    Wonderful!
Had a lovely experience staying at this charming hotel. Staff were very helpful, especially the efficient and friendly Robert who helped us greatly with information and to feel very welcomed. Lovely breakfast, prompt room service. Room cleaned daily and little touches that made the stay extra special, it was a real rare and wonderful treat to stay here and a great location to explore and enjoy wonderful Gdansk, would highly recommend. We look forward to returning soon.

    Amazing Historic Hotel
A wonderful historic hotel in a great location. Like a beautiful palace. Decorated with beautiful wallpapers, curtains and classic furniture which all create an atmosphere from old noble times. When we arrived we have been welcomed in a very warm way, all staff was so polite and helpful. They serve perfect breakfast. We had our breakfast every morning watching from the window the beautiful river view. We also had dinner at the Restaurant which had a lovely atmosphere. We stayed from 19 - 22 February. If we visit Gdansk again we will stay for sure to Podewils which is a fabulous hotel! Elena & Demetris Cyprus

    Hotel Podewils is a gem
Hotel Podewils is an outstanding property. It is a boutique hotel, with only 10 rooms, and has superior quality. They provide a wonderful breakfast buffet and offer hot food options as well. The building was constructed around 1730, so historically it is attractive and wonderful. The rooms (at least ours was) are furnished with beautiful antiques. The lobby is cozy and attractive. All staff are pleasant and helpful. The hotel is in a areat location , and rooms have river/canal views, and are quiet. Our bathroom was beautiful, functional, and all marble; hot water without delay. The hotel location is convenient, with short walking to many restaurants and historic sites. The Filharmonia is around the corner. Hotel Podewils is a gem in all ways, and not to be missed. We recommend it highly.

We tried really hard to like this Hotel and paid about 270 usd per room per night. For the price, we expected a five star hotel. Instead there was a long strand of cobwebs above the bed, the carpets under the bed were covered in a thick layer of dust and to make matters worse, the mattresses were sunken concave without any weight on it. Furnishings were dated and we could have appreciated it if the upkeep was decent. The kettles were covered internally with limes alr deposits which the hotel changed for us but were unable to do anything about the mattresses. Apart from the hospitable service from one of the receptionists Goscia, there were very few redeeming qualities of Podewils. Breakfast was passable at best. It was really disappointing in comparison to the other hotels we have stayed at in Poland that cost the same.

The room was really comfortable and even though we were right in the heart of Gdansk it was lovely and relaxed eating breakfast on the terrace. Staff friendly and helpful. Felt a bit like a luxury Manor house in the city! Near to good places to eat and all the museums.

We visited in July for three nights and had an excellent stay. The staff was very friendly, helpful and professional. The hotel was clean and beautiful with fresh flowers and the breakfast was excellent. The only minor complaint was that the rooms weren't very soundproof so you could hear your neighbors a bit but that's to be expected in an old historic building. Would love stay again 😊

We very much enjoyed the charm and grace of the historic Hotel Podewils. Our hosts, Magda and Gusha, always welcomed us so very warmly and accommodated our needs. The building is prominent and lovely, with a terrific location for accessing everything. The room was lovely albeit with its little quirks. Hot water has little play and accessing the tub was a bit of a challenge for someone who is 5’2”. Bed was very comfortable, queen size, but surprisingly with individual separate twin size comforters. Breakfast is very nice, and biscotti treats, tea and meringues, available in the lobby, for a quick “pick me up” anytime. An traditional and enjoyable stay for us.

What a fantastic hotel. A real change from the modern chain hotels. The staff are very welcome and helpful. The room was very comfortable with all the facilities required. The hotel is centrally located, only a short walk to the many attractions. We would 100% stay here again.

Just a bar would have been nice rather than drinking in the albreit beautiful lobby. . Pretty basic the hotel, but high quality, room and lobby lovely, staff even lovelier. Fantastic location in historic Gdansk but shame it couldn't be opened up a bit more to residents and locals. Believe there was a downstairs breakfast room not that I used it. As I said staff were first rate, and hotel booked me and a friend on a tour of Gdansk with Marta from who was absolutely brilliant. B
