The Hilton Gdansk garners appreciation for its prime location with easy access to the city's heart and stunning river views. Guests often describe the rooms as spacious, modern, and boasting good views, though some have raised concerns about noise and cleanliness. The staff's professionalism and attentiveness frequently receive commendation, enhancing the hotel's atmosphere of comfort and cleanliness that many find exceptional. However, opinions on value are divided, with some guests questioning the pricing in relation to certain amenities and services. Despite minor service inconsistencies and varied views on value, the hotel's overall offerings, including a praised breakfast, contribute to a satisfying stay for many travelers.

Helpful check-in.

Breakfast: The breakfast was a bit inconsistent. The first few mornings had a wide variety of fresh, high-quality ingredients, but by the final morning, the selection was much more limited, and the quality seemed to drop significantly. Additionally, while the juice machine was a great idea, I found it off-putting that there were flies on the cut-up fruit and vegetables surrounding it. On the plus side, the breakfast staff were excellent—very friendly and attentive. I particularly enjoyed the Polish dishes, though I would have loved to see horseradish offered alongside the kielbasa.

Room: My room was generally comfortable and modern, with a clean, well-laid-out design. The decor was nice, with earth tones creating a calming atmosphere, and the AC was very good—kept the room cool despite the heat. The shower had great water pressure and temperature, and the bed, while comfortable, was on the firmer side for my taste. I also appreciated the good seating and spacious layout of the room, which made the space feel more open.

Unfortunately, there were a couple of issues with the room itself. I had requested a quiet room, but the one I was given was quite noisy—every 30 minutes, I could hear the sound of the bridge alarm. That was really disruptive, especially when trying to rest. Additionally, the room had a noticeable pet smell, which I didn’t appreciate.

This hotel is in an excellent location near the river and old town and close to many bars and restaurants. It is also around 15 minute walk to the main station. The rooms were spacious, modern and tastefully decorated so are more than ideal for a weekend away. The bed itself was also extremely comfortable. The bathroom was large enough for both a bath and separate shower and was spotlessly clean. Due to COVID regulations, cleaning and fresh towels were only done on request. The hotel also benefits from small gym and pool and a rooftop bar.

We really enjoyed the breakfast buffet each morning as the choice was enormous and certainly better than previous Hilton’s we have stayed at – especially enjoyed the smoked salmon and other smoked fish, and the fresh honeycomb was a big bonus. Not forgetting all the super friendly and helpful staff who helped us make the most of our stay in Gdansk

Overall, for the price and location, you could not find a better hotel – 10 / 10

Very well located, although the truth is the tourist city is very small and any hotel in the center is well located. It has a swimming pool, massages and spa, gym, parking... The rooms are very well insulated, 55' TV in the room and available to send from your device to network TV. Very comfortable bed and extremely friendly staff. The restaurant has a fair but exquisite offering, although you have countless options within a 10-minute walk radius. It is right on the river and very close to the galleon.

Last week I stayed two nights at this Hilton hotel, as soon as you enter you realize that it has an Ace, when you go up to the room you confirm it, ours faced a narrow street and as it was a first we could have chatted with passersby if we wanted to. The worst came the second night, we arrived around 22h. and when using the service we see how the water overflows (we all know that what comes out of a toilet is fecal water 🤮), we call reception and the person who goes up tells us that we will be changed rooms, spends half an hour and another person comes who claims to be the director of guard and that the hotel is complete and suggests that we go with the friends with whom we had traveled, to which we replied that we are friends but not enough to get the four of us into bed, then we are offered to go downstairs to spend the night at the reception sofas 🙄.....no comments. At the end after much fighting three hours later appears a plumber who fixes the breakdown. Yes, you have read all this, you will be thinking yourself that this is not a 5-star hotel. We traveled a lot and nothing like this has ever happened to us. Of course I do not recommend this hotel because I think things can happen but you have to have a quick solution and they did not have it.

Just returned from a weekend in Gdansk and stayed in the Hilton. Great location - minutes from the World War 2 museum and about 5 minutes walk to the main sites. This hotel is ideally situated with fantastic views out over the city and the river. Breakfast was expensive if you hadn't got it included in your rate (20 GBP per person per day). We had it one day only. Staff very friendly and welcoming. The hotel is spotlessly clean. Highly recommend if staying in the area. Thank you Hilton Gdansk!

Location: good, which was convenient during the stay.

Cleanliness: We positively evaluate the maintenance of cleanliness

Pool: Unfortunately, on Monday the water in the pool was cold, which affected the comfort of using this facility.

Breakfast: The rating is low for the hotel standards and price, which is an area for improvement.

Massages: We especially recommend massages performed by Kajetan - they were superbly performed, which contributed positively to relaxation.

Staff: Additionally, we would like to emphasize that the hotel staff was extremely polite and helpful.

To sum up, the hotel offers a good location, cleanliness, and very polite staff, but the breakfast needs improvement. The massages were one of the strong points, especially thanks to Kajetan's skills.

