Just back from 3 days in Gdansk, a City break that I recommend unreservedly. The hotel is spotless and I was amazed to learn it was 6 years old - it looks brand new. Rooms are spacious as are the bathrooms and well equipped with plenty of towels and shampoo and shower gel. They arranged a taxi from and back to the airport and it was there waiting on arrival and at our agreed departure time. Breakfast is available in a first floor room and there is a good choice with cereals, savoury items, meats and a few hot items. It is constantly replenished. Staff are friendly and helpful with local information and are always at reception. You can buy beers, wine, soft drinks etc from reception but with two supermarkets within 200 yards there's plenty of choice on the doorstep. The hotel also has roof terrace which was nice as the weather was wonderful whilst we were there. It is a bit out of the City but public transport is good and cheap and you get the 210 from opposite Carrefour then it brings you right back opposite the hotel. Smashing little hotel in a wonderful City.

We stayed in the Beethoven Hotel for one (Easter) night in a double room. The room was spacious, very quite (except the wind sound coming from the ventilation window - but it wasn't a problem at all). It was decorated with modern taste. The furniture was brand new. There was a TV set with polish TV channels, electric kettle, cups, glasses, tea and coffee, sugar and little Easter chocolates :) The room had its own heating (which we could set just as we wanted to). The double bed was big and very comfortable, with clean and fresh bedding. The bathroom was very clean and nice with all the things we needed to get fresh (big and small towels, shower gel and shampoo samples, soap, hairdryer etc.).
The service was very good with nice and helpful staff - when we asked for knives and forks, a receptionist brought them directly to our room.
The best thing was an Easter breakfast - it was better than we expected. Huge selection of traditional Easter dishes - eggs, hot white sausages, polish vegetable salad, pate, Easter yeast-cake, poppy-seed cake, many kinds of other sausages, cheese, bread and vegetables. Also one could eat traditional breakfast like milk with crunchy flakes, fruits, yoghurts, jams and many others. On each table there were two kinds of juice and water. We could drink coffee and tea. It was really great to feel an Easter atmosphere away from our family home.
There was a free wi-fi in the hotel (at the beginning we had some problem with logging in the network).
The hotel has a great location - only 10 minutes bus ride (lines: 130, 184, 384) from the grand railway station (Gdańsk Główny). There is a nice view from the 2nd floor terrace - we could see the Old Town skyline.
We absolutely recommend the Beethoven Hotel in Gdańsk.
Thank you, Beethoven, we will come back very soon :)

Stayed here for the first time, clean basic hotel, no restaurant on site but owners very accommodating and will arrange food to be brought in if you give them advance notice. Rooms are not well sound proofed, but management will let you change rooms if there are spare rooms. Management are very receptive to feedback.

3 nights for just over £100 is good value. Hotel is clean, staff are helpful, parking available if you require, free wifi. There is a bit of a walk uphill at the end of the day if you decide like we did to tour around Gdansk on foot. If you are using the hotel just as a base to wash & sleep it's great.

This is a very pleasant and tidy hotel. The rooms are nicely decorated and very functional. The staff is very polite and attentive. They will tell you all you need to know about which taxis to take (very important in Gdansk), where things are and they even cooperate with a pizzeria to make it easier to order food. The breakfast served is very nice and if you want to make your own, there is a well stocked supermarket right across the street!

If you are coming by car, they have ample space to park outside and even below the hotel.

Having rented the Apartment in the Hotel, I must commend it for being very complete with a full kitchen which includes a dishwasher and an two element electric cook top. The only thing really missing would be a microwave, although there is one at the area where breakfast is served.
The bathrooms are also very clean, well-lit and come with a shower and a hair dryer with an universal plug.

Overall, highly recommended!

We book 6 nights at the hotel 2 months prior to arrival. The staff at the reservation was really helpful and provided us with the necessary reservation and payment confirmation.
When we arrived, the only available room for us was the one facing the street which was quite noisy because of the cars and buses passing by the buliding the whole night at the distcance just 3 m from your windows. As the rooms have no air conditioning, we had to keep the windows open which made the noise even worse.
However, after two nights under such conditions, the personnel changed the room for us for a much better one facing the back street where the noise from the road is not so loud. The rooms facing the back street are much better - if the street noise is a problem for you, please ask the hotel staff to book a room for you overlooking the back street. My suggestion to the hotel management is to sell rooms facing the noisy street at a slightly lower price so that guests have an option to pay less or to stay in a quieter room.
Location is ok, just 4 bus stops from the city center of Gdansk. Food at breakfast was simple but good. Supermarket CARREFOUR is just 100 m from the hotel.
