Nice, clean, comfortable, modern apartment near to the war museum. 15 min walk to the real centre where most of the shops, cafes and restaurants are to be found. Nice view of the river, but the footbridge can get noisy at times. We stayed a week in June and it was 29-31 degrees most days, this did cause a problem. The apartments do not have air conditioning, something I assumed would be there in a modern apartment block. Most evenings it was like trying to sleep in a sauna, making it very hard to get over to sleep and as a result we were usually tired the next day. It was cooler outside than in, however opening the windows did not produce any ventilation and did not help apart from getting us bit a couple of times. As I said nice apartments, but would only stay again if air con was installed or the weather was a lot cooler…
The location by the river is good. You can easily walk to the old city and down by the riverside you see beautiful Gdansk. This place was very tidy. Cleaning is excellent. Staff was very helpful and nice. Rooms are modern and building is new. Very excellent place indeed.
We visited with our 4 boys. Two rooms, Two double bed, one double sleeping sofa in living room. Very nice location at the Old City. Walking distance to everywhere. Top class restaurant next door. Strongly recommend this hotel if you wanted a cost effective stay in a very nice flat, in a very nice location.
We (4 adults, 2 children) booked the apartment in the last minute because of an issue with the earlier booked accomodation. Luckily we got a better one: the building is modern, brand new and is in a perfect location to discver the town. Beds are comfortable the living room is spacious. Unfortunately the kitchen is equipped rather for 4 than 6 persons - but we were OK with that because we were with 2 small kids, so we could solve the brekafasts and the dinners. Also important is that in the midsummer period there are lots of tourists in the area so the nights are often noisy due to the continouos programs - but it also didn't disturb us, we rather enjoyned it. The building is near to the harbours to have sightseeing boat trips, to the big wheel, to train station Glowny and to several shops. Definitely recommended!…
We couldn’t have been more pleased with our stay here. Great location, the best actually. Clean, nice rooms. Friendly staff. Very good value for the money. The only drawback was the siren from the drawbridge. It didn’t bother us in daytime, but since it was very hot we had to sleep with the window open, and the bridge was opened during the night. These apartments are located in a brand new building right next to the river. The reception is located at the front of the building and you enter the flats at the back, via separate, secure entrance using your room card (there’s a lift). Our apartment was on the 6th floor and offered fabulous river views. Please note there’s a drawbridge outside which does get lifted numerous times a day and which can be heard. We initially thought this would be a concern as the windows are not completely sound proof, however within a few hours we stopped even noticing it. The apartment had twin bed pushed together (mattress very comfortable), flat screen tv (international channels including BBC Brit), wardrobe (3 coat hangers plus four drawers) kitchenette area which included induction hob, microwave, fridge with small freezer compartment, cutlery, wine glasses, washing up liquid and sponges (but no dish cloth). Bathroom was spacious, with walk in shower. Toiletries, towels and hairdryer were provided. The location was fantastic, with numerous bars and restaurants as soon as you stepped outside, in a vibrant, clean area. This was my second stay in Gdansk and I would not hesitate to stay at Aparthotel Grodzka again; I’m very pleased that despite my initial hesitation to book it (due to low level of reviews ) I decided to take a chance after all. It might look like a building site when you search for it on the maps but it’s definitely there now. …
This is a modern apartment hotel, in an absolutely fantastic location in Gdansk, right next to the river, a few minutes walk from the Muzeum II Wojny Swiatowej (Museum of the Second World War), and the centre of Gdansk a ten minute stroll along the river. The photo is of the view taken from the apartment window. The flat itself is very comfortable, and well furnished, close to everything you'd want to see in Gdansk.
