Great room very clean everywhere polite and helpful staff. absolut perfect location in the center of Gdansk. gorgeous hotel coffee & water are complimentary. whats not to like ? noise from the street was not a problem
Arrived in the evening after a delayed flight. Receptionist was super helpful. Tea coffee & water are complimentary. Hotel is clean and modern. Our room was spotless the bathroom is spacious. TV with Netflix in English. The old town is directly outside the front door with bars and restaurants galore
2:30am - not slept a wink. Earplugs provided, but maybe need to supply sleeping tablets. Rooms and staff lovey but this is a nightmare. Ideal location for bars/restaurants, but also a Mecca for noisy drunks.
Really enjoyed our 3 nights at Fama Residence. Worth upgrading to a larger room. We had 201 with comfy beds, settee and fridge. Shower good. Main bonus is the location. 10 mins walk from the railway/bus station where the 210 airport bus goes to, and the hotel is at the top of the main street next to the Golden Gate. Lots of bars and restaurants nearby. The room was hot and being at the front of the building we only opened the windows during the day when we were in. I can imagine it being a bit noisier in high season but they supply earplugs and we had no problems. Reception staff were ok. Yes there’s no English channels, news channel would have been nice but certainly not a deal breaker. Beautiful building and amazing location sums it all up. We would stay here again. Highly recommended..…
The Fama Residence, situated next to the Golden Gate, Gdańsk is a great value hotel. Hard to beat for the cost, very clean and staff extremely helpful at all times when asking questions at reception. Breakfast good value and choice. I defy anyone for the price to find anywhere better in Gdańsk. My only niggle, having enjoyed a couple of Irish coffee’s with my travelling friend, in the hotel restaurant/bar, I enquired the cost, to be told three different prices from 3 different staff members!!!! Not good enough, sought out your pricing and stick to it!!! Apart from that, a good value for money stay.
location of hotel is great for sightseeing, just inside the gate of the old town, but as a result very noisy! we were given room 102 which is at the front just above the entrance to the hotel. if you like to have a window open make sure you don't get this room! never slept properly for the three nights, they even left a pack of ear plugs in the room!! tells you everything! we didn't book breakfast when we made the booking, we like to see what is around so we can vary it, however, the first morning we had breakfast at the hotel, well actually it's a bar adjacent to the hotel, the cost, which I found out when leaving was 45zlty each, we had been told it was 35! it was awful, the bacon was sloppy, uncooked or burnt, nothing edible, and cold, the eggs, only 'scrambled' no fried, boiled, poached, looked like they were made of dried egg, slimy, awful! we didn't eat breakfast the other days, went somewhere else. when checking out I complained to the receptionist at the hotel, she said in a patronising manner that she would refund one of the charges, but implied I was complaining because i was trying to get out of paying - I didn't take the partial refund and left. Our room wasn't made up at all whilst we were there, no clean towels brought. room was very basic and very small, decent amount of storage though, no british TV channels so couldn't watch the news etc. overall not impressed with the hotel, won't stay there again.…
Great location, helpful and lovely staff, very nice breakfast and spacious rooms. Really enjoyed our stay and will definietly come back when next time in Gdansk! We have booked quite few rooms in the hotel together with family for a period of few days and each room was of good quality.
Lovely little hotel right in the centre of the old town. Rooms are a little bland and generic compared to the outside of the building, but they were very clean and comfortable. The staff were all very helpful and welcoming and breakfast (taken in the restaurant next door) and as plentiful and very tasty. All in all a great value for money love to stay.
I've been to Fama Residence twice and both stays were very pleasant. The location is great - close to the main train station and all attractions of the Old Town, you can walk everywhere. Rooms and bathrooms are very clean and comfortable. I love Fama's beds, they are also very comfortable. Breakfast is great, vegetarians will find something for themselves without any problem :). I highly recommend!
We stayed for 4 nights. Best hotel we have stayed in the city. Amazing location, great rooms, very good breakfast, good service. Wifi is very important for my work and was super-fast. So, I recommend it and we will repeat! 10/10
