Mixed feelings. It's great they have English speaking friendly and helpful staff. Not very clean (dust). Perfect location in the old town, artistic interiors with replicas of great painters and a balcony with a great view over the river. Lovely terrace for breakfast! Unfortunately, there is no lift. It can be difficult to use the stairs with kids and many...

Hotel has beautiful website, great photos. But reality is different. We were offered the attic rooms, even if others were free. Attic located at fourth level with no elevator. Stairs to heaven? No. Small, stuffy air room. After complaining we were offered other room on lower level. Getting on consideration price of stay - this was rather poor experience. One...

Loved the friendly staff, who knew English. The food was fabulous, fresh with beautiful presentation. The waitress was smart, friendly and efficient. The atmosphere was cozy and full of interesting antiques.

I spent a wonderful four days in the "Goldwasser" and can recommend it very highly. The rooms are full of character and with beautiful views front and back, the staff are very friendly and helpful in every way, and the attached restaurant serves some of the best meals in Gdansk. And (contrary to other reviews I have seen) the apartments...

This hotel had some serious issues, but on the other hand it had its advantages too. The location was suberb, the rooms were spacious and beautiful, the breakfast was really great and you could enjoy it on the balcony facing the river. BUT, there was not hot water. That's right, no hot water at all. So folks, if you would...

The room/small apartement we stayed in was a bit tired but cosy and had a balcony perfect for people-watching. There is a small fridge in the room, but no kettle for making coffee/tea. The area is really beautiful with a great view from our room (nr 4). But be aware that this is first and foremost a busy restaurant, then...

Its a real shame i cant give this a higher review as there is so much right about this hotel. But our room had no hot water, a problem that the manager was aware of and offered no solution so we therefore couldnt shower for 2 days. Im sorry but that is a major issue and the fact they knew...

The location is clearly the big seller here. And yes it is amazing, overlooking the river and thriving town. The building itself is stunning. But on our first night we had only ice cold water for the shower, I went to the manager and he said "it's an old building so you may have to wait half an hour maybe...

There is truly only one attraction, staying there -the spectacular view from the window on the Motlawa River. The rest was below my expectations. Our "so called" apartment appeared a tiny place on the third floor, with very steep and narrow stairs, consisting of very small bedroom, small living room and microscopic bathroom. It was quite cold and the central...

“I had a room on third floor, one side view of marina, the other side view of city, it was perfect. Hotel does not have lift so a stair climb is necessary, if you struggle with stairs get a third story room but otherwise go as high as yiu can. Staff are happy to assist with luggage up stairs”

“As for the room with the balcony. It is only on the first floor (in American terms the second floor; there are never any on the first floor), so there are fewer stairs than the other rooms would have, and this was the only one with a balcony, though all of them have the same great view.”
