk people were informative, friendly and knowledgeable about Gdansk. The hotel has off-street parking when available. The hotel is in a great location close to the old city center. Now onto the poor: the wifi did not work for just about the whole time we stayed there and I brought this to their attention a few times. Sounds like a first world problem, but we needed wifi to connect with family back home and to research the next part of our trip. The room we stayed in was loud - loud from street noise and construction projects (nothing the hotel could really do about it) and loud from the guests above our room - mostly just…
Friendly welcoming staff. Unbelievably convenient location. Room is big and clean. Bed is so comfortable - slept like a baby. Breakfast is incredible, fresh and so much to choose from. And the lady there this morning was so nice and polite. Also, I had emailed a month before and asked for a fan - even though it has air-conditioning - and one was waiting in the room. I genuinely love it here. I travel a lot and stay in lots of hotels. This is by no means 5 star but it has everything you need - including powerful shower and reasonably priced mini bar. Restaurants and Zabka everywhere - no problem for reasonably priced meals and things you need. Recommended!!!!!
Very good quiet hotel with perfect location in the old town. The room was big enough, had everything you could wish for, well-kept and equipped with air conditioning. The breakfast buffet was very good, continental with elements of well-prepared local dishes. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Here I will gladly return.
Very polite and helpful stuff. Clean, quiet and comfortable rooms, a good breakfast, great location at the center! Everything was great! The free bottle of water was just on time, and the umbrellas that we could take with us was helpful at the rain.
The location is awesome, just on the other side of the river of the old town, the staff is great and for its price, it's well worth the price. The hotel has four floors, but the elevator goes only to the third floor, so if you have difficulties with stairs, make sure to get a room on the three first floors. The room was tidy and spacious, at least when traveling alone. And for the price of 37zl you get a great breakfast. But then the buts: The view from the window on the fourth floor was next to nothing, they just brought light to the room. There was some bits and pieces that were a bit loose in the room (for example the ceiling windows handle which was used to close them), so it was a bit difficult to close them, without tearing them apart. There was no place you could place…
Good and reasonably priced hotel in a great location, it's always nice to have a short walk home and it always seemed to be the case for us staying here. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Be aware that the City view (i.e. for windows facing in the direction of the crane/river side) is currently a big building site with new buildings blocking the views. Only real downside of our stay was that the walls do appear to be very thin. The guests in a room near ours were clearly talking at a completely normal volume, but we could hear pretty much every word!
Can’t fault this hotel. The location is perfect, the rooms are clean, staff are friendly and it is cheap. Me and the wife stayed here for 2 nights (Fri-Sun) and it cost us £70. Would 100% stay here again without a doubt. Everything is in the doorstep including the Main Street, Neptune’s fountain and the riverside. Until next time....
Have stay 4 night, the cleaning in room good, but the room in 4 floor have small Windows and pettie room, the elevator only to 3 floor. We ask the first night if we could change room because my wife have some problem with the knee. But no, to lazy to help use, and when you come back after going out the girls in the office hardly say hello, to lazy or not care! The best part is the location and breakfest. But stay here again NO
The hotel is situated just outside the historical centre of Gdansk, you can reach Długi Targ within 1 minute walking. You can reach almost all of Gdansk's main attractions by foot. Our room was clean and comfortable and the staff was friendly and efficient. Our room was at the back of the hotel, so we did not hear any noise from the street outside. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a good and affordable place to stay in Gdansk. The only two reasons the hotel does not get a 5-star review from me are the thin walls between the rooms, meaning you can hear exactly what your neighbours are up to, and the inability to regulate the temperature. It was quite warm in our room and we would have liked to turn the temperature down, but this wasn't possible. …
I am very happy that I chose this guest house/hotel. It is right on the edge of old town. Lots of museums and great restaurants nearby. The room was small but charming and spotless. The desk people spoke good English and were very helpful. I will return to this hotel next year. Breakfast was excellent