Repeat customer Currently staying at the gdansk Hilton superior park view room 206. First night of our trip of what was supposed to be a celebration trip I am deeply shocked and a little traumatised by our stay we are staying in what is supposed to be a 5 star hotel
The rooms are as they were pre covid which is just fine clean and functional last night our 1st night at approx 5 am my husband woke me to say we had to evacuate the building as an alarm was sounding
I personally am hearing impaired and wear hearing aids and didn’t hear any alert however we complied and evacuated out room not 1 staff member spoke to us we spend over 90 minutes standing in the street in our nightwear whilst 4possibly 5 fire engines finally attended the emergency at no stage did any staff member speak to us keep us informed or do a welfare check we weren’t informed of anything and I can honestly say approx 30guests in a fully booked hotel. Complied and were in the same position most people returned to their rooms when staff nonchalantly started cleaning the outdoor terrace where we were gathered around us preparing for breakfast I guess .still unsure TBH
I am still in shock at the total disregard to keep guests informed we were unsure whether to re enter the building or not eventually guests started to renter the building.I am guessing that everyone else either didn’t hear the alert or chose to ignore it .We finally returned to our room after speaking to another guest who spoke to emergency personnel (fire service )whist I am acutely aware of fire safety and take it very seriously I am still bewildered at the total lack of basic customer care .Core principles of customer care and service are communication and we received none at any point.I was so upset today I asked a member of the receptionist day staff what happened last night and was informed it was an issue in the underground car park and everything was under control false alarm or not ..it wasn’t under control it was shambolic my welfare was not a priority or a concern or the Hilton hotel group . This is not what I expected or am paying for .I will be following up this review with an update pending feedback from the Gdansk
5 star Hilton hotel .

My first destination after arriving in Poland. Hilton Gdansk has provide such a good impression at the onset. I was originally hesitant to book bcuz of cost but it has proven that it's worth every penny!

Front desk service is very welcoming, beds are very comfortable and room is spacious coupled with the beautiful view. Location is walking distance to old town which is very ideal. Breakfast spread was the same for our 3days stay but acceptable to us as they're delicious! Journey to train station (via uber/car) takes about 10mins but I'd suggest giving another 5mins just in case of traffic conditions as we've come across some slow traffic along the way.

If we're back to Gdansk someday, this would still be my choice to stay!

Stayed 11 nights at this hotel and it was just wonderful. The location on the river and next to old town was perfect . The food particularly the selection at breakfast was excellent and included a great juicing selection of fruit and vegetables. ( oh and a chocolate fountain ! ) . The bedroom was very well appointed with a very comfortable bed . All staff including housekeeping, spa , reception and restaurant were friendly and extremely helpful . All in all a very pleasant stay .

We visited Gdansk and stayed in the Hilton for just two days. The Hilton was excellent, friendly staff, good breakfasts and very good swimming pool and jacuzzi which was open to children most of the time. Gdansk is a bustling city on the sea with lots of interesting places to visit and lovely walks by the water. It has lots of cafes beside the bay a bit like many places in Italy. it is very crowded in paths along the water front.
We did not have time to visit all the attractions of which there are many. We travelled by train from Warsaw which only took 2.5 hours and was very comfortable and fast (first class).
One word of warning: in contrast to the Warsaw taxis which were reliable, honourable and very reasonably priced on the meter (45 zlotys from Warsaw airport to centre of Warsaw) 1 Zlotys = ÂŁ0.19) Gdansk train station taxis are mostly driven by sharks. When we exited Gdansk station, we were bombarded with very big aggressive foreign (non Polish) men asking us if we wanted a Taxi. I tried to go to the front of the taxi queue but one man had already taken my suitcase and was trying to fit it into his overcrowded boot and clear the back seat. As it was only 0.5 miles (we couldn't walk because of all the luggage) to the Hilton hotel I insisted that he told us before we started what the cost would be because I couldn't see a meter. When he replied 90 zlotys (nearly ÂŁ20) I argued comparing it with the price in Warsaw for 20 times the distance (45 Zlotys). He eventually told us if we wouldn't pay that amount we should get out of the taxi. We then went to the front of the queue where three men were talking together. The experience wasn't much better, the man charged 60 Zlotys (about 5 times the correct charge) "take it or leave it". On arriving at the hotel I should have just given him 20 but he was very intimidating so i told the hotel when we were booking in. Sadly, they said many of the drivers were from Turkey and treated passengers like a Turkish Market giving Polish taxi drivers a bad reputation. On returning to the station from our hotel on our final day, the hotel ordered a taxi for us which was reasonable, clean and the driver was helpful. My advice is if you are travelling to Gdansk by train and need a taxi when you get there then pre-book them online to avoid being robbed by people giving Poland a bad reputation for tourists. Gdansk City council should remove these drivers.

Hello, thank you for this questions. In Poland, we've had restrictions for the last few months and meals had to be served in the rooms, which is why you read about breakfast boxes. Luckily everything is back to normal and breakfast buffets are possible again. We can invite our guests to breakfast in the restaurant. Hope we will meet in June. Kind regards, Hilton Gdańsk Team

Hi! I stayed there recently. Breakfast is good, ample choice of the usual hot and cold dishes. Sometimes they offer complementary prossecco. Unfortunately although they have a menu of extras (eggs Arlington, omelettes etc ) it is hard to fina a waiter/waiters to take your order. Price is 75 PLN. Taxi via the hotel is 70 PLN from the airport and 100 PLN to the airport... I have no idea why the difference.
