This hotel is in a quiet back street with no passing traffic but at the same time is close to the riverside on the opposite bank from the Ferris wheel. Everywhere is walkable from there and there are plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from within a 5 to 10 minute walk. Our room was spacious with a very large bathroom. We enjoyed our breakfast. There was a wide variety of breakfast foods in the buffet and they cater for a variety of nationalities. We particularly enjoyed the musicians playing violin and piano accordion on the Sunday. The staff were all pleasant and helpful.
This is an ideal hotel for exploring the interesting city of Gdansk. Just down the road is the waterfront, and many interesting streets and museums are within easy walking distance. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the station. The hotel is very clean and has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere but is efficient and professional. There is a fast, open lift from reception to the upper floors. The rooms are a good size with a comfortable bed, enough storage, a good TV, a sensible-shaped basin and a good shower, although the bath is a bit high for climbing in and out. Unusually for Europe, a kettle is provided and supplies of tea, coffee and bottled water are replenished daily. Tissues are also provided. The WiFi was a bit temperamental but nothing to cause a real problem.…
Good location, quiet and moneys worth. Staff is wery friendly and speaks enlish. Quality of breakfast is exellent. Location is good as there are variety of restaurants nearby and most places are with innqalking distance. Hotel has spa, which is not always on, small but has what you need for relax.
We went to Gdansk for a weeks stay in July 2019. And we stayed at Hotel Admiral. We have been here before and we find the hotel very good. Placed Central in Gdansk but also in a quiet area. Nice reception. Clean rooms. Friendly receptionists. Quality ventilation. THe breakfast was ok, but could have been done better. Missing hot boild eggs and fried eggs. The bread could have been of higher quality. But all over a very good hotel. We will be back.
Centrally located, 2 min walk from the river, 10 min walk from Old Town. Got an OK room, comfortable but a bit old fashioned with a bathroom that could need some refurbishment. Lots of storage space. Stayed two nights during a heat wave which was too much for the A/C as it had no real effect (but was very noisy). Had asked for a room with well functioning Wifi but soon realized the network was accessible only for non-Apple devices which was confirmed by the reception. Even my Windows laptop, however, was disconnected on the 2nd night so had to change room. Also this room had a noisy and tired A/C although a bit more efficient. I understood from other guests that lack of Wifi – or unstable Wifi – was a general problem. Annoying if you are depending on Wifi and strange that…
This hotel is excellent. It is modern clean and only 5 minutes walk to the waterfront with a lot of restaurants nearby. It provides a very good breakfast and the staff are very friendly and helpful. A good choice for Gdansk.
Lovely hotel in a lovely city. Friendly staff and friendly locals. The city is still rebuilding and the direction its travelling can only be a good thing. Some vivid history. The museum of world war 2 is the most amazing place that invokes so many thoughts and feelings.
We stayed for 3 nights and are very happy to recommend this hotel to any visitors to Gdansk. Clean modern hotel with great spacious rooms and excellent service. The breakfast is the normal mixed variety of hot and cold all very good and a great start to the day. We requested a room on a high floor and that is what we got, very spacious and light with a walk in shower which we really like. Location couldn't be better just a few steps from the waterfront and all the best bits of Gdansk including the giant old crane. Lots of great bars and restaurants within a few yards and the famous long street 5 mins away. We had forgotten an adapter for hair straighteners so Reception helped us out with a box full of various ones to borrow, thank you. We highly recommend this hotel for service,…
hotel is in a perfect place to explore gdansk, the staff are exceptional very friendly and very helpful, rooms are spacious and very clean, breakfast was plentiful and very nice, would recommend this to all who are looking for a hotel in gdansk
Very clean and spacious, rooms were large and comfortable. Warm bathroom with great hot shower. Would definitely return. Breakfast had plenty of self service food, choice of usual bread, cereals, fruit but also some hot foods. Plenty of drinks to choose from. Hotel bar predictably a little expensive but quite cosy (captains bar) and also free sauna if you wanted to use
